the fact that killer bee basically killed sasuke 3 times during their fight speaks volumes if it wasn't for plot armor and karin's moaning heals series would be over faster

Honestly if kishimoto didnt make C0 no one would complain about Sasuke's plot armor in that fight it was a good foght on sasuke's part then kishimoto thought "alright both of them are exhausted im going to set off a nuke where sasuke is a few meters away and have him survive by summoning a heavily taxing summon, put that summon under snd gen jutsu then have sasuke jump in his mouth then having him reverse summon all in a half a second period" i honestly want to know what made him think this was a good way to end the fight
@@lucarioshipper4498 how is it "out of nowhere"? the sharingan and byakugan were always stated to have overlapping powers: "the eye of perception" as it's called. this "eye of perception" encompasses all the physical vision enhancements, including microscopic vision. it's completely believable that a sharingan user who's strong enough will be able to do that
It would have made more sense for Obito to save sasuke with kamui secretly while sasuke is put in a genjutsu by Obito so he doesn’t find out, then later reveal how sasuke was able to escape C0
One thing wrong with the Haku being “too kind” and that’s why he didn’t aim for vitals on Sasuke is that he was aiming at Naruto…on the ground. So Haku would have had to predicted Sasuke jumping in front of Naruto and aimed for that scenario to intentionally not hit any vitals on Sasuke.
Zabuza survived because Haku intentionally hit him in non-vital areas. And while Senbon seem less-lethal, he still hit Sasuke with like 15 of them. Just an observation that Haku couldn’t have intentionally aimed for non-vital areas on Sasuke, as he had no way of knowing where his “non-vitals” would be.
If you read the chapter, Haku didn’t redirect. If you watch the anime, Haku didn’t redirect. He might have been capable, but what he is capable of isn’t what is being discussed, it’s what he did. He did say he was going to use Naruto as bait, but once again the orientation of someone laying on the ground and someone running forward to stand in front of them are two totally different things. I’m not arguing what happened, just making an observation that it seems more “plot armory” the more you think about it.
7:23 here's the reason why itachi went so hard on him: • the author actually did intend for him to be the evil guy that killed his whole family • sasuke was kept alive so itachi could take his eyes when his own eyes become blind • sasuke is just the guy is supposed to take revenge on his evil brother • itachi wants sasuke to suffer and hate him so his eyes evolve quicker but itachi got really popular amongst the fans for some reason, so the author had to change the story to: • there was supposed to be a civil war • itachi is the good guy who prevented the civil war • itachi just wanted to protect his brother basically, the way the story was supposed to go changed multiple times when it was written due to popularity of certain characters here's some extra info about rock lee: if you think his character's potential got wasted, he was actually supposed to die in his fight against kimimaro, but he also suddenly got really popular, so the directors decided he had to stay alive, but the author didn't have anything planned for him for the rest of the story, so he didn't have any influence on the plot anymore
@@Glyceraldehyde Sure but after Pain Arc it basically becomes the Sasuke show and he drove most of the plot, Hidan and Kakazu arc, Pain arc and most of Gaara rescue wasn't really about him, Tenchi Bridge is about Naruto going after Sasuke, Itachi arc is about Sasuke, Five Kage Summit arc is about him again and War arc is almost entirely Uchiha focused( aside from the section in the beginning with Naruto training to control nine tails) and those three arcs are longer than the ones I mentioned earlier.
I feel some of the plot armor moments Sasuke has bent or breaks the established rules of the verse like Diedara's self-destruction (Sasuke has very little charka left before he saved himself) and Kabuto saving Sasuke (very convenient that Kabuto reformed just in time to find Sasuke). There are a lot of good and bad plot armor moments in this story.
@@raymondbermudez555 As a kid, watching the series was really fun. As an adult, you look back and know that the plot arnor really ruined everything. It was very rare that there was anything at stake. The whole shinobi villiage system was supposed to be so kids didnt have to die.....yet they fight ALL the time. The only real shinobi deaths we see (children) are Haku, Rin, Shisui, and Neji. All of which choose to die to help others. By the end of the series, even the people that choose to sacrifice their lives dont die.
@@noahblevins9569 my biggest issue was that they resurrected so many characters. They were forced to push aside their rollercoaster of living character. I think Naruto was fine even if he never physically got to meet his dad. Instead of a pseudo father relationship they could have focused more on Naruto x Hinata
My headcannon regarding the the 90% chance of the curse mark killing the host, is that Orochimaru specifically referred to the Cursed Seal of Heaven in that conversation (which Anko also survived), which is the strongest type of curse mark along the Seal of Earth, so Orochimaru only used it on his elite subordinates who had a higher chance of sustaining it
I don't think that's the case. The Cursed Seal's function is to allow someone to use Jugo's clan's biological version of imperfect Sage Mode. Considering how hard Sage Mode is to use and sustain, and the possibility of being genetically compatible with Jugo and Orochimaru being a psycho. There being hundreds of Cursed Seal users therefore meaning there were thousands of fatal failures is perfectly reasonable. For crying out loud, he killed 59 babies to get one Yamato. He's a mad scientist, of course he's going for the largest sample size possible.
