Great video! One extra tip I found... if you do want to search 1 way, do the first search, and then just change the origin/destination airport codes and the date in the URL string. Works VERY well!
Best award price for economy flights to Europe from the east coast. Currently 11,250 + ~$90 for many dates through end of March! That's like 3+ cents per point for economy. Also BoA AF-KLM MC currently has elevated 70K SUB for 2K spend. That's like spending $2K and getting $2K in flights for those willing to fly to Europe in economy.
Hey! I may have misspoke in the video. By adding a stop I meant adding a connecting flight for no additional miles. Instead of just going JFK to CDG you can go from JFK to BUD for no additional miles.
Sometimes adding a stop lowers the price in points! I was looking for flights to Prague, but figured stopping in Paris would be cheaper. Nope, to CDG was 80k and to PRG was 71k, both in business.
Love your content as always Max. Can you please do a video with having a stop over for a few days in another country. Perhaps, LAX-HKG-SIN-LAX. Thanks in advance.
Really good content. How does it work if you are traveling with an infant under 2 years old ? Do I have to call or I can add the kids information. Thank you
How do I add a connection? I'm trying to go to Rome and Venice from LAX in business class. I can do Lax to Rome then Venice or Lax to Venice then Rome. I dont care which order is first. The goal would be Lax to Rome to Venice one way return from Venice to LAX. ORRR Lax to Venice to Rome one way return from Rome to LAX. I dont exactly know how to look for this and/or do it. What do i do or what am I looking for to find this in business class. Thanks
So I tried to book on Air France without the travel date but it’s saying Sorry, there are no fares available for this date. Please try again. Do you have any suggestions to avoid this message and get to the calendar page?
Do you find you are able to find many domestic flights via flying blue? I travel more domestically than abroad and have had trouble finding availability.
@@lc5941 because you want to visit other cities other than Paris or Amsterdam. If you’re flying AF or KLM from the US and want to go to other cities in Europe other than Paris or Amsterdam you need a connecting flight
Hey Max, biggest fan! I am planning to surprise my wife a trip to Bali for her birthday on Feb. Can you please help me out how to maximize my points. Currently, have 500k MR points. Thank you in advance!
I can agree with this approach. ANA is a good option IF you can find award availability for Star Alliance airlines/partners (it's been really tough). The fastest way to get to SE Asia is taking the non-stop flight from LAX or SFO to Singapore and then finding a separate flight from SIN to Bali. Singapore Airlines does charge a lot for their flights but award availability is pretty decent. Singapore Airlines only releases premium award availability to Singapore members so search on Singapore Airlines' website. Amex points also transfers to Cathay Pacific Asia Miles. You can jump on Asia miles and see if you can find award availability from the U.S. to Hong Kong connecting into Bali.
The most frustrating airline website to use in my experience, the video is gold. Thanks so much
Glad it was helpful!

Good tip! pinning!
I'm sorry, could you explain this in more detail?
Thanks. The whole month calendar tip is helpful
Looks like my travel dates just became flexible with seeing the award calendar! Thanks for the tip🥂
You're welcome! Being flexible on travel dates can save you a ton of miles!
Commenting for the algorithm, hope your channel goes to the moon
Much appreciated! Thank you!!
Those are great tips! I have had all of those issues with the Air France website. It is really frustrating. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
I’ve learned several new tips today! Thank you.
Glad to hear it! Thanks for watching

OMG! Thank you for this! That wheel of death is so annoying and I never found a way to get around that. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
hahaha yeah the thing is super annoying. hope they fix it soon!
Nice video. I couldn’t find the option to add a stop though. Any insight on that? Thanks Max!

Hi Max. Could you explain more about the 25% discount of the kids tickets???
How do you tag on a different city to see the connection? I don't seem to see the option on the site

Can you get one of 5 mentioned credit cards as Dutch person / citizen? Yes? Which one lowest cost highest miles would you recommend?
I have been unable to search flights without putting in dates. Has this loophole been closed? Or is it my computer 🙃
Good tips I have 200k flying blue miles to burn :)
Burn them and go travel 🙌🏼
I thought I was the only one with the glitch! I was thinking that they were doing it to prevent people from finding all the award availability
So I tried to book on Air France without the travel date but it’s saying
Sorry, there are no fares available for this date. Please try again.
Do you have any suggestions to avoid this message and get to the calendar page?
Have you found that the award availability differs at all when you go through the Air France route or the KLM route?
I've found it has been the same, they both share the same award availability!
Do you find you are able to find many domestic flights via flying blue? I travel more domestically than abroad and have had trouble finding availability.
Did anyone happen to write down the five tips? They are not in the notes.
Anyone ever notice how high taxes and fees are at checkout? Trying to plan several trips but I’m kind of astonished with what shows up at checkout.
Do you have any tips on how I can see award calendar for Emirates or Qatar airlines?
Qatar itself doesn't have a calendar. Instead use AA's award calendar or Qantas. th-cam.com/video/dWW0c9IUz14/w-d-xo.html
When I leave the departure dates empty, I just get the “sorry, there are no fares available” error. Might just be because of my airport
That could be a possibility. Flying Blue works best for major cities operated by Air France, KLM, Virgin Atlantic and Delta
@@MaxMilesPoints yep seems like it, works fine from SEATAC
How do you add a connection flight?
instead of searching ORD to CDG
Search ORD to BUD (or whatever your final destination is!)
@@MaxMilesPoints but there's no way to add a 2nd stop, correct? if booking with points?
@@clericksen correct no way to add a section stop

Does not work to just leave the dates blank!!
I believe this no longer works. Can you confirm?
I’ve had issues pulling up the award calendar as of recent 🥲

Start with ANA - best for round trip pricing or Singapore Airlines - Always have great deals. Login and do a search.

I hate the AF and Flying Blue websites. Just broken!
