The protections are totally useless from the moment that there is the possibility of ruining an unrepeatable filming. Do not travel with rice or portable air conditioning equipment. They are supposed to be action cameras and the protections are precisely to protect in hostile environments. Not in spaces with controlled humidity.
I used the same ones and took them off. The record quality looks horrible with these on. Good on lens protection however the quality of your camera recording drops.
I followed the above instructions then went out and did some video. I could tell NO difference with the lens guard on or off. None, zero difference in quality or anything else.

i bet u will have to remove them i tried after recordings few videos i found them horrible... lines were there n video quality was worst
You are correct. I removed them after just 2 outings
What's the alternative if you don't want to damage your lens
@bikermeeth there is one lens protector that i m using that can be open easily if u want!

I totally agree with everything you said. One time it was full moon my dog cooked rice.
What will happen if we don't match with that hole
Stitch line in the video will be more visible.

It really spoils the video, even if I'm just taking pictures. I'd rather take it off. It's not good for anything
So true... I'll probably take it off but for now since I'm new to Insta360 I'll leave it on.

Ok naman itong lens guards ang kaso eh ang dali magasgas. Halata yung gasgas sa pag natapat sa may araw na video shoot.