There is no way it's a random chance, at least not for the stronger people he marks. The 90% who die are clearly weaker on average and the 10% stronger. With Sasuke being Sasuke, of course he survives. He is strong and he is a Uchiha on top of that. Plus Sasuke was Orochimaru's ultimate prize. He know full well Sasuke would live or he wouldn't have killed his next vessel like an idiot.
@@Alternative_Alba Cloning would have been smart, but clearly he thought a back up plan was not needed. Orochimaru is far too arrogant for his own good. This arrogance led to his defeat at Itachi’s hands twice, losing his arms to the 3rd Hokage, getting clobbered by Tsunade, as well as losing to Sasuke. He underestimates his opponents and fights battles he cannot win, at least not without some prep time advantage. I think with Sasuke the situation is more complex though. He was seemingly making Sasuke stronger so that the body would be strong and sharingan matured when he stole the body. Sasuke’s hatred was useful to develop the sharingan faster than Orochimaru might have done. What he wants to avoid is taking Sasuke while he is like Chunin or low Jonin level and getting taken out by the akatsuki or leaf. Or, maybe he just knew that if he didn’t train Sasuke then Sasuke would never stay with him for those 3 years. IMO Sasuke might even elect to kill himself rather than allow Orochimaru to take his body, which would ruin his plans. Sasuke said he considered it, but I think he clearly never had any intention of letting Orochimaru have his body with how earlier he talks about how it HAS to be him that gets the revenge and nobody else. He was just lying to Naruto and Orochimaru. So in retrospect… yeah I guess cloning Sasuke would have been the best method. Maybe that’s why Shin existed in Boruto, it could have been intended as his host. Then he prob should have just killed Sasuke while he was strong.
@@DiamonDust I doubt Orochimaru could have killed Sasuke. Remember how much Sasuke has survived from almost dying in Shippuden. It’s crazy, how he could survive all of that.
Sasuke's life in a nutshell: "Sasuke is so cool!" "Oh no Sasuke left the village!" "Sasuke became a villain!" "Ayye Sasuke's back!" "Sasuke wtf bro!" "Good to have you back Sasuke!" Then you have the fact that Sasuke basically killed or tried to kill everyone that helped him, even from death. "Sasuke we're here to help!" "I don't give a sh*t, die!!"
He literally died in these scenarios 1. Against Haku 2. Deidaras nuke 3.killer bee hole in chest(died 4 times in a single battle) 4.madaras selfie stick 5. Kaguya
Even the C4 Karura was a stretch as one thing is being able to see chakra and another being able to see at microscopic level chakra spots, something quite impossible unless you have a byakugan. So for only once in the entire series, the sharingan stole another doujutsu's skill to save him. It would have made much more sense that he was not able to see it but because all of Deidara's jutsus were earth style based that maybe was so small he could not see it and protecting himself with that.
My headcannon on the Itachi fight is that he knew he was being watched by Zetsu so he had to make it look very convincing. Similar to the earlier time when he was with Kisame when beating up younger Sasuke
@@TimXMan1000nahh itachi didn’t put the flames out, it’s not one of his abilities. mangekyo sharingan users always come equipped with 1 unique ability per eye. for itachi it was his special grade genjutsu (what he put kakashi and sasuke under) and amateratsu. for sasuke it was amateratsu and flame control (shifting or reshaping his amateratsu as well as being able to get rid of it when necessary) and obito and kakashi with their personal kamui as well as long range kamui, so on and so forth. you can tell itachi has no control over dismissing amateratsu because in later scenes when the fight is over you can still see the entire background/environment of the fight is still incased in black fames since they never went out.

Can we talk about Naruto’s often overlooked plot armor though? In almost every big fight Naruto is saved by a convenient 9 tails amp, a convenient mental amp, or a super convenient seal implanted by Minato or something.
He’s literally the jinchuriki of the most powerful Biju. Gara had an entire auto sand defense, but you don’t complain about that being plot armour? but naruto getting a few specks of red chakra is just too far -_-
Itachi sparing Sasuke's life was an obvious hint that there was something wrong with the massacre and that Itachi had not done it on a whim in the Valley of the End flashback, the dialogues make this clear
You forgot the icing on the cake 🫢 it was confirmed by the creator that sasuke was originally supposed to die against haku, but the creator realized that naruto needed a legit vegeta like rival which is why he chose to let sasuke live instead 😂 it doesn’t get more plot armor than that
That would greatly change the universe. Orochimaru would probably target Naruto instead and Itachi would've joined Akatsuki for nothing. On the bright side, Sasuke would still have his dignity intact instead of being clowned hard on Boruto right now.
