Thanks man, this video helped me a lot, I was having trouble playing with meta decks, so when I opened shenshen it was easy to think about the virtual world, I ended up using your list and I had a lot of success in the rank climb. thank you again.
The replay being slightly sped up was hard to keep up with as a new player learning this deck but thank you for the guide nonetheless. Trying to learn what combos before I start ranked climb.
Hey man, great video! I've played virtual world for a bit and absolutely love it! the flexibility of this deck is awesome! watching your videos are even more so as it shows me more efficient/optimized options I have with my card that I've missed tryna rush out shenshen or other monsters
I can tell you have a lot of enthusiasm man, and you have a lot of potential, but most of the video your just describing what's happening on screen stream of consciousness. I know there's a temptation to just get the videos out there as soon as possible, but there's no harm in slowing down a bit and maybe scripting out the content just a little bit so your ideas and explanation gets across a little more clearly. No hate just friendly critiques.
Yeah I have to agree with this sentiment. I think this might be more useful for someone who’s already been playing this deck a bit. There’s an influx of new player right now that might benefit more from a slower breakdown of the decks mechanics.
@@mojolito I'm still trying to find a video where someone explains every virtual world card slowly and what you should be summoning/sending but every 'how to play virtual world' video explains it at x4 speed and assumes you know your shit
Thanks for the video. Gives some great insight as to what I should do when playing this deck. Quick question how do I deal with board wipers like raigeki or lightning storm after my first turn combo?
Monster board wipes aren't incredibly common but they are tough for this deck, or at least the board I usually end on. Really you have to hope your other cards are good enough to allow you not to die, chuche, hand traps, set droplet, stuff like that
Just started Master Duel and just switched from an invoked dogmatika deck to virtual world. Still trying to figure out how to use it and these videos are the best! Keep ‘em up.
Thanks bro really needed that was wondering how to properly play it.. was only confusing myself and now I finally say an m7 combo which I was curious about still need to get him though
I just built VW with 3 each of the 6 Monsters, 2 spells and 1 trap. 3 Etele. 1 Reborn. 1 Calle by. 3 Imperms. 2 Ash(I only have 2). 2 ghost Ogre. ED- 2 Jaja, Fanfan, Jijjiu, Shenshen. Then Coral, Beatrice, Ravenous, Tank, Cloud Castle. Should I cut any VWs ED to 1 and add something else? I'm glad I found you and can understand you!!
Great videos, first time playing YGO and I started with this deck, the only card I still don't understand is the forbidden goblets, thanks for the content, keep it up!
This is quite the deck to start playing with 😂 it does so much. Forbidden droplet is good because it doesn't target and usually can't be responded to, it's very powerful against things like Herald of Ultimateness and Avramax
basically, discard X cards, negate that same amount of monsters, if you discard a monster they cant use monster effects in response same for Spell/Trap, ex: if you only discard traps they can respond with monsters or spell
I hoenstly love my build I don't want to change anything. I wouldn't mind fitting in vanity's emptiness, and I wanna test foolish burial goods and maybe crossout designator.
Is that you 9th gym? Damn i love your guides in pokemon competitive, didn't know you're doin yu-gi-oh too! im definitely sure this will be a good guide!
Feel like in slowly understanding, I just need to read the cards more and link what effects go with what names. Do you always try a zeus if you go second? Lulu is a direct pull so is amazing. When do you go for shenshen + another 9 star rather than cloud for example?
Honestly I don't make zeus too frequently. I usually make gottoms if my opponent has used 1 or more handtraps and I can still make the vfd play, that way I rip from an already small hand instead of a full hand. If I can force my opponent to play with 4 or less cards it would be hard to win even if they have an out for the vfd. If my opponent didn't use any interruptions and still has a full hand I'll make shenshen and croc for vfd usually.
@@nostalgioh Right, I think i need to sort my extra deck out. I'm missing things like gottoms. I really need to understand when to summon what special deck cards, like why is croc good? You can activate all the extra deck cards as you summon them right and then use them to summon vfd?
@@nostalgioh Also I think i need to change my deck a bit, its a bit different from yours, is there a list somewhere. I have like coral dragon and gaia thunder in mine and dont have 3 copies of one of the virtual summoner, think it has that drill bird hand card and impermanance etc..
Did the bannings have any effect on the deck? I am new to this game so don't know,I wanted to follow this deck and learn its mechanics,so wanted to know before building it
Droplets is crazy because it doesn't target and can't be responded to with whatever you send. So if you send a monster your opponent can't respond to it with monster effects. It's the most effective overall to cards like herald of ultimateness, avramax, and just big boards in general. And you can make it cheaper by sending spells and traps from the same chain ex. I activate pot of desires then on the same chain activate droplet sending the pot of desires to negate a monster on the field (essentially making it feel free)
Since you had Shenshen on your VFD how would you end the board with Shenshen and VFD instead of M7 on that last game? Just curious for my own games thanks :) great vid.
@@nostalgioh ah okay, thought there might be a combo or something you couldve done to get there. Still learning the deck, excited for more of your VW vids!
I don't understand how do you defend against things like raigeki, lightning storm, etc. Half of the time my opponent uses any of those types of cards and wipes the entire combo that i've spent 3 minutes to setup. Is the only way to defend against those cards an ash blossom?
Does anyone have a list of all the extra deck monsters? I went ahead and went all in on virtual world but I can’t recognize what cards he swaps out for from a random regular meta list (except for xx gotams)
They can still activate effects in hand that aren't the called attribute so pick the attribute you expect. I've been blind calling light on stadby phase, but a lot of people like to not shotgun it in sp. I'm not sure what's best tbh
In the last game you said ending on a VFD and shenshen would be the optimal play but your shen shen is in the GY since you used it to summon VFD and you can't summon it until your next MP1. Is there a play that I missed or didn't see?
True king of all calamities, shenshen, ultimaya tzolkin, and crystal wing are the most essential URs in that order. Then zeus, ptolemy, jiujiu, gottoms. For SRs coral dragon, crocodragon, break sword, and fanfan are pretty important.

True King negates every on field monster effect and many in hand, also crystal wing is a monster negate. The deck may be susceptible to spell traps since its all monster negates but that is enough most the time
It felt fairly cheap to me but overall is kinda pricey. A lot of URs in the extra deck that have to be crqfted makes it not super cheap, but the core is fairly cheap
