    That's so keen to see, I had contemplated a board build like that near the beginning of my foiling journey, packs smaller than the hard boards and for learning, it has great stability in the water. Unlike most inflateable boards, looks like all the deck area is solidly connected to the foil. Happy to see this idea come alive! I can imagine my girlfriend learning on one of these and then happily keeping it.

    Do you see the blowfish working on other brand wing boards? I'm seeing a future where other wing foiling brands will come up with their own versions of the Blowfish to match their exact wing board shapes.

      I had the idea myself about 3 years ago, now Lift are doing it so almost certainly other manufacturers are thinking about it. Hopefully Lift don't try to patent it, the idea isn't really that novel, it's just practical and a basic good idea.

      I think it will fit a ton of boards and different brands 100%, just would have to try them unfortunately!

      Honestly I put the 4'9 Blowfish on my 4'2 and it works but you have to cut the bottom material to fit the mast as it sits more forward in the Blowfish. It is not recommended but can work for sure. I would say check for yourself with yours, as I would hate to guide someone wrong is its not made for it. My 10 cents.

      @@hdpbjkd Yes I have already lined it up and that would be the only thing needed to be done. Then get creative on the way you strap it in.

      We just got word and was tested and confirmed the 4'9 BF fits the Lift2 5'0 and the 5'4 BF fits the Lift2 5'6, more or less. It does requires the user to get crafty with the handle strap situation. Also the 4'9 Blowfish fits on a 4'2 with cutting back the mast area on the blowfish to fit on. Word is its Nick's favorite set up!

    If you wanted to use this with a wing foil board / setup but the board doesn't have footstraps, would the unit need some sort of tie down across the board? Assuming a side to side handle tie down / bungee cord type solution would cause issues with feet getting tripped up.

    • @DamienLeroyYouTube
      @DamienLeroyYouTube  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Friend, I would go try it to double check for sure, but I think it would from my experience as it pinches in tight! Not to mention the water will be pushing the blowfish onto the board! Have a look at a dealer close to you to maybe try your board with one before you buy one. liftfoils.com/dealer-locator

      I was thinking about a mold to extend the front. It would cup the nose of the board and would extend it to the 4’9” minimum for the blowfish to fit. A bit like one those surf nose guards but longer and more rigid.

    I noticed that your setup doesnt include the motor or the propeller, maybe not the battery either . I would appreciate if you would make a video showing the wing working with efoil setup, the major reason being that we need the efoil after we get dragged downwind..... no more walk of shame, bro.

    • @DamienLeroyYouTube
      @DamienLeroyYouTube  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You don't need the wing with the efoil as you have power from the efoil battery. You could use the efoil with a folding prop and ride with the wing and then power it on and efoil back up wind. I am guessing that is what you are thinking. Maybe not ideal but might work.
