Like a four year old child. Running around excited, exploring and laughing. That's what landscape photography does to us and it's wonderful. Toms passion for his art is palpable in this video. The photographs are stunning and so special 👌
Your enthusiasm and fun nature have worn off on me and I leave this video smiling and wanting to go out w/camera. Your 'ease' in finding and shooting compositions in 12 min. is mind-blowing. Being able to press the shutter 3 times and walking away with award-winning images is why I have no problem calling you, Master. I have come a long way with the quality of my photography by watching and learning from your very enjoyable videos. Thx Thomas!.
Sorry Greg, not sure what lens you are using, but horrible distortion that causes motion sickness. These one take videos are horrible and unwatchable. Use your new EOS R if you are going to shoot another video. Thomas needs to get his money back on this video. Until you get a better lens, less motion would be better. It is causing motion sickness on a iPhone, I would hate to see it on a larger screen. Not sure why your one take videos are like this because all your other videos on your channel are much better.
I really enjoy these videos because the chaotic nature of the filming and following you means we get a proper idea of the location, not just the bits that get photographed!
Great!! Love this action clips!! No blah, blah...just the root of photography! getting there, vision and snapping the photo! Excellent!! and entertaining!! Love it!
you joke about the 'master photographer' thing, but watching you under pressure, it is all but obvious; you really are a master. And the joy it brings you is contagious!
I love this. Simply running around a beautiful area busting out great shots without anything fancy. Especially like how you didn't use any filters, just your camera, tripod and some basic knowledge of settings and composition.
Greg did an absolutely fantastic job of following you and the action. I really don't understand how he not only showed up where he needed to to get closeups, but the footwork involved and the silky camera movement was a wonder. Thomas, this single take format was also unbelievable and fun. You have REALLY been stretching yourself(s) to take new perspectives on story lines and shooting formats, and it's been just fun fun fun. Love it!!
You have got to love a Mr Heaton one take video 🙏👌 Beautiful location and your images are truly stunning Tom, Greg did you proud on all of the one take Patagonia vlogs 🙏keep up the good work Tom your a true inspiration👍
What is it that people click the thumbs down for in the videos. I think these one shot videos are fantastic. Tom is working against the clock to produce an image and present his thoughts and composition to us. It's a definite thumbs up from me and congratulations on those images Tom. Fantastic autumn colours and water motion.
It was a very slick seamless video. Definitely not easy presenting and photographing in just one take. It was fast paced, with a hint of danger, but those autumnal trees were every which way you turned. It was like watching Treasure Hunt with Anika Rice minus the hot pants. You’ll be too young to remember that Tom.
Great shots, and great video. I really liked the way you talked us through the settings and reasonings behind them, from behind the camera in that first shot. Thank you.
Greg is doing a fantastic job here! Very ambitious to get the best possible take of every scene and he doesn't care if he gets wet or falls. Great work ethic, mate!!
Even I very much like your regular "cut" videos Thomas, those 'one takes' are so fun and so full of new raw information from landscape photographer life, please continue to do them from time to time ;-) Also big tribute to Greg for great job.
Everything is great in this video. The whole process of taking photographs is what I've been looking for all the time. And the exposure details in the ending is what helps very well. Thank you!
Hey Thomas I just wanted to share my opinion about the one take videos. I really enjoy them and they are a lot of fun to watch, even more when I know, you have fun doing them, but I have to admit, that I like your normal videos a tad more :) For me, watching your calm, partly narrated videos, is kind of a little brake from the hustle of the real world. I watch them to calm down, to relax. And obviously this calmness gets lost in those onetakes. But as I said, I still enjoy them a lot but I just wanted to give you a different opinion on these onetakes :) Please always keep doing what you love and what gives you the most joy, because that will gives us the most joy too! Thank you for all the amazing, free content, your inspiration and the things I've learned from you.
I love these One Take Videos! They give a much better idea of your thought process while you're setting up the shot. Love the 2nd pic. You are the MASTER PHOTOGRAPHER!
