So much respect for you, Sifu. You offer this high level information freely because you want the community to benefit. No self interest or greed. Just true martial spirit. Thank you.
Thank you once again for explaining this important differentiation! I realy enjoyed your longer videos and you often promised that some things will recieve a seperate video in the future. You stopped to make these kind of videos and changed to the martial practise videos. This year you started with the proverb series and that made me very happy :-) I hope that you will continue to share content that helps to undertsand the principles and philosophy behind the martial arts. A big thank you to the comunity members for asking questions that helps you to get deeper into the concepts. I am looking forward to another year with your teachings. Good health to you and your family! Thomas Hudecsek
Thank you for all the knowledge and wisdom you share with the community. It is very much appreciated. In relation to future content, it would be wonderful if the Dao De Jing Commentary and Xiu Dao series would be continued. I enjoy learning about, from the Dao De Jing and this series was both fascinating and great help in further understanding. Thanks you again
Thank you Sifu for taking time to answer this question, i wonder if you could elaborate on some of the specific types of postures that would be considered to be JIn Zhuang vs those considered to be Song Zhuang and how long one might practice each type of Zhan Zhuang.
Thank you for your knowledge...I am very interested in applying wu hsing to peoples psychology. and how to view different situations to different elements
Good morning, dear master Hai Yang. Here I some sugestions (notice that is focused on general ideas no useful.for all styles not only Chen style, because I practice Yang style): - Main mistakes of all tai chi practicioners, despite of their style; - Trustful sources (books, schools, TH-cam videos etc), from Western countries and from China; - Benefits and disadvantages of each style; - How to make the tai chi practice become more self-defense; - Energy practice and its correlation with tai chi, and also martial qigong (not only theory but exercises to to at home). Thank you very much for giving us the opportunity to share ideas. Best regards
Dear Master Hai Yang, Thank you for your explanation. If you may, could you give an example the Jin Zhuang exercise based on your experience. Thank you in advance.
Excellent Sifu, thank you. I love the Song Zhan Zhaung, but i wasn't wasnt able to follow your explanation on the Jin Zhan Zhaung. Can you do an episode on how to do these two different styes please? Thank you
Gratitude for sharing this particular topic and for answering the question 🙏 It really answer well and shed a light in the importance of knowing both sides; the concepts and the movements. Your channel is certainly compensating for many situations where there are lack of concept explanations. Thank you.
Xie xie Shifu. It would be nice if you could go into further detail on this topic. In my Wing Chun lineage, we practice Siu Lim Tao (Xiao Nian Tou) using yang and yin energy, and the third section is similar to a QiGong exercise. When I first came into contact with Zhan Zhuang, I immediately felt the exercises were connected, but controversial information is spread about the right posture and body positioning. Looking at this video, I guess part of the issue is there are two forms, a "yang", energetic version, and a "yin", more relaxed version. I would love to learn more about the topic in its entirety. My best regards!
Hello, I recently came across a video by some Beijing wushu guy peddling some Pai Da Bang / metal brush. Would you mind talking about the efficacy of such tools in zhan zhuang, martial art or other practices? Thank you!
We use a metal brush/beater in Shih Shui Kung training. After doing many exercises to generate hormones and energy, we use the beater along the body’s meridians to allow the energy to flow through the body. Followed with Taoist meditation for more moving energy through the meridians. This training requires a qualified teacher!
