Hardwoods like Oak, Maple, Cherry, to name a few, 1 or 2 year per inch of thickness. Softwoods like, Cedar or Pine may be 6-12 months. This all depends on conditions. You can do them before they dry completely. I have a book that will be available soon. It covers everything about making walking sticks. All my chrystals and spheres are made with resin that I mix and put into silicone molds.

Hey Brown dog! I can say From experience that I use USPS. The only reason is the cost. Most people will not pay what FedEx charges to ship a 5-ft tube or box. I shipped three sticks (Three separate packaging) FedEx ground and got charged over $150. That was before I knew what the cost was. Now US postal service ships it for $15. Sure, you may get it in 2 weeks but that's better than paying $50 or more. Ups is about in the middle. But it would also help if you had a Shopify store where you can get some discounts as well when shipping.

I use USPS exclusively because I get the best price. UPS is twice the price for the same package. I also use boxes I make from scrap refrigerator boxes that I get free from a local dealer.

It’s just an another walking stick. It’s not a fake walking stick! If I didn’t declare it a fake willow there would be a lot of backfire saying it is not a diamond willow. I guess you can’t please everyone. I thank you for your comment.

I try to base according to my average time spent on a project. So if X = average project time and Y = dollars per hour The formula is: X * Y = project price Good question I think I’ll post this in my community vlog.

Thanks for your comment, Mike. I never put tips on my sticks. The reason is: I make all my sticks plenty long so they may be cutoff to a length that suits the client. For one thing installing tips would create more costs to be passed on to the client. If I cut them to a certain length it limits who would want them. Doing it my way, my sticks are appropriate for any height person that likes a particular stick.