Hey Tomas, really enjoyed this one! I don't mind seeing you take time to make small adjustments or trekking to your location. I get the sense that you are trying to avoid too much "dead space" in these one-takes, but don't feel like you have to rush too much to keep things moving. I feel like I learn more every time I see you walk through the small composition tweaks that you do. Love the videos and that location was ridiculously beautiful!
I know you were trying to get this done in one take, but this was almost as frantic as my own normal shoots! Think these are great for showing your thought process, condensed down but without cuts! Keep them coming!!
Here he is my favorite photographer in the world Mr Thomas Heaton your work. is phenomenal I enjoy every second watching your videos thank for being such a great inspiration to me and I'm sure other photographer's too thank you.
I'm impressed how well you talk us through the entire take while setting up the compositions. I could never do that :) Spectacular location, such vibrancy. Out of the three images you took in this video I think I prefer the second, if I had to choose. Thanks for sharing!
Fantastic video Thomas. Reminds me of the movie, "Russian Ark" in which they go through the Hermitage in one shot. For me, seeing you scout the location, setup the gear, frame the shot, make decisions about exposure all 'live' is extremely helpful. It's much more real than "How To" videos because it's more engaging for the viewer. Well done.
Thomas you're getting better at this one-take video! The flow on this one was very good and it looked and sounded broadcast quality level. Kudos to you and Greg!
All 3 images works for me... i liked the 3rd one over the 2 nd one....very nice one ahot video... this is the real B roll... great job by Greg for filming this.
I am a big fan. I don't often comment but the one take videos are something to which I can relate. As far as I am concerned it is real-world photography. In the real world, shit goes wrong and often also. At least in my real-world photography it does. Thanks for exposing (no pun intended) yourself to me as a more everyday kind of "Tom". I appreciate you all the more. FWIW, I really liked the 16:9.
I enjoy these one-take videos! Please keep doing them in amongst the more traditional type - I think a lot of us would like to see a mix. Beautiful colours in this one. I think I prefer the 4:3 on the second shot - it has a little more depth because there's more room in the foreground for the water to move towards the viewer.
How’s that f stop bag compared with your osprey one? I have an f stop and was considering a osprey bag as I’d assumed it would bring more comfort on a long hike!?
Awesome to watch it unfold when you're in the same park. Having just left the stream as I walked through your shot, I was curious to see your take on it. Mine was closer to your 16X9 as opposed to the 4x3. Your video does capture the overall effect of dealing with the colors through the chaos when trying to find a composition.
Like a four year old child. Running around excited, exploring and laughing. That's what landscape photography does to us and it's wonderful. Toms passion for his art is palpable in this video. The photographs are stunning and so special 👌
Love the "One Take" series Thomas! They're great to watch - very real!
To coin a phrase from a well known photographer. Absolutely Stunning.
Thanks. Who's the photographer?
@@ThomasHeatonPhoto well you of course. Hahaha
Thomas Popple also Gorgeous. 😊

One Take for the WIN !! 🔥 Also the 4K is looking sweet. 🎥
That's the way to hang in there Greg. Surefooted Greg. I would have gone down.
the way you film and always stay framed at what is interesting while following Tom running around is just such great skill! really nice work!
Sorry Greg, not sure what lens you are using, but horrible distortion that causes motion sickness. These one take videos are horrible and unwatchable. 4k sweet. Yep!
Incredible filming Greg! I love these one take vlogs, they're fascinating 😊
I really enjoy these videos because the chaotic nature of the filming and following you means we get a proper idea of the location, not just the bits that get photographed!
Hats off to Greg. Steady, in focus and stayed on his feet. Great stuff.
I don't know if I'm watching Thomas Heaton or Ultimate Survivor
Haha.
*Squeezes moss for vital water
Now, I need to see a collab...
been thinking of that too :D
I think he is channeling Bear Grylls
Great!! Love this action clips!! No blah, blah...just the root of photography! getting there, vision and snapping the photo! Excellent!! and entertaining!! Love it!
Those one take videos are killing the game, love 'em !
you joke about the 'master photographer' thing, but watching you under pressure, it is all but obvious; you really are a master. And the joy it brings you is contagious!
