The American Suspension Bolt on Neck Kit for Harley bagger motorcycles gives great handling because the geometry is very similar to a weld on kit. The mounting system includes several redundant mounts for maximum reliability. Simple installation is shown in the video. It should take less than 10 minutes to install the neck (a few hours to remove and replace the fairing, wheels and handlebar. The specs for a 26” wheel kit are +4° in the neck and 7°. So the total neck rake ends up at 37°. Geometry is Similar to the American Suspension weld in neck that is specifically designed for the 26" wheel. The specs for a 30” wheel are +9° in the neck and 12° total in the trees. This is similar to what many weld on kits are using and will work great on your Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Cutting and welding your frame permanently changes your motorcycle. This almost always instantly voids your warranty. A bolt-on/bolt-off kit can easily be removed at any time and put back to stock condition.
This is about the same as leading weld on kits - but NO WELDING, NO CUTTING, JUST BOLT IT ON. You can unbolt the kit if you get tired of the big wheel and put your Harley back to stock.

We ordered this kit and received it within three days. The kit was complete with no missing parts. In fact, the slider covers also came with bolts so we had two sets of bolts. The neck we received was also finished in black and was machined so all the factory HD wiring harness retainers fit. The only issue we found was the bolts for the handlebar bushings were a little long (1/8"), 30 seconds at the bench grinder cured it. We used a hydraulic fitting wrench to set preload on the neck bearings.

Looks very nice, you change the rake without welding or any permanent mods, although to it looks as if het puts the triple trees on backwards. I'd rather have them sticking forward, because raking already increases trail.

I just put a 26 inch rim on a 2001 ultra classic with American suspension Bolton kit. For some reason at low speeds taking off and slowing down to go around corners, it gets a very bad wobble back-and-forth in the handlebars. Any ideas what could cause this? It has brand new tires and the bearings were checked.

THIS KIT IS MISSING STUFF YOU WILL NEED MORE FIRST HE DOESNT USE BEARING DUST COVERS IN VIDEO BEARING LOAD BOLTS ARE HORRBILE CANT BE FINE TUNED DOES NOT COME WILL COW BELL BOLTS AND YOU WILL NEED A 1 1/4 WRENCH AND GRIND IT DOWN TO FIX ON THERE SMALL NECK BOLTS THATS THE PROBLEM THESE COMPANIES THAT MAKE THESE DONT RIDE THEY JUST BUILD SHIT IT GREAT BUT NEEDS ALOT OF FINE TUNING