Crazy how at some point he actually died and plot armor was like "yeah nah, he is the re-incarnation of an ancient alien god so wake him up with new god-tier eyes and jutsu"
Some of these aren’t plot armor though. Ones where he gets saved by his allies or there was never any intent to kill him such as when he fought Itachi or Orochimaru are not plot armor. Surviving particle style or other moments where there should have been no way he survives are absolutely plot armor.
I would argue that him being saved from the "particle style" is no different from the saves during the Killer Bee fight. Someone who wanted him alive saved him. That's just him being saved by allies again. Yeah, that particular "ally" had a very broken technique, which allowed him to save Sasuke, and his motives were suspect, but he didn't do anything Karen wouldn't have done if she had the same broken technique. Most of these examples are "saves" by characters who wanted Sasuke to survive, even the Kabuto example toward the end. Sasuke using Manda to survive Deidara, on the other hand? That's either plot armor or just an excuse to show that Sasuke is so evil he'll sacrifice a summon, and such a Shikamaru-level-genius that he thought he might have to use Manda and gave a scroll and a vial of his blood to Suigetsu so he could be "brought back" afterward. That bit of nonsense was painful.
A shame the intelligence couldn't last throughout both your comments. "There's no way he should have survived an attack that an ally who wanted him alive, set him to go against, & was watching the entire time, could save him from." "Sasuke's evil for sacrificing a man eating snake as a last resort, and it's weird that during years of training he crafted a clever escape plan while planning to face one of the strongest shinobi in history."
@@arimina5353 I have a doubt about Sasuke vs deidara fight. Deidara said that lightning is his weakness. Sasuke has strongest lightning justsu " Kirin " It doesn't takes chakra of user. He can kill deidara when they both were exhausted. Why he didn't used that?? it's because of plot that deidara survived that fight
@@YadneshChopde-xs6hf What? Deidara didn't survive, he blew himself up. You meant to say Sasuke? That's the controversial part, but just because it's unpredictable. When you analyze what Sasuke did and how he survived, it makes perfect sense. Sasuke didn't really want to kill Deidara. Up until the end he was trying to get info on Itachi out of him. The fact that Sasuke wasn't taking Deidara seriously was one of the reasons he was pushed to the point of using C0. Although Kirin doesn't require chakra to launch, that only is the case if there are thunder clouds around, because then Sasuke can manipulate the natural lightning. And if the whether is clear, he needs to spam fire jutsu to create a storm first. He probably can use Kirin with no set up, but then he would have to use his own chakra. And then again, Kirin was his secret weapon meant to kill Itachi, and it would certainly obliterate Deidara. But Sasuke wanted to extract information from him. If you read the fight, you can see Sasuke had the control the entire time. So in summary Deidara wasn't strong enough to push Sasuke to use Kirin.
@@giannixx but in first episode of shippuden, Sasuke was going to use kirin and at that time wheather was clear. Right. People always says that deidara can easily destroy Sasuke and he won because of plot but they can't understand that Sasuke hold back in that fight
I believe you raised an interesting point when you said that Sasukes Battle IQ fluctuates, buit I don't think it's because of plot or bad writing. A significant portion of Sasukes IQ decrease goes hand in hand with his mental health. While Sasuke always had the tendency to become reckless if he got too worked up, this got amped up to 11 right after he found out that Itachi sacrificed himself for the leaf. In the following fights he both abandons his principles and downright throws himself into unwinnable situations. He can still somewhat improvise on the spot but has little overarching strategy to speak of. He only starts regaining some finesse in the later fights when Edo Itachi gets through to him and he starts chilling out.
I think this is somewhat true, although strangely enough facing the people he hated most like Itachi and Danzo his battle IQ was some of the highest it had ever been. So I guess as his mental deteriorates his battle IQ goes down for "normal fights", but if he is facing someone who is the target of his revenge he seems to lock in completely and use every brain cell to ensure his victory. Idk if that is coincidence or on purpose writing wise. It def felt like Killer Bee fight lacked basically any actual strategy, he just tried to brute force it with his team. To be fair that "worked", but just barely. Plus if Bee had been serious he could have just come back to finish them off, so you could argue they still lost. What do you do vs Bee though? It's just raw power and most battle IQ tactics get blown away, but maybe I am just not creative enough to think of many.
@@quelqunx7470 It was his mission, and there is no way he could have anticipated how absurdly strong Bee was. Unless he did some research and recon, but like I said he just didn’t give AF and thought he could brute force it. He has been on a big win streak since time skip.
I love Sasuke's symbolic representation of "taka" he adopts after deleting Orochimaru from his body and mind. It is a great metaphor to his relationship with Orochimaru as the snake he is both in character and literally. Orochimaru is power hungry and greedy for himself. Sasuke on the other hand although his actions appear selfish, he is power hungry and greedy for revenge. As twisted as he became he did everything for firstly the Uchicha clan (against Itachi) and eventually for Itachi (against the Leaf). This is how he was destined for conflict with Naruto he lived his life for the Leaf.
I only picked up Naruto with Shipuuden and stopped watching it after the Sasuke vs Deidara fight because Sasuke was getting too annoying. (Plus Deidara was probably my favorite character and i felt like Sasuke did him dirty and cheated.)
