Just got my LVN & first job with the state of California $50/hr & Please believe overtime nighttime differential and weekends will be my bestie All this first year ❤🙌🏾💯
Very true as LPN/LVN I was making over $100 k a year in California while going to school for my RN. I never struggled as LVN. And I have a kid. LVN is the beginning to greatness. Y’all get your LPN really quick then keep moving
@@headshotcaptain8389depends on what area you’re living in California. You’d be surprised. Cali is just not bound to Los Angeles and San Francisco’s higher cost of living.
I agree. I’ve been an lpn for only a year. My first hourly wage was $32/hr. However now my hourly rate is $25/hr but I get bonuses every shift and with my bonuses I’m at $41/hr as an lpn. Definitely a great start to nursing
I’m an RN and Agree 100% with you I was an LVN for 11 years made huge money!!!! I worked hard but had endless work !!! I’m in Los Angeles Ca. No gimmicks Just my education as an LVN made me money I worked double shifts did overtime galore and was very well compensated
You tell truth. If you can't live off 6 figures you really live above your means. Most places lpn is like a year. You can't beat that especially if you travel and make your home state an inexpensive home base. When you travel you keep the stipend.
What’s up pop locd how have you been? I miss your live sessions you used to hold for standing spouses. Unfortunately I chose to throw in the towel after long standing and realizing he has a free will best decision I ever made and I’m now in my nursing program so excited for the things God is doing in my life.
@intentionalhome7357 Wow, thank you for the shoutout 🙏🏾 and I, too, ended my stand. I am thinking about doing more sessions, I do have a lot to share. Congrats on getting into school ✊🏿. I finished up LPN school a few years ago, and now I'm wrapping up RN school.
The only way people cannot live off 80 is because they take the internet to seriously and are spending when they should be saving… buying clothes & shoes & don’t have a stable home. Not paying bills & letting them rack up bc they got to look good for FB
Just don’t get into it for the money because you’ll be miserable!!! I work with nurses that literally aren’t compassionate at all and they’re miserable!
I’m old now bouta be 28 next week but imma start school soon because I work 2 jobs and only make 65k and year it’s enough to pay my bills but I wanna enjoy life so I might be late but imma still get it done tired of being a loser I want to be proud of something for myself
(East coast perspective)(LPN-RN) 24 yrs old) As an lpn 4 travel contract is six figures. I just don’t like to travel outside my state.Or if you pick up a local hero pay/travel pay shifts like 3-2 times a week plus your regular shift 36 you can touch it to . It’s just hard work that’s all. I work every weekend and work Fridays and I touch 90
Hello everyone I am here to recommend Dr Luther to everyone preparing for the nclex, he help me pass the Nclex RN on my 4th attempt. he is the solution to all nclex problems be it RN or PN.
You had an earlier video about this too..But cmon unless you’ve got a lot of child support (married or not) or a ridiculous amount of student loans who can you not survive off 6 figs? Yeah I was burning daylight and needed to become a nurse and start making money the fastest way which was the LPN route..If you play the system correctly you can make decent money and have a great schedule..?And you can advance anytime you want without losing your current job value..Not rocket science..
Another thing…I did not know you could get an associate in nursing and be an RN at the time I got my LPN license . That was 10 years ago and I just needed a fast way to make good money. Had I done my research I would have just gotten my associate in nursing and been an RN this whole time.
When I was an LPN for 8-9 years looking for a new job in Georgia, a lot of places were trying to pay me $25-29. My pay growth took a really long time! I WISH my starting pay was over $25 lol my first LPN job in 2014 was trying to offer my $16 per hour bruh. My manager had to persuade HR to up it to $18! Even now my current job couldn’t offer my more than $31 per hour but in addition I get a specially premium and shift differentials . How yall negotiating this good ass pay ?
Hi there may I ask, does the over time pay apply to LPNs too? Like the over 8hrs it’s time and half and over 12 it’s double? I never hear LPN confirm about this in CA
You guys are lucky. Here in BC (Canada) and an HCA gets paid $26/ hour home support, long-term $28.74/ hour, whereas LPN starts at $31.89/ hour. So, there is no motivation to become an LPN at least in British Columbia, Canada. Maybe an RN, they start at $40/ hour
Kellogg Community college, Battle Creek. Kalamazoo valley Community college, Jackson community college, Grand rapids community college. Dorsey is quick but too expensive. All of the above have LPN programs and the list goes on....
Six figures isn’t really a lot though when you factor in current cost of living, taxes, and inflation overall. Price gouging with housing is definitely something six figure earners are feeling right now and

No joke I’m averaging 80-100k a year as a CNA but im working 120-140 hrs I’m in school to become a LPN then I’m doing RN

I'm from broward county Florida out Tech colleges have the 1 yr Lpn program for less than 6 grand. And it was cheaper then that before the pandemic

You can do a bridge program now. Its LPN to RN is easy (easier than LPN). Especially if you have a lot of experience.
Actually that's more than 109k.
If it's biweekly you multiply by 26 pay periods to get the yearly figure.
4560 x 26 = $118,560.

Canada pay scale will have to step up in time to come. Trust me!! Alberta ER in chaos. Supportive living, LTC are always short staff.
