I recently bought the Traska Venturer GMT, I had wanted a GMT for a while and for me, it absolutely ticks all the boxes, small case size, "true" GMT and so on. I know the internal bezel and accompanying second crown at 10 o'clock might not be for everyone, but I really do think it's worth a look - I'd love to see you review it!
@@uncles2000 that's fair, my wrist is on the larger size, so I'm comfortable with watches that are 40-44. Ben usually prefers smaller watches than I do, which might explain why it's not on his list.
I’d also include the Jack Mason Strat-O-Timer. About £700 - £800 from the US with great finishing, quick detach bracelet, on the fly micro adjust, sapphire crystal and most importantly for the price a true/travellers GMT movement!
Picked up a AMZWATCH's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
I have the white dial, was surprised he missed this. There's a couple other worthy 9075 additions too. Stratotimer from Jack Mason and Lorier Hyperion come to mind
I have a couple basic GMTs. They’re great, love them. Should I be traveling a lot ? I will just pickup one of my digital world or dual TZ watches, like my casio 800H.
I think a very good option under 1k$, would be Steinhart Ocean One GMT BLUE-RED, SKU:103-1100. That's a Rolex Pepsi homage , but quality/price is amazing. Selita SW330-1 movement, pretty good quality , Swiss made .
If you like the Timex GMT but want an independently adjustable hour hand (like a 'true' GMT) the Timex Q 3-Time Zone is a quirky option. 12hr GMT hand, 24hr slaved hr hand sub register, sub seconds dial, date window, 12 hr bidirectional bezel, AND a frikkin' chronograph! It's in a Q GMT style case too ...a bit of a Timex "Grand Complication" - absolutely nuts. 😁
I did too. I was planning to hold off for them to release a sapphire version but they confirmed that it will not be available anytime soon. Did you go with the cream or silver dial? Want to see some actual photos before it arrives haha
Just wanted to say that i love your channel and your way of presenting bro! I just started my watch collection, because I was inspired by my grandpa and you really helped me finding my first beautiful dress watch!
Ben, that was the best description of caller and traveler GMT's I have heard... and I have heard a lot of them. I enjoyed this video very much and I'm not going anywhere.
I just saw an awesome Tissot quartz rootbeer GMT Seastar for just under $400 in the duty free shop at the airport! I love all these cool options you found from brands I hadn't even heard of, though, way more of a conversation starter
Another great quartz GMT option is the Citizen BJ7111. Quirky and very unique style but with a true GMT movement, solar powered, diver’s 200m WR and super titanium. I love it.
14:18 Woah, that dial is crazy! I’ve never seen a MoP that dark. San Martin makes a great product. The WISE is very hard to beat, dollar-for-dollar. And they let you chose the color of the GMT hand, no matter which color dial/bezel you choose. I have their Adamascus AD7 and it’s a fantastic watch
Thanks for all the GMT watch reviews. I just purchased the Zelos THRESHER 41MM AVENTURINE for $650 US dollars. Seen allot of great reviews on it and it too has the Miyota 9075 'True' GMT movement. Looking forward to getting it, my first watch from Zelos and my first GMT.
I've had the blue 36mm CW for the last couple months and am extremely pleased with it - I usually switch what I am wearing every week but this one has resolutely refused displacement. The size feels just right to me, and there is a bigger one too
Thanks for this. Some interesting pieces to consider. I have the Henry Archer Verden GMT on my current short list. It appears they are about to ship so I’ll look forward to your review.
Great video, very accurate analysis. In my 4.5 years in the game as a watch collector and enthusiast, I collected a lot from AMZWATCH I was thinking I was able to get a blue SD but I'm not vip enough, but I'm not giving up. Hehe. Great video.
Some lovely choices here, but I have and love the Seestern Vintage GMT and could not recommend it enough! Seiko NH34, classic 1655 looks and a high-quality micro-adjust bracelet and at an incredible value! Keep it up!
Great list, but two very decent options under 1000€ are missing : Bulova Diver devil GMT and Steinhart Ocean 39 Titan GMT wich i think are one of the best values on the market
I own a Glycine Airman 18. It's a 'pre Invicta ownership' watch, has an ETA 2892, and it's a 39mm with 200m wr and screw down crown. An original design, which arguably looks better than these new cheap watches, and didn't look like a knockoff.
