Wenning planks are no joke! They get me locked in and ready squat!

  • @thebespoketaylor

Love all of these movements. I’m a big of fan of using the Wenning Planks as one of the movements for my Wenning Warmup on lower days. I get great activation and feel like everything turns on and is ready to go for the movement. We say it all the time but make sure you’re smashing that posterior chain if you want a massive squat!!

  • @bradleonard4431

When I incorporated these when my squat went down 30lbs for a couple months and all of these got me out of that deficit. Having long femurs doesn’t put my chest in a favorable position but (along with getting out of a deficit) I was able to use my posterior way more than ever, playing 8 years if football fucked my knees but now my knees have never been more healthy than now. I really appreciate all the free content and hope I’ll been on patreon before the end of the year!

I'm not a powerlifter but in my opinion the reverse hack squat is a very good squat builder.
The reverse hack squat enables to achieve the same angles and torque as a regular high bar squat but with a guided bar path.
Johnny Candito already made a video about it.

That shit you see women do all the time for glutes on the cables with the ankle attachment, is the closest thing I can think of that resembles the reverse hyper. Trick is to actually try and do the "arc" motion and let that cable really pull your leg forward. It's not the same but it still pumps the hell outta my lower back. (Also for the algorithm)

I love watching your videos to see what’s going out in the strength world. I have a question. I have replied and you said you could help with coaching or patron. It would be just blowing money for me. Here is why. Work in the oilfield and no rotation type style work. So no set schedule for me to work. Changing jobs out of question my wife would call me😂. I honestly feel like I could get one day a week in a gym on average. Rest would be my caveman set up at home and motels 75% of time. 41 years old manual labor but a lot of ass time on jobs and driving. Cardio is shit weigh back up to 280 in weight. My main goal would be state holder in bench in my state raw. Need @242 then work my way back breaking them. With covid and oilfield slow down I was able to train more and did get to 315 standing shoulder strict in my local gym. Also got 420 bench but wouldn’t count in meet by no means. I want to try but would it be worth it only able to train heavy one day and other days just bands I bring to the motel or sometimes they have a bench with 10-30 pounds but if your lucky up to 50 pound ones. Some days I can go 2-3 a week but that’s rare maybe once a month. It’s so hard for me to try and make a schedule and be able to stick to it with traveling and working long hours. I will be able pay my daughters college this work but weightlifting will not for me. So is there anything someone like me do and still hit them goals or just need to call it off until after she gets out of school?

you can do a back raise off the pins in a squat rack, just set to hip height and dig toes into the ground. Also do cable pull throughs which are amazing for the posterior! Do worry about the patreon.

@@1aspirefit yeah because everyone should get all their advise for free right ? How about get off your ass and do your own research. Love how in almost every other field consultants are highly paid for their advise but in the fitness world you’re suppose to take all the hours and YEARS of knowledge that you’ve accumulated and just give it away for free because someone says so. So insulting.
