@@jbri1 He allowed Ricky to label him an unimportant, old has-been. A specky geek who always makes the same sort of films. I'd say that was being a good sport.
ya well I feel sorry for people like him who think they are so smart and so cool because they are celebrities. The guy is really trash, he even tries to make advertisement of his "The Office" DVD on a charity event, that's really vanity to the extreme.
I feel sorry for the people that don’t see his fantasies being played out on screen disguised as ironic cockyness. The guy is a great entertainment but also incredibly annoying and narcissistic. Karl, Steve, and Ricky’s entire subreddit can attest to that.
In his intro, who is Ricky Gervais making fun of? HIMSELF. He is "in character" as "the ignoramus" who doesn't understand that he is a b-list celebrity or that it is not socially acceptable to be that pompous. But that is a comic character. If the real Ricky didn't know those things, it wouldn't be funny.
And behind the face was another smaller face. Quite a bit 'airier this little face. People were all confused and sayin "what's going on here?" Turns out....
His face when it cuts back from the homeless people and he's reading the radio times is legendary
Hahaha
It's a ginger joke. The homeless guy is ginger so he doesn't care about that one.
This is amazing it is like david brent playing ricky gervais rather than the other way around.
That was his persona for the 2000s
I've genuinely watched this loads of times, love it. Ricky in his prime!
Never get this one back
"just laying down some charity vibe innit" haha
ricky gervais always has some great "montage with music" scenes in his shows, be it office, extras or even random stuff like this
Yup, he's quite a fanatic about music.
Props to Richard Curtis for being such a good sport.
he didn't do anything
@@jbri1 He allowed Ricky to label him an unimportant, old has-been. A specky geek who always makes the same sort of films. I'd say that was being a good sport.
His facial expression when gervais was doing chicken thing was brilliant
I could watch that segment with Curtis on loop for ages.
i really feel sorry for the people who dont see the irony in his cockyness.
You mean Americans?

John is one of the people who can't see the irony in his cockiness
@@jovanni2343 each to their own. different comics for different... needs.
He's the funniest man that's ever lived in my opinion.
I'm guessing you're Gen Z?
Yes and he also gave rise to Karl Pilkington an unintentional comic genius!
@@Hellwyck I'm guessing you're a mong who believes in horoscopes
Would you suck him off?
‘Put your cap on’. Superb
3:30 - 'wake up, Specky -smell the coffee...." LOL!
Absolute comedy gold, he is a national treasure
The scene with Gervais and Curtis taping the appeal is just like Chris Martin in “Extras”, touting his album. Classic!!
"Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen" lol
LOL Blue doing the David Brent dance... fantastic!
but i wanted to see Ricky sing w/ Blue!
Im one of the 1.2million that have the office dvd!
his face at 1:50 is classic!
I'd love to see a part two ❤
Love Blackadder, yes. Love Gervais also and fair play to Curtis in this too!
Great sketch!
this is what david brent would be like in real life if he was an actor
i think ricky will make me laugh so hard one day i will die!!!!! so funny
Steven merchant at 4:48
I love Ricky 🥰
If you don't get this, just leave the building, top drawer comedy.
“BRRAAAACK!!!” 🐔 😂
Gervais saying he hangs around with 'Blue' ! LOL. That dates this pretty badly.
He is so funny 😂
The David Brent dance.. comedy gold🤣

I guess it's better than hopping around a garden, waiting to die. LOL
It’s not Ricky it’s Brent 😂
Classic!

Ahh.... ricky
The longest running involuntary russell crowe impression ever..... genius.
Very Brent-esk 😅😂❤
Gervais. The ultimate one trick pony. Bloody good trick though.
BRAAAK! BRAAAAAAAAKK!!
brillant!
its funny how in the process of a being denied the plugging of his dvd he actually does plug it
Still funny to this day
I suppose there’re some people who might watch this an think that’s what Ricky Gervais is really like
It is now.
Wow, Gervais spares no one, that's what makes him so loveable and hateable
"he's dead wood" lol
legend
David brent in character
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 classic..
Blue are dressed like its 1993
@Hoyatas It's a different type of comedy, so of course most americans won't be used to it at all.
Curtis in this reminds me of Neil Godwin
hahahahhaha... brilliant
When he starts the chicken impression, that's just him now - he wasn't even in character :)
1:52 - hysterical
Sounds like Blue are doing a cover of Afternoon Delight
Funny man😄
I LOVE BLACKADDER!!!!
I dont know if Ricky plays David Brent or David Brent play Ricky Gervais
I'm Ricky Gervais, obviously 🤣😂

what song is that at 1:25 ?
Phil Collins: Another day in paradise
Does anyone know the song at 1.30?
Thanks
Phil Collins. another Day in Paradise
@karldgirly I think it's from 2003.
@wideheadofknowledge What makes that hilarious is how LOOOoooOOOng it goes on for, like he's (Rick) is possessed
LOL
I thought he was serious..
Don't Travel Nevada!
LMAO!
Anyone else think the mask has eaten into the face?
Xfm mong! 😊
And behind the face was another smaller face. Quite a bit 'airier this little face. People were all confused and sayin "what's going on here?"
Turns out....
And he used the same joke in extras
Um this isn't REAL is it.. it's more GERVAIS laid on thick, isn't it, isn't it?
I'm turning schizophrenic watching this kind of thing.
He’s playing a more Brent-eque version of himself (circa early 00’s)
@karldgirly Wow, really!?
HA
to think back then he had a go at the comedy bigwigs like richard curtis. now he schmoozes up to letterman and seinfeld. sell out!
RED DWARF was bigger than OFFICE
The thing is... not true 11 yesrs later
Bullseye. When you see him with the third homeless person looking at the Radio Times. I almost pissed myself
