The video has some of the most beautiful shots. Especially the sleeping lion under thunder and raining black sky. At the end. Pay your cameraman double.

Lions pick a territory usually by a waterhole and then they patiently wait for prey to come into their territory to hunt them and feed their family or pride! Its not being lazy it’s being smart ,it’s the best way to hunt without wasting tons of energy in the heat of the day roaming around aimlessly looking for prey. They also prefer to hunt at night which gives them an advantage with their eyesight since lions can see excellent at night.Females do a majority of the hunting but the males participate when hunting large prey.Male lions also have to hunt during the time period of after they have been kicked out of their pride as subadults til they can overtake another male lion or coalition of male lions pride.Male lions will hunt though but the females are better at the hunting since the male lions mane sticks out making him unable to ambush prey as good as the lionesses and the lionesses also stay in the same territory for generation after generation and they never leave the pride their entire lives so the lionesses know and understand their territory better then the male lions do!I forgot to mention that the male lions main job in the pride is to fight and protect his family and territory from hyenas and other male lion coalitions that might try and kill him and his cubs.Male lions will die trying to defend their pride and cubs but when they first take over a pride the male lion will kill all of the cubs under a year old that were the offspring of the male lion or coalition of male lions that they’ve taken the pride from. This will also put the lionesses in eustrus and the new dominant male lions can start making their own cubs with their own genes.