Yeah and it gets much worse. The show could've been good if it just let him fucking die. He was a horrible character that the author never knew what to do with yet insisted on focusing on him over the entire cast of infinitely more interesting and endearing characters. Great way to trash an entire good universe
Thank you Dygo for making so many videos and still maintaining this high quality. I can't stand click baits and panderers. You sir might be the best Naruto content creater now (including Borito 😅😅)
Half of these aren’t even really plot armor as much as they are bad writing The biggest plot armor is with Deidara and Danzo, arguably also when Kabuto shows up to prevent Sasuke from outright dying despite missing a heart
Think of it this way... the show Naruto is basically all about a prophecy. Even if not outright stated, Sasuke is part of that prophecy, because he was needed for Naruto to bring peace to Earth. He was never meant to die all those times he almost did, because he was meant to make Naruto as strong as he got. If Sasuke had died, Naruto may have just given up on everything. I'm sure he would have still been a strong shinobi, but Kaguya wouldn't have been defeated, and Naruto wouldn't have the drive to become as strong as he did.
The vital poins explanation from Haku makes no sense. He was aiming to avoid Naruto's vital points, but then Sasuke jumped in front of the needles, intercepting them with random points in his body.
Biggest plot armor - Naruto uses Bijubomb Rasengan which clashes with Sasuke's normal Susanoo Chidori while Naruto was being massively boosted by Six-Paths Sage Mode and still tied. Rinnegan doesn't provide any boosts like that, so that was literally plot armor as Biju-bomb >>>> Chidori. And yes, it was a normal chidori on Susano's arm, not some special chidori.
Absolutely loved Naruto as a series but the ending obliterated everything in my book. Sasuke definitely, definitely, *definitely* should've died in the final battle. I loved how he even after the war was won, he would still betray Naruto and everyone else, absolutely priming his supposed death by Naruto's hand, but not only does he survive, he's PARDONED by the village after everything bad he did!!!!!!!!!!
Same with Orichimaru, He experimented/killed on thousands of babies/kids. Killed the 3rd Hokage etc... He might have been vital to saving Sasuke during the war and thus saving the world but he should have at least just been exiled from the Leaf. -.-
12:44 that’s cap 🧢 Itachi literally put the flames out and that stopped Sasuke from dying Zetsu says Itachi put the flames out so he can get sasuke’s eyes
Touching on the subject brought up quite a few times in this video about Itachi almost going too far and possibly killing Sasuke. I think in respect to Itachi's absolute genius battle IQ as a shinobi; Him pushing Sasuke to these limits putting his little brother in mortal danger. I think this is a sentiment of Itachis absolute unyielding faith in Sasuke; predicting and banking on the fact Sasuke would go on to be a even stronger Shinobi than himself. Aiding his ultimate objective of protecting his little brother by preparing him for the worst of threats to surely come his way being the lone survivor of the Uchiha. Essentially putting a massive target on his back; Teaching Sasuke to always expect those sneaky , devastating low blow. Teaching him also to strike first and hard going for the killing blow because so many Ninjas have some pretty crafty and deadly jutsus, as well as kekkei; genkai that if given the chance to be executed; can put you down or out of the fight in a instant. Always expect the unexpected, and if Sasuke can outclass and outwit the likes of Itachi; one of the strongest Shinobi to ever live. Then he has a true fighting chance to stay alive and survive; even if hes alone as a rogue ninja... To that i say " well played Itachi... Well played"
7:10 think this was another case of never really intending Itachi to secretly be good as not just that but he was literally there to kidnap Naruto so that the Akatsuki can obtain the Ninetails and there was nothing stopping them besides Jiraiya. 13:09 and this can just be even further evidence? There is nothing to suggest that the use of Amaterasu in this scene was in order to be a killing blow as it seems Itachi is quite surprised that Sasuke used his Substitution Jutsu here to escape it... All this leads to the fact that Itachi was originally written not to care about Sasuke and did not fully intend for Sasuke to gain Mangekyou especially when Itachi was trying to optain Sasuke's eyes... Like it seems more appealing that Sasuke was fighting on par and eventually Itachi is killed all while not having Mangekyou Sharingan, not requiring to go through with the sacrifice needed to unlock Mangekyou. But obviously the writing changed, Sasuke gets Mangekyou by random means and he loses the curse mark cus its no longer cool I guess?
