I've worked with someone who absolutely belittled everyone in her orbit. I'm talking if anyone knew, her career would be over. Then the second the red light is on she's talking about social issues like she's a champion of the people when really she's a champion of the platform. All to the applause of a crowd that doesn't know any better. Ask anybody who either works behind the scenes or has common sense enough to understand that celebrities and celebrity culture is the biggest fucking grift you've ever seen, then you'll understand that Ricky gave out some Kendrick-level headshots that night. And very quietly a whole audience was cheering.
