I’m a woman and couldn’t look away! I kept think why why why?! Couldn’t this be done another day? A dryer day? After more repairs to the driveway? How is he going to get it back down? Kudos to you all for thinking through the logistics and finding solutions. Dang though - you came so close to losing that $$$$. Congrats!
@joybrown8644 😂 believe me it’s even hard for me to watch this video! This was something that needed to happen as my family and I are living in it full-time while we continue to work on the property and eventually build our house. These days things are so expensive and renting a apartment or another house is just not financially feasible, so moving back out to the mountains and going through the struggles is difficult, but very rewarding all of the same time. Many blessings to you and your family, my friend!
I think some repo guys could get it out. Their advantage is help from gravity. They would not get it up there like this guy just did, but they would get it down. Like they would hit the edge of the bank, lock up the trailer brakes to make the wheels skid and the trailer with slide over and on they would go. They would scratch it up of course, maybe even pretty bad but they would get it.
@@foxhollerhomestead well, I don't believe you are the kind of person who takes advantage of others! And I'm sure it is there to stay. But I used to move stuff professionally, buildings, heavy equipment, about anything that paid. Often the crazy loads were moved on special trailers and they get hung up easily. But my thought was that it is surprisingly easier to move stuff down a hill than up hill.
@@ifyoutip nobody could take it if there's a gate and it's locked with a lock. I know because I was a repo guy for many years so basically. If they play the cards right they can literally keep it for free for example if they just put it on jacks and take off the tires that would make it very difficult for anyone to take it they would have to come prepared
Most definitely!! The sense of accomplishment I felt that day was very overwhelming especially being able to provide a home for the next year while we are building a house!! Many blessings to you my friend! Dusty
Dusty... I'm in Federal Way, about 90 minutes south of you and watching you get that trailer up there was impressive. Congratulations, and a job well done by Skagit Logistics. Take care and enjoy your new trailer! ! !
Mornin my friend, always ice to see another Washingtonian!!! We are actually in upper Issaquah off highway 90, so a lot closer. This RV is definitely a blessing and amazingly beautiful ta boot! Many blessings to you and your family!
Awesome video and awesome trailer!! I also enjoy practicing tight maneuvers with vehicles. That used to be a bit of a hobby for me before I even had a driver's license. Now that I have a travel trailer, a lot of what I learned by trial (and lots of) error is coming in handy 😅. Shout out to that delivery service too! That's a lot of pressure but also looks like a fun challenge.
That is too awesome that you took the initiative to try things out of your comfort zone from the very beginning! There are a lot of people that don’t do that and it comes back to bite them in the end. Because that video is still to this day hard for me to watch because that day was so stressful! All I could think that whole time that RV was stuck on the corner is that I will do anything in my power to provide for my family and no matter what it takes. I will get this thing up on the property! I had a few doubts there along the way as well! Lol
Joe honestly with every bit of myself and Regina we thank y’all so much! Without you and Kurtis, I do not believe that it ever would’ve happened!! Y’all are seriously top notch the best in the business!
Glad they got it in, but they should have had slid plates and Jack's. I've seen those WV mountain boys move 80 footers up narrow mtn.roads smooth as can be
Most definitely my friend and honestly now that I look back on it and there are so many other things that we could have done but maybe next time…. Lol I definitely don’t want to have a next time! We will be living here for the next year while we are building a house and widening the road so there should not be any further issues with moving the RV on and off the property many blessings to you my friend Dusty
Sincerely thank you so much my friend and congratulations on your new business! This was definitely out of the wheelhouse concerning most movers but they had already been up to the property once before to deliver a cabin. This will be our home for the next year or more while we continue to build our house so it was a necessity that I get up there. Many blessings to you and yours my friend
Sincerely thank you so much my friend and let me welcome you to the fox family!! That day was so beyond stressful that we did it and now my family has our temporary home while we continue building the house!! Blessings to you and yours my friend
Sincerely Welcome! Thank you so much!! Really hope that you stick around and join the fox family on our journey to a better life! Many blessings to you and your family Dusty
Honestly don’t believe it could get any tighter than that without destroying something! You are 100% correct!! Thank you so much and we are so happy to have you a part of this journey and a new member of the Fox Family! Dusty and Regina
Back in the nineties I brought the first load of a prefabricated home to a location in PA. I was in a big truck with a 45 foot spread axle flatbed. That was interesting. They had a front end loader and an all terrain forklift and actually had cur som banks for me to make two corners. After unloading they would use the forklift and pick up the back of the trailer to move it and I just backed the tractor up 5 feet at a time. As for the truck? A long hood freightliner classic with the long hood and a 60 inch flat top sleeper. The broker guaranteed that I could fit up the road, yeah right. As for this delivery, I would have had you rent an all terrain forklift to follow behind. It would have been so much easier. Then you would have signed on the road delivered with no driver damage before I would have turned into your driveway. Yes I would have put it where you wanted it but not for normal rates and or held responsible for damages to the camper. And unless I get paid enough to rent one of those handy dandy tracked mobile home movers then damage is on you. But I won't take any chances with my truck. Just because you think something is solid, don't mean it is. If I delivered your camper, you may not like what I say needs to be done but a hell of a lot less chances. You can rent anything now days and always the right tools for the job and if you pay I can guarantee.