@@jasonmoukala8909 Nah, he's right bro. Killer Bee killed Sasuke 2 times in one fight, then almost killed him with the hyper beam that Sugetsu got destroyed by
my newest hot take: "kage level" shouldn't be a thing. atleast not a way of measuring power level. when gaara became kage at age 15 he wasn't as powerful as your normal adult, experienced kage. still very powerful but not as a tsunade or A for example. and then there is guy who is stronger than most kage, even proven to be stronger than all of the active ones when he fought madara. all while being a jonin... so yeah, the term "kage level" is at best inaccurate and at worst misleading
It would be much easier to accept Haku not aiming for vital spots to avoid killing Sasuke if Sasuke didn't look like he was wearing a spiky dog collar by the end. Seriously, why target THE NECK so much of all places if you're trying to just knock him out. That's arguably the most lethal place you can stick a needle into someone besides through the eye into the brian. Anime logic I know but I feel like this scene would be much more believable and still dramatic if he stuck to arms/legs/chest area with his needles. You can't even argue that while stuck in his body the needles prevent bleeding while you can clearly see him losing quite a lot of blood from his injuries. Also the curse mark having 90% lethality rate is essentially 0% lethality rate, let's be real. Anime logic again, if the chance for one of main characters to survive is as small as 0.001% it's essentially guaranteed to happen. I mean, even for side character Rock Lee - did anyone and i mean ANYONE believe even for a second that he wasn't going to survive the 50% chance of operation success by Tsunade? side tangent : the operation should've ended with Rock Lee dying because 1. Rock Lee was wasted as a character anyway with Guy taking his spot, Kishimoto wanted him die in part 1 for a reason, he didn't really know what to do with him further down the line. He already won the hearts of most readers and has proven he became a great ninja with sheer hard work without any support demon inside him. His arc felt finished in part 1 2. It would make the story much more tense going forward because if we were told there is a % chance of character surviving X situation we would be aware that they could really DIE (unless it was Naruto for obvious reasons)
The creator of the vid addressed this, but I'm bored and want to emphasize that Haku is a legend with his needles. He knows where to aim to make a person appear dead. Kakashi thought Zabusa was dead. Kakashi! If Haku knew what part of the neck to hit to make someone like Kakashi say that person is dead, then he could have hit Sasuke there in order to "kill" him in Naruto's eyes. The big question here is - was Haku aiming for Naruto or did he know Sasuke would protect Naruto? I think it's clear that Haku expected Sasuke to protect Naruto, so Haku was aiming for a body that would be standing between him and Naruto. It's still pretty "plot armor" for Haku to have predicted where and how Sasuke would be standing once he got between Haku and Naruto. If Sasuke had bent his knees when he landed between them, some of those needles would have went into his head and not his neck. So, yeah, that's a "plot armor" moment for me. Good thing Sasuke didn't bend his knees or he'd have lost an eye at the very least and the rest of the series might have turned out very differently.
That wasn't random. After scheming to become Hokage and reform the shinobi world he now had the opportunity to gain control of an allied shinobi force between the top 5 villages. He wasn't going to let this opportunity go to waste so he controlled Mifune to gain leadership.
Obito likely chose this moment to attack Danzo deliberately. Keep in mind that Obito knew about Kotoamatsukami and how it worked, and his entire motive for manipulating Sasuke into attacking him was so he could steal Shisuis Sharingan back from Danzo. There's a reason Zetsu waited until JUST after Danzo was found out to disrupt the Summit meeting.
That’s a glorious thumbnail it sums up my thoughts when Sasuke, gets on my nerves, also it’s funny you said he deserved every win, but claim he has crazy plot armor.
13:57 ah ah, don’t go giving that boy any credit he dosent deserve. Killer B got tired of working Sasuke in a 3v1 and he DECIDED to let Sasuke THINK he got him, left behind a tail clone, and used the opportunity of his presumed death to leave the village and go rap with his Tanooki friend. Never forget Sasuke got his ass absolutely beat by Killer B and never had a chance of winning, even when he teamed.
I mean, Sasuke survived, that is a victory in of itself, regardless of how much plot armor may have been needed for it to happen. But his goal in the fight was to capture Killer B, which he failed to do. And Obito even called him out on it, it’s the reason (at least the reason Obito gave) as to why he sent Sasuke to the 5 Kage summit, to make up for his abject failure. Sasuke was dead to rights twice, left no lasting damage on his target, even with teammates, failed in his stated mission, and all he got out of it was more damage to his sharingan. But, just to balance out the Sasuke hate, I will say he did absolutely earn his victories against Deidara and Donzo, he sauced those two like crazy. Great IQ, great plays, great use of genjutsu, which is already highly underused by anyone without the name Uchiha. The whole “2 seconds at most summoning, genjutsu, reverse summoning thing in the middle of a multi kilometer wide explosion” thing does still leave a bit bad taste in my mouth, but actually your video on it did change my mind a bit about the situation.
There’s actually a logical explanation given for EVERY single time sasuke survived a close call. He’s never had anything crazy happen like his dead parents souls returning from the after life to help him defeat someone. Plot armor isn’t simply wanting a character to die, and they don’t. It’s the writer going to extremes, and flat out BREAKING rules within the story to keep a character alive. This has NEVER happened once with sasuke. Fans just hate the fact that he doesn’t die so they whine plot armor but there really is none.
