I have a 1979 Z28 with the front clip, motor, and transmission all removed. Starting to put it all back together. This playlist has been really informative. Great work and I hope it continues!

Thanks for all these Camaro Videos. My 80 Camaro has been sitting (undriven) outside for 25 years. About 1.5 years ago, I pulled it into my driveway and have been going through the same thing you are. Although, my work is not as good as yours. Anyway, waiting for the warm weather to return so I can replace my front end suspension, steering, and sway bar components. All my bushings are still original and very dry rotted. I watch all your videos and they help me a lot, so thanks again. Kevin

You're welcome and thank you for checking out the videos. I'm sure your work is just as good as mine!! I kinda learn as I go and make mistakes all the time. Like you I also don't like working in the extreme cold!! I'm looking forward to getting back into the Camaro soon. JD

I've owned a '78 Type LT with the original 350/TH350 and an '81 Camaro Sport Coupe with a 6.6 400/TH400. The '78-'81 Camaro is my favorite car and I know them almost entirely inside and out. I'm subscribing just to see this beast come to fruition! Such a great base to start a restoration on and it seems like you're taking all the right steps to make it look and drive great!

Hey Alex thanks for the sub!! It’s been a little slow going but when she’s done man she will be a beast for sure as you said. As I type this I’m working on the vent windows to my square body and the camaro is sitting right next to me in the basement. I will get back on it soon! Thanks for checking out the build and for the feedback. JD

@@JDOffline You will find those springs make the car sit way to high. I would look into Hotchkis to match your front coils. Other choices include PTFB (Pro Touring F Body) or Custom Works for better spring choices. Both PTFB and Custom Works are small business' by run by Dave and Keith who also race 2nd gen Camaro's. Both of these guys offer complete suspension kits, all parts matched to work together. I am running PTFB springs, upper A arm, tall ball joints, solid body mounts and subframe connectors on my 72Z and the car corners like it is on rails. Both guys will not oversell you, tell them what you want to accomplish handling wise and they will recommend the kit that will do that for you.

Long story but the short story is my wife and I built a house and it took right at a year to get done. I'm about to start making more videos and do a channel update. Fighting a bulging disk in my back right now so between the house and my back issues it has been a minute. The Camaro looks just like it did in this video and is eagerly awaiting completion.