This one take concept is a refreshing change in pace in photography videos.
Your style, your knowledge, your videos and your pictures are just glamorous! Very well done by Greg as well!
You are so lucky to be able to get to these marvelous locations. THOSE COLORS ARE CRAZY AWESOME!!!! Thank You Thomas
I love this. Simply running around a beautiful area busting out great shots without anything fancy. Especially like how you didn't use any filters, just your camera, tripod and some basic knowledge of settings and composition.

Thanks, Chris. Much appreciated. Glad you enjoyed it.
ooo, yas man. thats graint, th-cam.com/video/_aTTNdm0Z8U/w-d-xo.html
Love those one take videos. They're so much more natural. Please keep on doing that!
Next best thing to being there. One take videos with Heaton. The video quality is fantastic as well!!!
Thomas and Greg; You are both very talented. Thank you for inspiring so many people!
What is it that people click the thumbs down for in the videos. I think these one shot videos are fantastic. Tom is working against the clock to produce an image and present his thoughts and composition to us. It's a definite thumbs up from me and congratulations on those images Tom. Fantastic autumn colours and water motion.
These one take videos are fantastic. It’s really helpful to see you go through the process of framing the image. I’ve really enjoyed these!
You have chosen a fabulous place to shoot.
Beautiful! LOVE autumn colours. My favourite time of year to shoot pics.
Great job Greg! And Thomas, I’ve been following you for couple of years now and this format of videos suits you best! Beautiful captures!!!
Greg excellent job! Thomas don't you change!
Even under that kind of time pressure you manage to capture 3 beautiful images. Great video work by Greg as well !
I love these one take video's, the combination of speed and learning from your thinking process. It's inspirational. Thank you.
Just great to see artists supporting each other. Super photograph and video footage.
Those colours.....wow. beautiful photos as always and great to see how they can be made fairly quickly like this.....
Really like this new format - hope you have as much fun making them as we do watching them !
What an incredibly beautiful place. Looks like it was made for photographers.
Your One Take Series is SO Refreshing to see!
Today you show one, in my eyes, of your most fantastic photos. the second image is breathtaking , in composition and colors. thanks again.
That's very kind, thank you.
Absolutely beautiful compositions. You make it look so easy, and no Big Stopper used to slow the water down. Thanks, Thomas.
beautiful color on those little "trees" or bushes.... amazing....
Been watching your videos for a long time.
I can say without a doubt, that this is my favorite one.
Wow, that's very kind. Thanks.
OMG....those autumn colors!
What a beautiful place. Those colors are amazing!
Loving these One Takes, and Kudos to Greg for staying upright, what amazing colours in those trees.
Even I very much like your regular "cut" videos Thomas, those 'one takes' are so fun and so full of new raw information from landscape photographer life, please continue to do them from time to time ;-) Also big tribute to Greg for great job.
So enjoyable -and instructive. Like the single take format. Lovely captures all. Great job, Greg - made following you look smooth and effortless.
Great episode. So enjoy these one take videos, just seem more authentic and concentrating on the photography which is what it’s all about.
Also THOROUGHLY enjoying these 1 Take episodes. Thank you both 👏👏
Two things came across to me in this clip: how well Thomas knew his equipment, and how well he was able to explain his thoughts. Great clip.
I love this place. There's no better place to sit down, appreciate the sound of nature and have a mate. Superb images indeed. Greetings from Brazil.
These One Take series are great! Very practical and educational. I've probably learned more from them then those tutorial ones. Good idea!
Such stunning places you go to Thomas I love this one.
Everything is great in this video. The whole process of taking photographs is what I've been looking for all the time. And the exposure details in the ending is what helps very well. Thank you!
Beautiful one take video stunning waterfall and beautiful fall colors
I love this new way of making video: good storytelling, beautiful images. And Greg did a really good job!
Hey Thomas I just wanted to share my opinion about the one take videos. Wow. I think every TH-camr should have a Greg. He was awesome. Great location too.
Favorite video from Argentina! Loving the one-take stuff it feels like I‘m part of the trip. Hope you guys are having tons of fun!
