IMPORTANT FYI: The Women’s pair is longer because the equivalent size to a Women’s 8 is actually a big kids 6.5 not a 6. To translate a “big kids” size to a women’s you add 1.5. So its like you were comparing a womens size 7.5 to an 8. All other points are valid though. Just thought viewers should know. Hope that makes sense!
@@aaniyaf2405 yes. Keep in mind that AF1 are slightly larger than average trainers. I wear 6-6.5 in average trainers and took size 6 Kids and it fits me perfectly. I also tried size 6in women and they fit about the same I would say. So take 4 and then you can see if you need a smaller pair.
Thank you for this video. I asked the lady from the shop if there were any difference and she only pointed out that the laces are a little bit yellow in the juniors one. However I tried them on and the women were MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE. I wear size 5 or 5.5 (uk), but even though there were 40€ difference, I went for the womens size.

I wonder if the youth version has any air cushion in the sole, because the difference in the size of the air cushion between the men and women version is huge. The men version has the air cushion almost on the entire sole, while the women's only has a tiny cushion under the heel and that s it.

A kid's 6 is a women's 7.5. I'm guessing differences in comfort come down to design but maybe also production factory. There's a slight difference in the toebox perforation patterns with the kid's and men's models having more perforations that women's models for some reason.

I personally always find a good fit with 4.5-5Y depending on the brand but I like the more sleek fit and a tighter fit since when u break a shoe in they always seem to stretch and get bigger too. With that said youth sizing always fit me better but I also have a very slender size 6 women’s foot so that works for me. Very few cases I’ve actually sized down to 4Y but it’s not often and again it’s always bc brand is made bigger in my conclusion. And of course they always have the price break too.. size 6 correlates and adidas are probably the only shoe I can actually buy in womens size that will fit me the way I want. Yes it’s a preference and if u can get a way with it then I say go for it!! Ur always gonna come out on top since most lines are same shoe for woman vs mens vs youth lines of shoes anyways only difference are the slight sizing and definitely the price!! And the more u know about it the easier it is to be able to shop online and get it right the first time… also remember too just bc u wear 6womens -4.5-5y in Nike it’s not always gonna be same size for the brand bc they have many different lines that are made for different types of feet sizing… some slimmer some wider some are bulkier some are just so narrow u have to size up but then it’s too long lol trust me I get it that’s where u need to know ur lines and definitely about what fabrics fit u best too. Since there is no availability in sizes at physical stores AT ALL, I find it really hard to make up my mind and keep comparing all my sneakers in sizing and length. Well, I can wear 39 in chuck taylors platforms with a very thin sock but I bought 39,5 in my high ones for winter so I can wear them with warmer and thicker socks (I think it's 8.5). I had bought stan smith in size 40 which is US size 8 but also 39 1/3 in ozelias (7.5) fits me as well. Regarding the AF1s I am trying to figure out whether I should by a kids 6Y which in EU is 39 or 40 (7Y). I had tried the women's once in size 39 which was good but there is a difference in kids' and womens' sizes (39 in kids is 0.5cm smaller than women's) so I'm afraid that kids may be a little small, Idk (Also AF1 shadows 39 felt a little small). I have been struggling to figure out the right size actually those past years... I have always ended up buying larger shoes and feeling unconfortable with them... Sorry if I confused you. shoe sizes are so confusing, different brands have different sizing and even different models of same brands have different sizing. it's a nightmare. Just ordered size 7.5 air forces and hope they will fit right. I tried size 8 in the store and they were too big
Always go by cm. Check the cm size of your favorite pair of shoes and always go by that, except for air max 97 then you go 0.5-1cm up. Some shoes are just off a bit even when you use cm and inches 🤷🏾♂️ Also af1's fit different than most modern sneakers. As far as I remember they fit like Chuck Taylors.

@@aaniyaf2405 The difference between UK sizes and US kids/men's (men's sizes are just a continuation of kid's sizes starting at 7.5 US) gets tricky at the smaller end. I would look up a nike size conversion chart. I would recommend going down half a size in AF1s so get a UK 3.5, which will either be a kid's 4 or 4.5.
