It looks more complicated than it is. The thing is, you can leave the more complicated Turk's Head knot out and just do the other simpler one. Thanks much for leaving a comment.
@@OzarkArtsandCrafts Mate we need more of us old lads to share our knowledge to the younger generation before our old skills are lost . I just ordered some cords and leather strips . See what you have done haha , Dennis as they say in Belfast " keep er lit"
I have not gone back in time to watch your whole catalogue so maybe you can point to a past post. How long do you let a green stick season before you start to work on it? Looking for ground floor info. TKS
Hardwoods like Oak, Maple, Cherry, to name a few, 1 or 2 year per inch of thickness. Softwoods like, Cedar or Pine may be 6-12 months. This all depends on conditions. You can do them before they dry completely. I have a book that will be available soon. It covers everything about making walking sticks. I have a video posting every Sunday and the book details will be announced very soon. Thanks for your comment and question.
I learn something new with all of your videos Dennis. Thanks
Glad to hear it! Thanks for commenting.