I love these One Take Videos! They give a much better idea of your thought process while you're setting up the shot. Love the 2nd pic. You are the MASTER PHOTOGRAPHER!
Absolutely stunning, Thomas. Great framing and gorgeous colors. And thanks to Gregg who gave us those beautiful moments of your Patagonia trip!
Thanks to both of you for an enjoyable video and oh boy, those three photographs are so beautiful.
One more comment for you Thomas, that 3rd photo really is lovely. In fact, among my all time favorites from you. Well done.
Amazingly done. Great job Thomas and Greg. The images are beautiful. Such an inspiring video as always.
One shot videos puts a smile on my face every time! The energy is awesome:)
I like the one-take videos because I can see that even the famous Thomas Heaton has the same down-to-earth struggles that I do.
Gorgeus colors 😍
You've got to do more of these One Takes..they are the real deal..awesome work!!
Hey Tomas, really enjoyed this one! I don't mind seeing you take time to make small adjustments or trekking to your location. I get the sense that you are trying to avoid too much "dead space" in these one-takes, but don't feel like you have to rush too much to keep things moving. Stunning pics, Thomas, and you make it look so easy! Love these one take vids.
Love this one shot videos. Looking forward to seeing the next one
That waterfall looks like something I could only dream of.
I love love these one take videos! Simply awesome!
I know you were trying to get this done in one take, but this was almost as frantic as my own normal shoots! Think these are great for showing your thought process, condensed down but without cuts! Keep them coming!!
Beautiful images, Thomas, and thank you for your suggestions about wider apertures and the resulting shallower depth of fields. Worked really well.
Props for Greg on this one. Great job both of ya
Wow, those colors are really popping
Here he is my favorite photographer in the world Mr Thomas Heaton your work. is phenomenal I enjoy every second watching your videos thank for being such a great inspiration to me and I'm sure other photographer's too thank you.
Sounds so simple to take beautiful landscape photos!
Wow Mr Heaton!! Absolutely stunning, such vibrant Autumn colours and 3 fabulous shots, particularly pic number 3
I'm impressed how well you talk us through the entire take while setting up the compositions. I could never do that :) Spectacular location, such vibrancy.
Out of the three images you took in this video I think I prefer the second, if I had to choose. Thanks for sharing!

Heart in my mouth here, that Canon so near to being bashed or dropped!
I love the one take videos! Make the photography feel even more real, and its a little hard to clickbait 😉
Awesome tree colours - looks like a pleasure to shoot.
Thomas you're getting better at this one-take video! The flow on this one was very good and it looked and sounded broadcast quality level. Kudos to you and Greg!
Loved the video and what a fantastic place you are in. Looking forward to see the next one.
All 3 images works for me... i liked the 3rd one over the 2 nd one....very nice one ahot video... this is the real B roll... great job by Greg for filming this.
This was great! I think I can learn more from watching you actually work than I can from the polished video. Thanks!

I love all your work, Thomas, but the one take videos are my favourite. "Absolutely stunning."
Loving the one take videos. Kudos to Greg for not falling over.
Those trees were awesome - so delicate with amazing colours. Great vid. Enjoyed that.
I enjoy these one-take videos! Please keep doing them in amongst the more traditional type - I think a lot of us would like to see a mix. Beautiful colours in this one. What a sweet spot to shoot at! Those are some gorgeous colors!!
Fall foliage is looking G O R G E O U S !!!!!
Stunning images. Really loving the one take format. Mor eplease. And well done Greg!
Excellent, that's it, nothing else, just excellent.
How’s that f stop bag compared with your osprey one? I have an f stop and was considering a osprey bag as I’d assumed it would bring more comfort on a long hike!?
The colourful leaves set amongst the grey rocks looks amazing. Nice light too :) I would also shoot some ultrawide context shots.

Mine was closer to your 16X9 as opposed to the 4x3. Your video does capture the overall effect of dealing with the colors through the chaos when trying to find a composition.
Nicely done as always. Greg did well too, nice of you to mention him.