It was definitely a lot more difficult than I had initially anticipated but you’re right we got it done! This has been our home while we continue to work on the property and eventually build our house so it was a must that we needed to get it up here. Happy holidays and many blessings to you and your family as well, my friend!!
Not sure how I came across this video, but I love this stuff. We go camping with our RVs and get stuck and have all that fun. I wanted to pop into this video and help so bad. It had me glued. You guys all nailed. Amazing driving and brilliant move with the wood planks. I would have never thought of that. Great video.
Sincerely thank you so much for coming by my friend and honestly that day was crazy crazy crazy!! This will be our home for the next year or so while we try and build our house so it was a must that it needed to be up here and I was not about to give up! Cannot tell you how much we appreciate you watching and the name family flippers…. OK you got me interested! I hope you continue with us on this journey as we are just trying to build a Homestead for our family and share the progress with the world. Much love to you my friend and many blessings to you and your family Dusty and Regina
@@foxhollerhomestead Thank you my man. Yes, we are tight family, we have our fun videos on our channel as well, hard to keep up and I'm not as good of a talker as you. lol Thank you for the reply, love the new home.
@@FamilyFlippers damn my brother I just got to check in your channel out and wow!! Y’all look like an amazing family and honestly if y’all ever come up to Washington hit us up we could show you some cool stuff up in the mountains!! Just subbed remember and look forward to your next journey!
Dave it was seriously a blessing! I do not know a whole lot of individuals let alone businesses that would have approached that that we did it! Blessings to you my friend Dusty
Awesome!! Yes a do believe a tractor would have been easier but wasn’t an option at the time financially. Was very stressful but really awesome experience! Many blessings to you and yours my friend! Dusty
Sincerely thank you so much and it sounds like you know exactly what hassle it can turn into! It all worked out in the end though. Sincerely appreciate you watching and hopefully you continue with us on this journey my friend! Blessings to you and your family Dusty
Eric from Mustang Logistics Services. We do these kind of complicated deliveries all the tim e, nationwide. Skagit might have tried to use a standard cab 4x4 for the delivery. Tighter turning radius and added traction for a road like this. Could have been done in less time.
It's amazing what you can do if you go slow and careful. Reminds me of zigzagging our way through the trees backwards to set up our trailer. If you think going forward is hard, try backing into a hard spot. Steering backwards is way harder than going forward. Everything swings in the opposite direction.
Most definitely I have to agree with you and yes I am a crane operator but I have my CDL and have put trucks in places that they probably should not have been able to go so I totally understand! Many blessings to you my friend Dusty
i hear ya there !! my wife & i have gone to some " labor of love " to get away fer sum peace n quiet !! lol snipping/pruning, climbing on the trailer to push/hold branches from taking off the vent covers lol. one eve we found a road and walked it 2 c if it was " the one " and found a great spoy . it was clear no one had used that road for camping in many a year ya know the signs..... old fire rings filled in with weeds , pine needles, age. but it had a TITE tree grown section that was a no going back deal. it took us several hours to go maybe a tenth of a mile or so? ..... we had to use flashlights to open slider JUST enuf to get to bed ... right in the middle of the " road " !!!! but we finished in am. it REALLY WAS WORTH THE EFFORT... quiet, beautiful with the valley b low us no fear of dogs running free !! we been back 2 mor x's :) anyway ur comment brought back some great memories !!!! peace. ATB !
Love how calm you were. Great job. My dad would be raging his head off. Fitting in every inch. Not panicking, but having one of the largest campers on a for some reason skinny trail.
Sincerely thank you my friend! Inside I was going crazy but obviously no reason to act a fool it wouldn’t help anything. Many blessings to you and your family
I'm a gal and the only one in the family who drives truck for a living, so my family would always have me "drive the motorhome over", or "can you help us with the fifth wheel?" -- this video totally reminded me of my big question, " can you see any light? (in between, in tight situation)", but nothing this extreme, lol. What amazing, challenging terrain. This was an awesome ! video, with terrific teamwork and driving! You all rock!
As a CDL driver myself this was definitely a challenge tenfold and it sounds like you completely understand!! We knew going into this even weeks before that it was going to be difficult but the heavy rains and flooding the week before definitely made it harder. This will be our home for the next year while building the house so failure was not an option. I was pretty nervous a couple different times but as you know these are the times that our true colors shine through and for this we are blessed. Many blessings to you and yours my friend And drive safe out there Dusty
Bar oil great idea, next time better get the dozer out and do some revamping of the driveway, awesome vid, awesome skagit, job well done, like you said a lot of people wouldn,t even take that job on or after 3 hours would have given up,Best wishes to you and hope you enjoy the trailer, awesome vid, from, Auckland, New Zealand. Trailer looks great there.👑Skagit logistics 👑⭐👍✅💯❤🍻thankyou for the vid.
