    Super detailed. Thanks for that. Been rocking Hilti drywall guns since day one.
    Wanted to see how the new gun performed.

    • @ConstructionKronies
      @ConstructionKronies  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah man Hilti is great. I use the 4500 as my main gun and use the 5000 as backup, I'm having depth issues with the 5000 and just love the old model.

  • @vojnikjna30
    @vojnikjna30 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I love the 5000. Bought it once it hit shelves in Ontario. I did have an issue with the depth (wood only) and the trigger lagging a bit when firing it up between sheets. Warranty changed the whole motor assembly and trigger motor. Depth hasn’t improved so I just mash the heck out of it for a while and now she is good. I was actually really surprised how well Makita BL Screwgun work on steel. Dewalt in my experience has been garbage.

    • @ConstructionKronies
      @ConstructionKronies  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dude, I agree. Honestly, I can't stand using the Dewalt, I put up a lot of board and am very aggressive when I do it. The Hilti takes my abuse. This depth issue is driving me nuts. I have been trying to mash it in myself but no change. I know all guns are stiff at first and need to be worked in but this issue I think is in the motor. Every so often say 1 in 6 the depth stop triggers too early and I have to take the nozzle off to squeak in the screw to the proper depth. Thanks for taking the time to comment, I really appreciate it!

    Hey man any experience with the new Nuron line? Ive had dewalt for a while and have been happy but am thinking of making the switch to Hilti. Our work supplies us with the Hilti BX3 and Nibbler. But i havent tried their drywall gun or impacts on the Nuron line yet. Im worried about longevity with the new Batteries. Thanks I love your videos!

    • @ConstructionKronies
      @ConstructionKronies  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks man! Yes I waited for years till they perfected the new line and now am upgrading everything. I have the impact and drywall gun so far and the batteries are great. They charge lighting fast. I have the b22 55 and b22 85 batteries and have no problem with them. They've also fixed the problem with the drywall gun so all current models are good. Avoid the in between models of you know what i mean.

    What is your opinion of the SCREW MAGAZINE SD-M 2 02 for the inexperienced or experienced drywall hanger

    • @ConstructionKronies
      @ConstructionKronies  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It has its place in big crews, you can have the apprentices screwing off the fileds while we screw off the rest. I'm always adjusting for screw depth depending where I'm hitting, like corners, bevels for sure.

    I love my 5000. I streamlined mine by taking off the plastic clips so i can screw off angles. Paired with the M2, you can fly through sheets. I didnt notice the depth issue..could be lightweight board. Also got the extension pole, can screw off lids on tje ground. Do a reciew of the Excoskeletal Hilti if you get ahold of it.

      Haha yes I took the clips off my gun as well. They get in the way and really a drill hook is boss! I am trying to get ahold of the exo suit. I have been bugging the local Hilti store for one! I hope Hilti one day will recognize me and send me one!!

    The Hilti are great tools. But the makita push drive is better when working in offices. And the battery lasts longer as well. And the way when you screw Drywall, you put screws every 12" on center vertical 16" 32" studs & at 8" on center on each end stud. I see you only putting 3 screws on 4' board when you were railroading the boards. Should have at least 7 screws.

    • @ConstructionKronies
      @ConstructionKronies  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure what you saw in the video, I may have been just tacking them in, I put screws at the 2',4', 6' in the bevel, 4 in the bottom track. When the sheets are locked in I go back to screw off, always 1' in the bevel and 16" in the field unless otherwise specified. Cheers bro

    • @ConstructionKronies
      @ConstructionKronies  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do love Makita tools but I am really hard on my tools so the Hilti is tough enough. The depth issue usually only lasts while you break in new screw drivers but it hasn't corrected on the 5000. I can't stand the Dewalt drivers, hopefully I can get my hands on a Makita to try out!