Except the Deidara fight. Sasuke gave a summoning scroll for a creature Sasuke had never summoned himself, and a vial of his blood, to Suigetsu just in case he had to summon Manda in order to escape a deadly situation and was then unable to summon himself back to the "find Itachi" part of the world. There is no way Sasuke would have done that unless he read the script in advance. Devil's advocate: Unless Sasuke predicted he might end up losing in a fight with a non-Itachi Akatsuki member and need a quick escape method. Winning against them wouldn't matter, while surviving to fight Itachi would. So that would make sense, for Sasuke to have set up a "if I face someone I can't beat, I'll use Manda to escape and you can bring me back, Suigetsu" plan. But it still feels cheap and along the lines of Minato and Kushina leaving bits of their soul in Naruto so they can save him someday.
@@SamuelQuaye-zs4uc yeah but his soul had nothing to do with saving sasuke. It was kabuto who healed sasuke using enhanced hashirama cells that’s also how i’d like to believe sasuke awakened his rinnegan. It seemed as if all hagaromo gave Naruto and sasuke was the seal on their hands he says nothing about additional power. But yeah you’d totally be right if hagaromo just popped up, healed sasuke, and gave him a new rinnegan. But that’s how people who watched Naruto from reels think it happened lol.
And lets not mention that the fact that he could see chakra at microscopic level, something that only a Byakugan could do, basically Sasuke was saved there by plot armor against Deidara, because never was stated that the sharingan could do something like that. It would have made much sense that Sasuke just reached the conclusion that it was something based with earth style so protecting himself with lighting style would have done the trick but dude starts loooking at his own cells, something that the sharingan never ever did again. And saying that Kakashi was able to see through the rasen shuriken its just that at normal speed of the human eye, no one could tell what was happening but seeing it in slow motion is totally different. Sasuke pulled an impossible move by what the basic sharingan was able to do and survided. If that aint plot armor, i really dont know what was it then.
How exactly was Haku not aiming for vital points when he was initially aiming at Naruto ? 😂 Did he predict that Sasuke would protect him and place his body in that exact spot? Haku is sus bro
Thank you for making a great video! I really enjoyed it. It's fun to argue about what "plot armor" really means, but it's also fun to see just how close a character gets to "dying" in an anime. Sasuke got close a lot. I do think he's the Vegeta of the Naruto series, but I like him better because he doesn't get reduced to "crying on his knees" as often as Vegeta did. I firmly believe the "plot" kept Sasuke alive as a motivator for the main character. But it was nicely done. Each time Sasuke was saved, it was used as a chance to show how great the person "saving him" was. Even poor abused Sakura got a chance to shine when she stood against half-demon Gaara with just a Kunai. But then there's the Deidara fight "save." I want the creator to tell me how he rationalized that. Why did Sasuke give a vial of his blood to Suigetsu? Sasuke wasn't planning to fight anyone but Itachi. Why - for what in-character reason - would Sasuke have forseen a situation that made him give that vial and scroll to Suigetsu just in case he ended up in a fight where he needed to use Manda in order to run away from the fight? That was a bad plot point. Nonsense, and embarrassing. I will die on this hill.
>Vegeta of the series Yes, in being undefeated against the rival main character. >Why would he have an escape plan after years of planning to face one of the strongest shinobi in history Because he's not dumb. >Wasn't planning on facing anyone from the group of S-Class shinobi Itachi was in When Kisame told the others to stay back, Sasuke said he only formed a team to handle anyone who may get in his way.
The hidden leaf was stupid for picking itachi because he had a personal connection to his brother and his clan. If they picked someone with no connection to them then all of them would have died. This video made me realize that.
The entire massacre was stupid. They didn't had to kill all Uchihas. They aren't all ninjas because society wouldn't work like that you need people that do normal jobs. Sasukes mom was just a housewife, obitos grandmother was also just a old lady. There where probably even more kids, elderly and normal people among the Uchihas. They even knew that they plotted a coup so they where prepared to take action. Just arrest all Warriors/ Ninjas from the Uchiha. Interegate and find out who was part of the coup plan. Then imprison them or sentence them to death. They wouldn't know and couldn't prepare. And they couldn't overpower the village they didn't have the numbers to do that. After that they could put the rest of the Uchihas under constant surveillance and take away all their rights to become ninjas. Maby even enslave them so that there will never be a threat again.
@@fbiguy5269They definitely had the power to kill most of the village, and a majority were about to do it. Anyone who survived the Uchiha massacre would harbor hatred for the Leaf and plot revenge, especially with the Curse of Hatred running through their veins that turns Uchiha into homicidal maniacs. Sasuke is a prime example of that. He was left alive and turned on the Leaf before deciding to destroy it. You can't tell who has the Curse and who doesn't, so they all had to be stopped. Itachi doing it just made it so Sasuke wouldn't blame the village for his clan's arrogance. Also, Obito was there with Itachi, killing them all in their sleep. Keeping them locked up simply creates the risk of them getting out and wreaking havoc. Danzō wasn't wrong in this situation.
