I haven’t tested it yet as this is primarily our doors camera. I know it is not the best for indoors.

I know I need an action camera. But I was very hesitant about which camera to buy. I was mainly concerned about the image quality. This video of yours looks like it will make me want to buy the insta 360 x3. It was a very useful and educational lesson for me. I am grateful.
Thank you very much for your comment. I can honestly tell you that all action cameras are very similar. If you know how to set up your camera correctly and change settings, the way it works for you, you will get a great result. I am personally very happy with this one. It is very versatile, and the fact that you can record all 360, not only one view is unbelievable bonus.

That really depends on your personal preference… I usually try to test both and see what looks better depending on the light conditions and scene
great video. I just got the Insta360 X2 and found it sometimes overexposes the video. I'm going to try Standard color and on bright days set exposure to -0.5.

But I only noticed that the videos about entering the settings went so fast that I lost track. Until I saw your explanation and could set everything up while I was watching. Many thanks for this. I will be also getting a bike myself for the summer so I will be using the same settings myself….. enjoy and be careful out there

And one more question: I read several reviews about protecting your lenses with lens protectors. both positive and negative. Do you have experience with lens protectors? I also saw one of Tilta's cage that has a rotating mechanism on top so that it does not fall on the lenses when it falls. Is that a better option?
Zdenka, two years ago I was just about to buy the DJI Mini 2 and then you bought one. You buy the iPhone 14 Pro days before I bought mine. In the last few weeks Ive been researching the Insta360 X3 and will be purchasing one soon and now of course you have one. Please stop reading my mind. 😉

great guidance !. but one thing I noticed with this X3 is that in the low light the flowstate stabilisation works badly ... now I'm thinking to upgrade to One Inch 360 🙈
Yes it is true…. Little sensor…. The upgrade should make a big difference
Hey, I am stumbling over this video in search of a way to prevent stuttering when filming in very bright light, eg on the mountains. When I pan over a scenery it stutters so much. I have the feeling the camera shortens the shutter speed to not overexpose. At this point with a drone or proper camera you would put a nd filter on to retain the smooth video. Is there anything I can do in the camera settings or in post to get rid of it. Even the most advanced features for retiming in davinici resolve studio (optical flow+speedwarp) don't really help. Does 25fps vs 30fps differ much? I shot everything in 25fps to this point. Cheers!
Yes, those are difficult conditions. Unfortunately, don’t think you can do any thing better than that

What are you thoughts on using lens guards? Seems quite controversial on image quality.
I don’t use them and I never will… I dropped a camera on the rocks on the beach. Not the first time…. Not even a scratch. I also never used any protective glass over a new lenses on my big camera because if I’m getting an expensive lens, I’m not going to put a cheap filter over it. I want to quality I paid for.

I have subscribed urs channel. I got useful information regarding shooting through insta360 x3. Earlier I was using richo theta sc2, it's not upto mark. I bought insta360 x3 recently. My question is when I applied all HDR seeting as per video you described. When I took shoots they are looking very stunning and bright on mobile app. I want to know what is the best way to export that quality 360 images from insta360 studio. Lots of you tube videos explain only video related information. I want to know how to export good quality 360 images from insta360 studio. If you have any related videos or information kindly share.

Where would you recommend to get Luts for insta360?
I don’t think you need them unless you film in LOG profile… I honestly don’t feel the need. You can tweak little bit the colors in the post. Some video editors even have free Luts you can use
Does it work as dash cam for night and day? Cuz when i use it day and night the license plate for the cars around me doesn’t appear that much
Good question. They did not specify this, so I’m assuming they think it can be used at day and night
