Picked one up for the bigger screen over the SE and battery capacity. I’ve not been disappointed with it and really enjoy not having to charge it multiple times a day.
Thank you, let women know that the watch is larger but it’s just fine for women too, just get what you want. The safety features, I think are a must for women, the siren, a phone on your hand while you’re jogging along the ruggedness and many more things are just perfect for women. The brightness in the sun is remarkable.

I’m happy you show using the small band on the Ultra. A couple questions, does the smaller bands clips ever fall out of place? Does it still look smooth? Getting it for moms for Christmas & curious on the band sizes fitting the watch under 45mm.

I was thinking the same thing. The size of the ultra is not small wrist friendly. It’s quite silly looking.
Krystal, can i ask what wallet case you are using on the back of your phone? its that the apple one? i have been wanting to get one but the price always puts me off. Fab vid love my watch too, looking forward to what else i can do as its my first apple watch since the first one over 4 years ago

Have you slept with it on? What’s’s your favorite band so far? I just got mine a week ago today and I had been thinking of returning it but since I enjoy walking and trail hiking alone at 70 years young, I will be keeping it due to the safety and rugged features. Don’t care if it’s too big looking on my wrist at least it doesn’t feel heavy.
i have been using a sport band for sleeping but just got the yellow waterproof one and its really comfortable.

Great video thanks It was nice to see it on a lady’s wrist because I am worried about it being to big for my wrist. I was just curios what size wrist do you have. Just trying to decide I don’t have a apple store near me and the Best Buy does not have it. I am in Florida just had the hurricane so it has been a mess around here. I have about a 6.5 wrist. I don’t like any of the bands that come with it maybe I would go for the trail loop black but that orange tab will drive me crazy. I gues I will go for the sport loop band after I get it and that might be better. Once again great video Thank you

You mention the 41mm bands would still fit with the ultra?
I just got the ultra 2 a month ago I love it I tested the backtrack and waypoint they are accurate the Siren does come in handy so you can find each other the it’s not hard to leave the phone at home and use this beast the battery life is fantastic I can get about 2 to 3 days with about 30% left

I am a 58 year old equestrian cowgirl and decided to purchase this for trail riding and workouts. Wow! Yes it’s big and the bands that come with it are uncomfortable. With that said, I went on eBay and ordered a couple of $20 bands for comfort. As for the size of the Watch? WORTH IT! I can see the maps and it is necessary functions I don’t need my iPhone at all. Mostly, the calling and speakers and compass are so good, and also I am hard on my Apple Watches but this one so far has taken all the beatings of barn and gym. However, the bands do not and they stretch easily and get dirty easily although seem to wash pretty good. I wish they had the stainless steel band like my other Apple watches or at least a titanium band to match this Ultra. That is would be perfect as it never showed the dirt and was easy to take on and off and wash. For horse riding the Ultra size is perfect for horseback for all iPhone functions like talking, texting, and music and gps apps and maps.

I picked up my Ultra on launch day, I have the tiny man wrists so initially thought I’d be returning it. But NOOOO, I’m keeping the Ultra, and I’m NEVER going back to the old styles. Finally and Upgrade 😎 💪 sending tons of good vibes from Winnipeg!!!
I’m in same boat as you with wrist. I been long time Garmin fenix user had an apple watch series 3 at one point to pair with my iPhone but i didn’t care for battery life and way the series 8,7 etc looked. Currently have a Fenix 6 47MM. It fits and looks good on my wrist but now that ultra came out i love their rugged design and battery life that I’m highly considering going back to Apple Watch with this one. Consider this one! I’m excited to get it. High fitness user, and the convenience of getting calls and text be cool too

Anyone have scratches from their alpine band after it hitting when taking it off? I’m sure this issue would be more common with people with larger wrists since they have to open it wider
Place your finger between watch and the band so that the g hook will hit your finger instead.

Absolutely love mine! The screen size, how vibrant and bright it is in direct sunlight. The battery life has been stellar. The chunkiness and overall design makes it pop compared to other Apple watches.
I wouldn't call battery life "stellar" apple still needs to improve their battery life without making the watch chunkier. Competition is killing it in battery life compared to apple.

Love my Ultra and the orange Alpine band is awesome. They need to make an orange diving band too and I will get that also although yellow is traditionally what you should have. It's weird but true, this watch makes you want to do more physical activities. With my other previous Apple Watches they felt delicate and I didn't trust them to more physical activities but with this one I don't care and have not much fear. I wouldn't have any fear swimming, surfing, diving, playing tennis etc with it on.
ummm, sorry... but dont go diving with it. because after.... if you wanna make a call on the watch, the mic doesnt work lol.