I love how Sasuke walked around like he was sincerely the Baddest Ninja on two legs only to get slapped up and put in his place. Sasuke never wins a fight without plot magic.

About Manda, I'm not so sure. But, about Kurama, I can answer why: See, Kurama is a kitsune (Japanese word for fox). And in Japanese folklore, it's stated that kitsunes have special powers. One of those abilities is shape-shifting. The form that kitsunes usually take, is the form of a beautiful lady. Therefore, if Kurama was a Japanese folkloric creature, he certainly would be able to shapeshift into a woman. (Hell, when Naruto and Kushina first met, he said that she (Kushina) might be Kurama's true form (until she suckerpunched him in the head saying she's not), poking at this detail.)
Nah sasuke got even MORE busted after the first arc. He went from getting bullied by Haku to fighting all of the kage at the same time, how is that a nerf?
Sasuke had to have been talented or he would've died several times, other instances his friends in Taka were there save him in his teenage years though he did not appreciate them at the time. The way Sasuke handled Deidara mirrored how Naruto handled Kakazu, these were tests where they showed off that they were the future.
Funny how the Uchiha problem was actually pretty easy to solve. Fugaku: Hey, Hiruzen. We want one of our veterans to be part of the Elder Council as well, and we CAN have that because we found this shit with the Senju. Hiruzen: Alright, shouldn't we... Fugaku: It's that or we are out of the village and joining another village, it might even be the Cloud if they give us an oportunity (If the Raikage had the Uchiha under his command, being the most war driven village, they would certanly give a lot of trouble), make your choice. You give us every right we deserve or you make an enemy here, we ain't asking for the throne goddamnit. Hiruzen: Okay, I'm doing it. Just chill... Hiashi: We also want that, also... We think you guys should deal with those assholes who tried to steal Hinata. No way I'm giving them my eyes, they broke treaty, we should raid that shit. Hiruzen: You're right, we can't look weak in times like these... Jiraiya: Back, bitches. Hey, you ain't taking care of the kid right, I'm taking Naruto with me. Fuck you!

Senbon are also notoriously non-lethal hence the suspicion of zabuza surviving
Zabuza survived because Haku intentionally hit him in non-vital areas. And while Senbon seem less-lethal, he still hit Sasuke with like 15 of them.
Just an observation that Haku couldn’t have intentionally aimed for non-vital areas on Sasuke, as he had no way of knowing where his “non-vitals” would be.
Yes he not villain
Haku is of that genius level. He can redirect. Whose to say Haku can’t see Sasuke coming?
If you read the chapter, Haku didn’t redirect. If you watch the anime, Haku didn’t redirect.
He might have been capable, but what he is capable of isn’t what is being discussed, it’s what he did.
He did say he was going to use Naruto as bait, but once again the orientation of someone laying on the ground and someone running forward to stand in front of them are two totally different things.
I’m not arguing what happened, just making an observation that it seems more “plot armory” the more you think about it.

7:23 here's the reason why itachi went so hard on him:
• the author actually did intend for him to be the evil guy that killed his whole family
• sasuke was kept alive so itachi could take his eyes when his own eyes become blind
• sasuke is just the guy is supposed to take revenge on his evil brother
• itachi wants sasuke to suffer and hate him so his eyes evolve quicker
but itachi got really popular amongst the fans for some reason, so the author had to change the story to:
• there was supposed to be a civil war
• itachi is the good guy who prevented the civil war
• itachi just wanted to protect his brother
basically, the way the story was supposed to go changed multiple times when it was written due to popularity of certain characters
here's some extra info about rock lee:
if you think his character's potential got wasted, he was actually supposed to die in his fight against kimimaro, but he also suddenly got really popular, so the directors decided he had to stay alive, but the author didn't have anything planned for him for the rest of the story, so he didn't have any influence on the plot anymore
Sasuke having plot armor fits that he was the protagonist when the story focused more around him
It should have been called Sasuke Shipudden.

@@DiamonDust
I am surprised Orichimaru didn’t attempt to clone Sasuke.
It would have given him a better chance. He had 3 years of time to do so.

So for only once in the entire series, the sharingan stole another doujutsu's skill to save him.
"There's no way he should have survived an attack that an ally who wanted him alive, set him to go against, & was watching the entire time, could save him from."
"Sasuke's evil for sacrificing a man eating snake as a last resort, and it's weird that during years of training he crafted a clever escape plan while planning to face one of the strongest shinobi in history."

"Almost died"
This is Shonen, no one under the age of 30 can die. Everyone gets 19 layers of plot armor, and 12 respawns.
Neji died at 17, Itachi died at 21, Deidara died at 19, the sound 4 died at 14, Kimimaro died at 15, I could go on

Sasuke being killed by bee is the equivalent of fighting that secret boss and using all the revives you got just to beat him.