Sincerely thank you my friend! It really means a lot to have you enjoy The video and just a little backstory.. This will be our home for the next year while we continue to build our house. We will have loggers come in soon to do their thing but they will also be further widening the driveway to accommodate their log trucks which will help us in the future as for getting the RV on and off the property without a problem. This has been a long process even up till now over the last year. When we first got out here the road wasn’t even wide enough to bring my truck up the driveway and that big giant boulder I had to take off about 4 feet by hand which was definitely a process but we are getting there! Hope you stick around and many blessings to you over across the pond! Dusty
Good you got out. I have no idea what I would have done. I've always carried a 10 ton jack and a snatch strap. On my semi we have a come along attached to our trailer(we haul trusses. Nothing heavy) just in case we get into a bind like this. Plenty of trees around to pull off of
I completely hear you my friend and honestly, I believe that my experience with heavy haul and driving truck and being in the crane industry, helped me out a lot when it came to figuring out how to get that thing off the corner. I do believe that the driver could have made the approach a little wider from the beginning, but it is what it is! We definitely got it up here though and this is what we’re living in full-time while we continue to work on the property and eventually build our house. Many blessings to you and yours, my friend and stay safe out there
Sooo, I've been sitting here watching this without realizing one important thing..... I NEVER knew I could hold my breath for over 13 minutes watching you guys get this in place, well done Dusty and the guys Cheers Bear
Bear, please believe me I know exactly what you’re talking about and that five hours was literally the most intense that I’ve had in a long time!! But nevertheless we persevered and got it done and these guys are just top notch!! Cheers to you my brother
I know what they went thru and DUDES, YOU ARE AWESOME. I own Island Time Transport in the Fla. Keys. I just got back from Missouri, I pulled an over-weighted 40 ' footer with my '03 Dodge 2500. Took us 3 days to get there (no lights on camper, lost them somewhere in North Florida). Was a nightmare trip. Customer rode with me, and was very happy with the whole trip. I haven't been in such a tight spot . . . . YET.
I've been doing RV transport for a while on top of my RV repair business and that's pretty impressive to see you guys coordinate that well and take the time to make it right by waiting 3 hours to get something in order to make it go smoothly is well worth it instead of taking 15 minutes to tear the side off of a jel-coated fiberglass unit.
Sincerely appreciate that! There seems to be no shortage of “know it all’s” willing to criticize our efforts. That day along with all the challenges were…definitely a learned experience! But we came out on top and no damage! Blessings to you my friend Dusty
Have you ever had to back a travel trailer up grade on gravel to get it out of a driveway? I'm pondering if the maneuver is even doable and my purchase decision is weighing on it.
Honestly, my friend, if we could get a 44 foot toy hauler up this tiny little switchback road then you definitely got it covered! If you get in a bind, always think outside the box and you got this!!!
Since coming up I’ve built a full metal carport over top full length. I also pressure was every three months. It’s definitely a task but well worth every minute of beauty!
Well I have to say I don’t envy that situation because as you know it was…. Challenging to say the least! But thank you so much for the compliment and also for joining us on our journey! Sincerely Dusty and Regina
The last time I saw the side of a trailer that close to something, I was pulling out of the dealership for the first time and almost dragged a couple of their golf carts with us. Well done !!
What a hard time you had. Many thanks to the delivery crew for going the extra mile to make sure you got the RV delivered and without damage in such a tight fix. Thanks for sharing and taking us along.
Sincerely thank you so much my friend and yes it was a very stressful day but we came out on top without any damage and everyone was safe! Many blessings to you and we hope that you continue with us on our journey Dusty and Regina
👌 my dad has passed he used to pull anything anywhere. I was in a 5th wheel from TX to ID the GPS sent us up some goat path mountain as i watched out the windows there were times we only had an inch or two thought me and pups were done but nope he pulled it off to this day I swear angels were keeping wheels from sliding off. Great job guys I watched in memory of Gump he would give you a 5*
Sincerely thank you so much and I am honored that you shared such a story! Your dad sounds like someone that was wonderful and showed you many things. Thank you so much again and many blessings to you and yours! Dusty and Regina
Thank you so much my friend and if it makes you homesick where are you from? It was definitely a stressful day but we got it done and it will be our home for the next year while we build our house. We will also be widening the road during that time so we can move the RV on and off the property without any problem. Many blessings to you and your family Dusty
@@foxhollerhomestead You'll likely need to do that sooner than you think. These RV's (I mean all RV's) are pieces of junk and the mobile RV techs can only do so much. It'll end up at the dealership.
@@foxhollerhomestead Hi Dusty. Got an idea for you. Extend the driveway beyond the hair-pin turn with enough area to back the RV down from the top into that part, then you can just drive forward from there onto the road. That will also help with construction vehicles or visitors for extra parking. To go back up, just back in straight up from the road into the extended area then drive forward up the rest of the way and back into your RV site. You may have to widen that bottom stretch from the road a little though just to make sure you keep the RV shiny! Exciting project. Have fun with the construction. Liked and Suscribed! Can't wait to see the progress. Gaetan, Rockland, Ontario, Canada