The Airman was the first GMT ever. Even after Invicta purchased Glycine they have stated they do not handle or have a say in the design of Glycine watches or the daily operations. Funding is all they provide. Both companies have stated that. The Airman is a great watch. Used heavily by military pilots in Vietnam war
A video on crystals would be great.. 'boxed' is a new tearm to me! Which is better, domed/double domed or flat, why dome a crystal? Thanks for the content today
Thank you Ben! Some interesting models, though I was surprised not to hear you mention Glycine. I mean, they sort of invented the automatic GMT and you can easily get Glycine GMTs under 1000$... Nonetheless, great video, keep it up!
I was just going to say the same thing! I have the Combat Sub GMT automatic and it's such a great watch for the price! Easily available for under $600 and even cheaper if you get the quartz version too!
I love the Phoibos Eagle Ray PD 023D around £200 for a Quartz Rhonda powered compressor style watch. A number of dial colours, plus great build quality and looks beautiful!
Nice wrap up. I think my fave is the Seiko Field GMT, but in the JDM white. I have a Glycine Airman quartz GMT 40mm. That’s over the $1000 USD limit, but with Invicta style RRP, you can find it well under. Cheers from Oz.
The Pagani Design PD-1758 is an excellent value-for-money hommage GMT at $115 and looks great with the red bezel and gilded hands. If you are more into the military look there's the Citizen Ec-Drive titanium BJ7110 GMT for $370. The Phoibos Eagle Ray GMT around $230 is also a great looking watch with the deep red fade dial. If you want something dressy, Zeppelin has a few GMT's with Ronda quartz movement for around $280 or with Miiyota automatic for $480.
Check out the Enoksen Roam. Enoksen are based in Belfast and no one hardly seems to know about them. I've been buying watches from them since 2018 and their service is second to none. I have the Roam as it was one of the first mocrobrands out with the Seiko GMT movement. It's just a great no nonsense GMT with 300m water resistance, a nice tool look and great lume.
I respectfully disagree with the WISE ADX not being added to the category of “The Lookers”. IMO, in this list, the ADX is #1 above the CW C63. More useful too with the rotating bezel and generously lumed as well.
Just wanted to let you know, you're currently my favorite comfort video TH-camr... while I drive, I listen to your videos (don't worry, not watch, I save that for when I'm not driving). Thanks for all your great content!
Watches in this price bracket tend to be office GMT's. This is where you can adjust the GMT independently. It's nice to see Wise with a traveller's GMT. Otherwise you're looking at the Seiko Presage GMT and the Mido Ocean Star GMT. I've just bought the former, slightly used for half retail price. Another option is the Glycine Airman. I went for the three hander. It takes a little time to get used to reading a 24 hour watch but you get used to it. The bezel makes it easy to track a second time zone.
I’ve been looking at the Henry archer gmt. True gmt for $600 and I’ve never been a fan of having 3 timezones. Either a fixed gmt bezel or inner ring with the 24hr scale for me
You forgot the Tisell GMT with the Miyota 9075. Insanely fantastic deal at $285 with free shipping. I think (at least when I bought mine) it was the cheapest automatic GMT available that didn’t use a Chinese movement.
I would say, you missed one cool watch, also I'm biased as I own it, the blue dial... Bulowa Oceanographer GMT, and I believe the Miota movement was actually made for this one initially. Despite the website announces them for north of £1000, I haven't seen them anywhere at a retailer for that money. The one I have, was bought new last December in Europe for € 850,-
I absolutely love watches, the high end watch brands are out of my budget but the MAMACOO has literally an almost duplicate of every single watch on the market . Always a great but no matter your budget.
As a watch enthusiast with NO budget, thank you MAMACOO for great-looking mechanical watches that I can afford! their are very clean, classy look, $150 each. I still watch videos about expensive “proper” watches, but I enjoy what I have

Steinhart Ocean One Titanium Premium GMT should be on the list thanks to very good value for money. Or at least as a honorable mention. Though the list is really good overall.