my newest hot take: "kage level" shouldn't be a thing. atleast not a way of measuring power level. when gaara became kage at age 15 he wasn't as powerful as your normal adult, experienced kage. still very powerful but not as a tsunade or A for example.
and then there is guy who is stronger than most kage, even proven to be stronger than all of the active ones when he fought madara. all while being a jonin... so yeah, the term "kage level" is at best inaccurate and at worst misleading
True
Power levels changed so the titles are inaccurate and mean nothing
what a great and entertaining video
I mean, even for side character Rock Lee - did anyone and i mean ANYONE believe even for a second that he wasn't going to survive the 50% chance of operation success by Tsunade? side tangent : the operation should've ended with Rock Lee dying because
1. His arc felt finished in part 1
2. It would make the story much more tense going forward because if we were told there is a % chance of character surviving X situation we would be aware that they could really DIE
(unless it was Naruto for obvious reasons)
Haku hit zabuza on the neck too, needles are weapons designed not to kill
Good thing Sasuke didn't bend his knees or he'd have lost an eye at the very least and the rest of the series might have turned out very differently.
gonna be honest, i think sasuke has more plot armor than naruto does.
He’s got more plot armor than Batman.
Batman can actually win a fight and uses Ninja moves. Sasuke just talks shite before getting hit.
@Infamous1892 "can fight and use ninja moves" I mean in that sense he's worse than sasuke but he's very smart and has tevh
Batman has no plot armor
Great video! Feel like one important one missing here is when Sasuke almost died to Rocklee's Primary Lotus. There was no way he was surviving that.
Also the fact that danzo used the most powerful genjutsu on some random dudes, just before his conflict with Sasuke
Thanks for the video.
You bet
yes he has plot armor but at least its back up by the plot by being indras reincarnate..for me sakura has the bull plot armor and is random...
One reason every 1.028735517241379 minutes.
Why did I waste my time figuring this out...
That’s a glorious thumbnail it sums up my thoughts when Sasuke, gets on my nerves, also it’s funny you said he deserved every win, but claim he has crazy plot armor.
Let's be honest, Suigetsu should have died to a POINT BLACK BIJUDAMA from the second strongest Tailed Beast in existence
Suibasetsu
This is almost one death per minute, so perfectly organized
Although being an asshole in the entire story, he always have someone to save his life for some reason.
Doesn't really matter because Sasuke won the fight
The whole “2 seconds at most summoning, genjutsu, reverse summoning thing in the middle of a multi kilometer wide explosion” thing does still leave a bit bad taste in my mouth, but actually your video on it did change my mind a bit about the situation.
and Bee came right out of training

No matter which criteria you use to rank the kages, Hiruzen is dead last lmao

Where do i get this colourfull scans?
There’s actually a logical explanation given for EVERY single time sasuke survived a close call. He’s never had anything crazy happen like his dead parents souls returning from the after life to help him defeat someone. Plot armor isn’t simply wanting a character to die, and they don’t. It’s the writer going to extremes, and flat out BREAKING rules within the story to keep a character alive. This has NEVER happened once with sasuke. Fans just hate the fact that he doesn’t die so they whine plot armor but there really is none.
I agree
@@arimina5353this is such a terrible take
No dead parents souls but dead Hamogoro's soul showed up
@@SamuelQuaye-zs4uc yeah but his soul had nothing to do with saving sasuke.
But that’s how people who watched Naruto from reels think it happened lol.
that 24hour oof sasuke was given was definitely made before the idea of Itachi being a good guy was even thought of.
I feel like for most of these sasuke shouldn't have died
And look at the way those needles are in his wrist and neck those are definitely vital spots 😂

>Vegeta of the series
Yes, in being undefeated against the rival main character.
>Why would he have an escape plan after years of planning to face one of the strongest shinobi in history
Because he's not dumb.
>Wasn't planning on facing anyone from the group of S-Class shinobi Itachi was in
When Kisame told the others to stay back, Sasuke said he only formed a team to handle anyone who may get in his way.
Unlike Vegeta. Sasuke actually beat people
The hidden leaf was stupid for picking itachi because he had a personal connection to his brother and his clan.
@@fbiguy5269 genocide never solves anything but people try it anyways because they never read a history book in their life.
@@supermariomaker1734 I literally wrote a solution how to not commit genocide on the uchiha.
Anyone else wouldn't have had the loyalty nor the power to eradicate the entire Uchiha clan. Itachi was the only option they had.

What does dygoknight think that manda and the ninetails are female?
About Manda, I'm not so sure.
But, about Kurama, I can answer why:
See, Kurama is a kitsune (Japanese word for fox).
Sasuke Is like Vegeta, a clown that was cool in like the first arc and after that just got humiliated every time after that.
Lmao nope
Nah sasuke got even MORE busted after the first arc. He went from getting bullied by Haku to fighting all of the kage at the same time, how is that a nerf?
Sasuke had to have been talented or he would've died several times, other instances his friends in Taka were there save him in his teenage years though he did not appreciate them at the time.
The way Sasuke handled Deidara mirrored how Naruto handled Kakazu, these were tests where they showed off that they were the future.