First off let me say thank you so much for watching this and we hope you continue to join us on our journey! As for the toy hauler we have a very large family and this just worked out for us! We will be logging in about a couple months and the company will be widening the road to accommodate their trucks being coming a win-win for us and concerns to moving the RV on and off the property for traveling. But until then we are living in it for the next year while we build our house! Many blessings to you my friend Dusty
Thank you for this upload! Couldn’t decide between a fifth wheel yurt or building a small cabin, but I’m ready to rest. I don’t want to deal with the stress of the yurt build or cabin build so I’m just getting a fifth wheel! moving from Florida to the smoky mountains gonna get about 5 acres. I’m probably gonna have to cut in the driveway grade it and everything was wondering how hard it’s gonna be to get a fifth wheel up there, this video helped out a lot balls to the wall. Just have to gofor it!!
100% my friend! Honestly, it was very intimidating as I’m sure your situation is as well but we only live once, and if we have a dream the only way we can accomplish it is give it everything we have!! Was most important for my wife and I is that we raise our children on the property rather than in the city. This way we can teach them valuable lessons and skills that will carry with them for the rest of their lives and their children’s lives, etc.. I have no doubt in my mind that you will accomplish your dream my friend!!! Always remember, nothing worth anything is ever easy, but at the end of the day, it’s always worth it! Many blessings to you and your family, my friend
There is also a follow up to this video right at the end that explains why we moved out here and the things we are going through and the struggles. It has the same thumbnail just a different title
@@foxhollerhomestead thank you so much for that. Ready to escape the city and draw closer to God and live the second half of my life in a righteous sanctified way, been through hell. THAT'S COOL. LOVE MOMENTS WHEN WE GET INTO A PICKLE AN WE TO PONDER WHAT TOO DO NEXT,,,, INGENU ITY GOES ALONG WAY ,GOOD JOB . I'm anxiously waiting to see you getting it out !!!!! LOL
Sincerely appreciate that my friend and thank you! It was definitely a challenge all the way around but for good reason. You see that we will be living here in the RV for as long as it takes to further work on the driveway as well as build our home. With the way that permits are going it is happening a little slower than we’d like but again this was the whole point to get a big RV like this up here as we have a big family and needed something to accommodate all of us! Hopefully you continue to join us along this journey and so many blessings and love to you and your family my friend!
We definitely needed something big enough to accommodate all of our family so this was a good choice for us and being that it won’t be moving for a while it was a plus plus
Dang bro that was close, those guys did a Awesome job getting it up there. I pull a fifth wheel RV about that size as well, and don't think I would try that...lol but happy ya'll got the job done 👍
Thank you so much my brother and honestly I don’t wanna try that again but you’re right we did it!! lol that was honestly the most stressed I’ve been in a long time!! This will be our home for the next year while we are building a house so it was something that was out of the norm to get it up there. Many blessings to you my friend Dusty
I applaud all of your efforts & truly amazed you got that thing up there. Hope you gave that guy a huge lunch or dinner! For me it just proves that large RVs generally have no business going on soft gravel uphill, especially in the rain.
Sincerely thank you and please let me explain that this will be our home for the next year while we continue to build our house and further widen the driveway for the future. Once it’s complete we will be able to move the RV on and off the property to go on more journeys without any issues!! Thank you so much for watching Celeste and many blessings to you
That was such an experience and we are so happy that it worked out!! Honestly I don’t see it going anywhere in a long time but Regina and I are totally OK with us!! Skadgit Logistics definitely went above and beyond to help us out!
Sincerely thank you so much my friend that really means a lot as this will be our home for the next year while we build our house and further widen the driveway! Everything seems to be extra challenging on the Homestead but we knew that coming into it and we’re ready for anything! Have an amazing day!
That 5th wheel is a beast! I passed up on a few properties because I didn't think I could make it up the switch back driveways myself in our 36ft 5th wheel. I'm definitely going to be utilizing that transpo company you found. Hopefully I won't need to but thus far it seems like every piece of land we find with potential has a crazy steep/curved driveway. Which I don't mind too much once I can get up there. Thanks for this. I was on edge watching this. Haha
You are right about that one!! I worked on the driveway as much as possible to get it up there and the intent is to live in it for the next year while we are building our house so it won’t be going anywhere for a while. The loggers will be coming in soon and doing further widening of the driveway to accommodate their trucks which is a win-win for us because it allows us to eventually move the RV on and off the property without a problem! Believe me that day was definitely more stress than I probably needed but it all worked out! Many blessings to you my friend. Dusty
Kudos to you for getting a toy hauler up that road, but, I must be missing something. What's the point of wedging that hauler into a place where you can't come and go freely?
Sincerely thank you so much my friend and I will explain! This will be our home for the next year while we build our house. Loggers will be coming in soon to continue the driveway but also further widen the driveway to accommodate their log trucks which is ultimately a win-win for us and we knew this prior to getting the toy hauler. That way once the house is built and our driveway is widened, we will be able to move the RV on and off the property without a problem! Blessings to you my friend Dusty

