Split each humbucker with the tone controls. Go out of phase for some quack tones. The neck is bilaminated rock maple which is super enduring due to the grain attributes not twisting over time. Ash body is dense, adds to the sound and is crazy durable Seriously, 40 years later and these are better than mainstream new guitars being made. Neck tilt isn’t a great thing to use on this -though it can get the action very low. The butt of the neck can begin to separate from the tilt pin being driven into the back of the neck. Awesome tones. Plays great. You’ve got to man up to gig with it. Plenty of folks can’t handle this thing -which makes the bassist playing one, even cooler. Killer bass.

I have to admit it man, you get some of the sweetest guitars and showcase them here Kieth. Very cool to think that Peavey was selling stuff in London way back in '79.

I’ve got a 79 T40. It still has the plastic over the control area, it has the labeling for the controls.

I bought it about 20 years ago or so, I’d found it on eBay. It’s in super condition too.
I’ve always loved the look of the early Peavey basses. I have an ‘83 Peavey Foundation as well.

Cool man, my favourite strat that I own is a Peavey that I rescued from a barn I was working on, not at all an expensive model and , dig this man, it a laminated body...a true Plybonez but it sings and howls like a custom shop Fender. The neck is as smooth as silk and your fingers seem to float up and down it...awesome...but he's without frets at the moment and while I'm changing those I'm also changing the body colour...and have filled the trem cavity for a fixed bridge...1 single Jackson 80's pup on the neck and it right there mate.. It's quite interesting how Peavey did his thing...another great upload Keith, nice one fella, have a great day \m/
