Also, for about $30 to $50 you can get an attachment that goes on the end of your pressure washer wand that turns it into a sandblaster that will save you all that wire wheel action 😉
Looks really good. I didn't prime my frame when I used the por15 so maybe that is why mine is chipping in spots. But good job! I'm really enjoying the build and am excited to see how other restorations are going.

I know I'm late to the party but as a professional painter I had to chime in. For as much money as you spent on rattle cans and brushes you could have bought a cheap airless sprayer and had it for all your future projects. They are very easy to use and last a long time when maintained
I agree with you Paul. I have since purchased an inexpensive spray gun and painted my first vehicle last December. It was a good experience and a lot of work. I painted my old square body flat black and I think it turned out pretty good. Easier to start with a flat color in my opinion as well. Learned a lot through the process. Looks great to me. I believe the USN uses POR on ships. If it chips or peels it's probably from oil residue on the steel. Kinda wish you'd do another jeep, maybe a CJ8?
I use a GoPro Hero 7 and a Sony RX100 VII along with a Rode wireless mic set up. Depending on what I'm filming depends on which camera I use. Both make great video at 1080p 60 frames/second. Both can do 4k but the processing time with my 5 year old laptop is too long so I stick to 1080. JD
@@dalejrfan820002000 Starting up a youtube channel or just making videos for fun? The newer iPhones should also be considered as they do pretty good video as long as you hold them horizontally. I started out with the original Gopro and they do great for a variety of things. Good little cameras and waterproof. The Sony was a recent upgrade I made. Good luck with your choice on that, lots of good choices out there. JD

I just painted my subframe as well. I just cleaned the frame really good and used rustoleum paint. Turned out good

What size of por15 paint do you recommend to cover the frame thoroughly?
I did the subframe of the camaro with less than 1 quart. A full frame would probably use more than 1 quart but I'm not sure. Hope this helps. JD

This paint needs to be cleared anyways that paint does not hold up
I’ve had good experiences with it on my jeep so we will see how it does.