@@foxhollerhomestead I figured as much but I pulled RV's cross country. I always would ask myself when I put one somewhere how was someone going to get it out. Congrats man. That is a beautiful piece of property. I hope and pray the house build goes smoothly and then you will have a camper to travel with afterward.
Just a word of advice. When giving directions, be specific. Almost there or you're close doesn't help. 2 foot, 6 inches is much more helpful. Using a cell phone to communicate is the best way. Congratulations!

Holy crap!! My anxiety went crazy watching this. Growing up in the mountains of Southwest Virginia, this is pretty normal travel for us with gooseneck horse trailers BUT in those days I was in my twenties and I had no fear, now being 52… ohhh hell no, especially with that beast with a big $$$ price tag. Great job guys 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Bro, that whole video kicked my anxiety up to 11. Having pulled long campers in some sketchy stuff, my heart was pounding, and I didn't envy the driver one bit! Glad it's in and safely done. Great job! Well done on the side pull as well. Only thing I was thinking when the camper started going back towards the creek is a 2x12 for the tires. Don't know if it would have helped or not. However, it's in, and now you can get ready to enjoy it!! Great work! The fact only one Effin A was used is impressive, I would have done nothing but cuss!
Sincerely Donald that whole day had my anxiety through the roof!! And since I had not called Regina in a couple hours she already knew something wasn’t going right until I talk to her and said that the RV was stuck!! But we persevered and honestly the guys from Skagit Logistics are top notch!! I don’t know a whole lot of moving companies that would have even attempted what we did let alone had the patience or the problem-solving skills to deal with it once it got stuck. There is a huge part that is missing from the video as we were working so hard to keep it from rolling over into the creek. Lol All I can think of was that’s a crap load of money!! Lol Believe me I was cussing the whole time.
Wow! I've seen riggers move some massive gear into place. This is a whole different animal. Great job not damaging the trailer 👍. When do you think you will relocate ? It seems like an impossible area to navigate solo for sure. It seems like a great spot though
First off thank you so much it was definitely a feat but we did it! This will be our home for the next year while we build our house so I won’t be going anywhere till then. Actually this is our home for the next year while we build our house. Loggers will be coming in soon to continue the driveway but also widening the road to accommodate their trucks which is a win-win for us and was preplanned as it will allow us to move the RV on and off the property without a problem once they are done. Thank you so much! Most definitely the schedule at River is going crazy as is the raging river right next to us. But as we know this is just a part of our beautiful state that we love. Hope you stick around and join us on our journey. Many blessings to you my friend Dusty and Regina
Is a stout RV shed roof going to be placed over that toy hauler to protect it from all the copious debris that are going to be falling and blowing off all those trees around it? If not, that fancy new RV is going to deteriorate and get damaged very rapidly in that environment.
Most definitely! For now I will be spending close attention on the roof maintenance but our intention is to build a structure! Thank you for watching! Dusty and Regina
@@andysnooks8198 nobody buys those any more. So you won’t find any new ones for sale. You have to really look around to find one of those short shorties even used now.

