      Yes man, I almost bought the Milwaukee set up because of the weight and I am so glad I stuck with Hilti because they are half the weight of the previous model. It feels like it anyway!!

      I have the SID 4 Hilti and the M18 Milwaukee fuel gen 3 impact. The Milwaukee has masses more power than the Hilti is also tiny and lightweight.......Basically beats the Hilti hands down on everything!!..........BUT!..........I reach for the Hilti every time over the Milwaukee!! The Milwaukee's power is insane and a nightmare with a pozi bit, it just spins out of the screw. Better with hex heads. The Hilti is a joy to use in any situation. I also own the Hilti SF6H a 22 Hilti combi and the M18 fuel gen 2 Milwaukee. Same scenario......Milwaukee has much more power but again I always reach for the Hilti. The Hilti also has ATC for the 80nm of torque. Milwaukee doesn't have ATC and with a torque of 125nm if it snags and kicks it's going to break your wrist or give you a really painful arm for days!!
      Dave.

    The company I work for uses nothing but Hilti. Great products! 🙂👍
    I'm not sure the engineers who designed that building intended on having random 1/4" and 3/8" holes in the structural columns though. 🤔. But hey, I'm just a crane operator. What do I know? Lol

    • @ConstructionKronies
      @ConstructionKronies  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The steel columns and I beams are always full of holes by the time the buildings are complete. We fasten our tracks and end studs them and other trades put holes in them to. On this job the columns are all being framed and boarded as well so it will all be hidden.

      Yeah man! Its been a really great addition to my arsenal. Its super light weight and the power is great even with the 3.0 amp batteries, they last a long time. I am generally fastening heavy gauge steel. I also dropped it a few times coming down off scaffolding by using the clip on the gun, it didn't even scratch but I now have a proper hook on my tool belt for it, so I don't recommend using that clip! @@ConstructionKronies yea I love the brand too and I just wondered how Hilti would do against it. And I think Hilti should live to the line of tools Milwaukee has in sense of lighting and storage and tools. I'm just so invested into Milwaukee I can't really change unless giving a bunch of Hilti tools but, I would love to out them head to head against each other.

    • @ConstructionKronies
      @ConstructionKronies  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bigbeanlifts7066 Yes man - I have been asking Vince for a year now to put Hilti up against Milwaukee but nothing yet. I am building a new shop / studio starting in a month. I will be testing the hilti against Milwaukee and other brands in real world applications and what the tools are designed for. I can tell you that I have tried the Milwaukee brand in the field every chance I get when I am working with someone who has them, I like them much more than Dewalt but they aren't Hilti in the end! Thats why I stick with them too, i'm invested in the brand. I was only hoping to get lighter weight tools, but then the new Line of Hiltis came out and are lighter weight now. The batteries can be a huge difference, the 3.0 amp are super light weight and they even have 2. something amp batteries (that I just learned about). The 5.2 amp batteries are super heavy!

      @@ConstructionKronies awesome, that option has the hammerdrill. I have a large Te18 model hilti hammerdrill so i thought I wouldn't really need that option. When we hammerdrill at my company for anchors for pipe its typically all day serial drilling hundreds of holes. Not just here & there... We are now ruffing in wood for a change and have some locations that are maybe 5 or 6 stacked 2x's. So I was gonna go as big as i can for a cordless model. Anyway, shoot the review bro. Be awesome to see what you think. Can not wait to have a clutch slip that I can trust. The old corded Milwaukee we use will pick u right up off the ground and twirl ur ass around a few times if ur not careful.

      @@wootexclusive8499 O ya dude I totally agree. Them classics will break your hand off. I am getting the TE 6-A22 (04) Rotary hammer drill here right away to review. Ill be pinning down heavy gauge steel to concrete but may run some more tests when the spring comes and I can build the Shop / studio. I decided to stay in the 22V line its perfect for what I need. Maybe one day I can review the 36V line. I don't know if your on my Discord but I just posted pics of the SF 6H-A22 I got today. ITs going to be a neat review because this job im doing with it is insane!! Cheers Man!!

      @@ConstructionKronies I'll check out the discord. I'm not up on that yet. My company has some 36v tools. They get seriously expensive. Cases can be a hundred bucks. But we only charge them maybe once a week with a whole crew running 2 or 3 all day. I would deff buy them if the need arises. The Gx gas gun, I'm not so crazy about. We had a job with really hard precast concrete job and they had about a 50/50 stick rate. Great in block and poured/patched concrete spots. But the hammerdrills are epic. Every trade on that job had atleast one. Cant wait to see the reviews. Not alot of ppl using hilti out here. Should be cool.

    • @ConstructionKronies
      @ConstructionKronies  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@wootexclusive8499 yes your correct, the gas guns are really only for tacking the steel in most of the time, some engineers are allowing pins only but even I still hammer drill everything in. My 5.2 amp batteries last a few days of continuous use so those 36 V sound incredible. My favorite fastening gun is the bx3 and in hard (old) concrete I like to pre drill the steel then hammer drill for pin bolts.

      Dave here from England......I have Milwaukee gen3 impact and the Hilti SID4. I go for the Hilti every time over my Milwaukee! In most of my work I use only PZ2 or 3 bits. The Milwaukee is just too powerful and the bits just spin out of the screws all the time. It's like my Milwaukee gen2 combi. Far too much torque for a drill with no safety clutch. No ATC like my Hilti!
