Best tips for not creasing:
1: Don't tighten the laces so tight
2: Don't put the laces throught the top hole
3: Know when to get a fresh pair

For people looking to see if it works, I'm glad to tell you it does, and very well, poking holes through the plastic with a small needle if it gets hot works well for me, it's comfortable and you barely notice it.

Yo this guy's method works so good like i dont need to spend alot money to avoid creases. This guy is a genius
I did this, except I layered 4 shields together and duct taped them. this gives you a more permanent shield. i find that when i used single layers, they didn't provide as much crease protection as i would've liked, and they would deform over time, leading to a crease unless you stay on top of it and replace it preemptively. depending on how much space you have left in the shoe you could experiment with double, triple, or quadruple layering until you find what offers the best balance of protection and comfort. my af1's after a year look great after doing this. the toebox has minor surface creases, but nothing that affects the actual shape. unless you look closely, the toebox looks new

This actually worked better for me than £10 sneaker shields. I used a folder same as him, I chose the one with the thickest plastic on the front and back that still had a decent amount of bend in it. Can't feel them when I wear them and it massively reduces the bend in the toe panel while walking. Good job, liked and subscribed.

@@xxxxxx-ln6in You can feel that they're in there, but its not uncomfortable. I think the fact they're based on the exact shape of the shoe as opposed to a generic shape makes it fit better and stay tight to the sides. One of them did slip back a little once and then I could feel it more, so I'm going to see if i can do anything to increase the grip and stop them moving back
The ones I made didn’t work, maybe it’s got to do with the plastic being too thin
@@user-cl8yj8fh8b Probably yes, the plastic itself actually needs to be relatively thick because there's actually quite a lot of force that the shoe gaurd needs to be able to hold in place.