Most definitely there were discussions and planning a month prior and the only downside we could see was a couple days before we had heavy flooding on the driveway which compromised the very edge which is why we stayed away from the edge upon the beginning but at the end we overcame and did it!!

Hope you got the winter /artic package been living in my rv trailer 365 last 4 years winters are something just to keep livable temp and not freeze up Good luck nice looking from outside
Most definitely, and yes, being out here has definitely had its trials and learning curves, but we’re slowly making it. We have now been on the property for one full year and it would have been nice to know a lot of the things I know now. What a awesome adventure for my family though! Sincerely thank you so much my friend! This will be our home for the next year or so while we are dealing with permits to build the house so our TH-cam channel is dedicated to that journey along with some tower crane education which is what I do for a living. Many blessings to you and your family
Glad you got it in there but yeah, just goes to show yah planning and prep before hand saves you from just such hassles. I never would even attempt such a route with a unit that long and a curve that narrow. You could look at it and tell it wouldn't make it without even pulling out the tape measure. 😜😜
I hear you my friend! I always admired those guys that did what you did because a lot of those old logging roads and switch backs were hard enough to get our cranes up let alone pulling those big mobile offices. At least we had rear axles that steer! That day was definitely stressful but we did it! Many blessings to you my friend Dusty

@@foxhollerhomestead looked like it worked great. Challenges like that make people think outside the box.
Looks like there's no need to make the payments. No way the repo guys would ever get that out of there.
😂 too funny! This is not the first time this is come up!!
@@ifyoutip Definitely not gonna happen on my dime!! It’s here to stay!
All I can say is you were blessed to have gotten your trailer up that road! Without getting it stuck or doing damage to it!