I purchased the Apple ultra 2 about 1 week ago and I thought it was too large for me however after trying it on in the Apple Store I changed my mind. I charged the Watch up to 100% at 7:45AM and right now 10:24PM it still has 64% my Apple Watch 6 would need to be charged up way be for now.

The battery life alone makes it worth it for me! But also the titanium even tho its a bigger watch overall screen and body i feel as if its not much different than my series 6 stainless steel in terms of weight which makes it nice plus the added durability ifs fantastic
So you "gave" 800 euros just for the battery? Because this size doesnt seem comfy on your wrist, and will not provide accurate reading as its wobbly on a smaller wrist.

Definitely not my style or for me as someone who isn't that active or away from a charger for long anymore, it is still a beast of a watch and definitely worth its price for what you get.

I'm a big woman with tiny wrists. I had a 45mm 6 which was just right. I thought maybe the Ultra was too rugged looking for me, but it's growing on me.

@@abdulaliakbar1175 gps, super accurate, my job requires me to be following a GPS hours a day .. battery life. is a game changer. i have been beating it up. sometimes i slam my watch in a corner or car. and it has zero scratches still... really tough titanium case... amazing peice. the button on the side can be custimized. the strap is nice. and thats it.

The watch is huge!! That's what I like about it. Very pricey though. This reminds me of when Apple finally changed the size of the iPhone to a bigger screen. It's hard to go back to smaller sizes overall. What is everyone's favorite watch band though?
Braided Solo loops by faaaar, they’re so comfortable to wear all day everyday 😍 however I’m noticing the alpine loop is just as comfortable to wear everyday as well, very impressed 👏🏼

The watch isn’t pricy, it’s only $50.00 more than the stainless steel model, I thought it was a bargain.

Why doesn’t anyone mention their wrist size on these reviews? Can you please share your wrist size in the comments section so I can have an idea how big it will be? My wrist is very tiny 14cm or 5.5 inch
Guess that this is one thing in my lifestyle that I am not a normal. Thing is my late father who was a depression era child, and a fur trapper had a prize possession of a high-end pocket watch. As such I have owned some wrist watches that only tell time that when adjusted for inflation would cost more than the Apple Watch Ultra. When it comes to watches the new Apple Watch 8 Ultra I feel comes in at a very good price of $ 799.00. One thing so far I have not herd from most of the pundits is the flat sapphire crystal, and protection up to the edge. This is a big feature for me.
Have had sapphire on my watches before I moved to an Apple Watch. My first Apple Watch screen took a beating, and was a little scratched up to the point it bothered me. Now my Apple 5 Cellular Watch always has a Smiling Case Compatible with Apple Watch Series 6/SE/Series 5/Series 4 44mm with Built in Tempered Glass Screen Protector,Overall Protective Hard PC Case Ultra-Thin Cover- Clear. So far no scratches, however when I sweat the perspiration gets under the protector so I have to take it off to dry it out when I get home.
If I did not already have an Apple Watch the Apple Watch 8 Ultra is the model I would purchase. Thing is since I already have the Apple 5 Cellular Watch that does everything I want it to do except glucose monitoring (really want), or blood pressure monitoring (would be nice) I will stick with my Apple 5 Cellular Watch.

Tried this for 2 weeks and switched to the Series 8. I do think it’ amazing for certain people (me obviously not being one of them…yet).
First, and this is only my opinion, I think it’s too big for small wrists such as mine. This is obviously subjective but I think it looks comically large on her wrist (and mine, again also small).
Now, for what I loved. Have owned multiple Apple Watches in the past and battery life was the most annoying thing about it. If you actually used it for activities with GPS and cellular and closing your rings (addictive), then you couldn’t really also do sleep tracking without either your battery dying in the night or being so low the next morning you then had to charge it and miss out on tracking/ring obsession. And if you really planned your charges you could be minimally interrupted, but that one time you forget to plug it in and need it, or go away for a weekend trip and have to pack (or forget) a watch charger it’s really annoying. This solves that, by being able to go multiple days without charging. This is the biggest victory to me, but I also loved the display brightness, flat screen, and action button.
I already stated I thought it was too big. But that said the only thing that got me to switch back to regular Series 8 is that the style is simply more versatile. I work in business and can pull off a stainless steel Apple Watch (with leather bands or metal links or Milanese loop) with business casual attire and business suits. I don’t think an Ultra would work well with a suit.
If you don’t care about wearing your watch for business (or have another watch for that), and especially if you don’t have a small wrist, I think this is the Apple Watch to get. Despite me thinking it looked way too big on my wrist, I still would have kept it were it not for the dressing up for work aspect.

I did some measurements - to make this look reasonably good, the top of your wrist needs to be 2 inches so the lugs don't overhang. So about a 6.5 inch wrist size minimum.
