    I’ve been an LPN for seven years! I started when I was 23. It’s now time for me to go back to school and get my RN license but being an LPN has been wonderful for me! I grossed $90k last year and I’m living in a very low paying state. I’m just here to encourage people to do it! i worked full time and went to school full time. I’m telling you…. It’s tough, but it’s worth it! whenever you take the boards, be sure to apply for the multi state compact license instead of just the state you live in.
    I’ve done a lot in my career: long term care management, assisted living management, agency (jail, school, LTAC, med surf units), home health, doctors office

    With the current nursing shortage, it’s crazy how many hospitals are hiring LPNs/LVNs on med surg, telemetry and emergency rooms.

    • @FairBeautyEssentials
      @FairBeautyEssentials ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Well, what is so crazy about the hospitals hiring LPN LVS?

    • @jennifertorres3051
      @jennifertorres3051 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Some hospitals never stopped hiring LPNs. The local hospital around my area never stopped employing them. It's only in certain states where hospitals stopped hiring them and then picked them back up when covid hit, but certain states never stopped hiring them to begin with.

    Here in BC, Canada, there is not much pay difference between HCA/CNA and LPN; exactly $3-5 extra per hour but its takes 2 years to complete LPN. So, in a year you're making only $7,000 extra a year: if you put in lots of overtime.

    • @sidneymonica
      @sidneymonica  ปีที่แล้ว

      Right ! And not much difference in pay From LPN to RN. It all depends on your end role and what you like to accomplish