Lol

Wow, perfect ending. I was holding my breath too. Team work gets it done!!!

Most definitely I have to agree with you and yes I am a crane operator but I have my CDL and have put trucks in places that they probably should not have been able to go so I totally understand!

but it had a TITE tree grown section that was a no going back deal. it took us several hours to go maybe a tenth of a mile or so? ..... we had to use flashlights to open slider JUST enuf to get to bed ... right in the middle of the " road " !!!! but we finished in am.
it REALLY WAS WORTH THE EFFORT... quiet, beautiful with the valley b low us no fear of dogs running free !! we been back 2 mor x's :) anyway ur comment brought back some great memories !!!! peace. ATB !

I don’t believe the trailers are designed for off-roading!

Have you ever had to back a travel trailer up grade on gravel to get it out of a driveway? I'm pondering if the maneuver is even doable and my purchase decision is weighing on it.
I've done it for a 10,000 pound load on 4% grade.
I just rebuilt my road to get my trailer up the mountain.. will be moving it possibly tomorrow. You give me hope. 😁

Since coming up I’ve built a full metal carport over top full length. I also pressure was every three months. It’s definitely a task but well worth every minute of beauty!

Dusty
That makes a lot more sense. Hope it all works out wonderfully for you.
Sincerely thank you so much!
Blessings to you my friend

😂 this will be our home for the next year while we are building our house.
Loggers will be coming in soon to do their thing but also widen the driveway to accommodate their log trucks which will be a win-win for us in moving the RV on and off the property in the future
@@foxhollerhomestead I figured as much but I pulled RV's cross country. I always would ask myself when I put one somewhere how was someone going to get it out. Congrats man. Just a word of advice. When giving directions, be specific. Almost there or you're close doesn't help. 2 foot, 6 inches is much more helpful. Using a cell phone to communicate is the best way. Congratulations!

#3 🇺🇸 💜🙏🏼💜 👏🏼👏🏼 Fantastic job at the Fox 🦊 Holler Homestead. I gotta admit, my anxiety kicked in. That was so close to not fitting. 😳 Huge step toward the final victory in this beautiful mountain homestead. So happy to be able to follow along with this journey. Blessings to all.

We did it Brother!!!
And you’re right this is a huge step, something that really really stressed me out even before that day but now that it’s up there a huge weight has been lifted off of my and Regina‘s shoulders!
So we give each other a big hug and look forward to the next challenge!
Much love!!
We have gotten so many amazing compliments and responses like this and honestly that was probably one of the most stressful days I’ve had in a long time!!
But as you probably remember when there is a will there is away and we did it!!
So many blessings to you and yours!!

Grew up in the same SW VA mountains. It's the stuff of nightmares for sure.
@@justinevirtue1755 Amazing experiences!!
Please provide their information for Skagit Logistics. Thx! PS: They're awsome!
Kurtis with Skagit Logistics 1 (360) 941-0976! This is the owner and the one driving my trailer to success!!
Lol
All I can think of was that’s a crap load of money!! Lol
Believe me I was cussing the whole time.

That 5th wheel is a permanent landmark now 😆
Actually this is our home for the next year while we build our house.

@@Oldyellor awesome!! Maybe someday we will cross paths! Tell then be safe my friend

Why not use a short one ton truck two door with a flat bed, duh!!!
@@andysnooks8198 nobody buys those any more. So you won’t find any new ones for sale. You have to really look around to find one of those short shorties even used now.

That reminds me of getting the ol’ lady into the church pew. I’ll have to try that bar oil idea next Sunday.
😆too funny!
Undoubtedly there was plenty of advance strategy discussions and pics, prob even a site visit. Nice work.
Most definitely there were discussions and planning a month prior and the only downside we could see was a couple days before we had heavy flooding on the driveway which compromised the very edge which is why we stayed away from the edge upon the beginning but at the end we overcame and did it!!
