Having raised a few dogs from the puppy stage, I can honestly say that teaching them as early as possible to poo outside will train them faster and make life easier and happier for everyone all around. As soon as you think he’s about to go, it’s best to bring him outside immediately and praise him when he goes. The house should be his “clean” zone.
Exactly, I have raised many dogs and have never ever used puppy pads. You are first training them to go on a pad indoors and then you have to train them again to go outside.
Sorry Ali, I don’t mean to be critical, it’s just the way I have trained my dogs and none of them have had accidents in the house with the exception of them being ill.
Have to agree, you'll get them used to pee and poo in the house and they'll think it's fine to do it anywhere. Pee pads are not doing you or the dog any favors.
couldn't agree more! I have a flatcoat and a cross pom-pek and they just go sit at the door to let me know its time to go out. get rid of the smelly pads
@@d.a.jordan3334 I adopted a 1 year old miniature schnauzer, he was trained to go on puppy pads as an adult. It was terrible and took 1 year to break the habit.
Ali! Immediately in the morning, you take him out to pee and poo. I’m talking....you open your eyes and you get him and it’s out you both go (don’t even let his little paws touch the floor) First thing you do with a puppy is get them used to going to the bathroom outside. Throw those disgusting pee pads away now! 🤣. I nearly spit out my coffee when he 💩 in the house. Just like us, they have to go has soon has they wake up. And no, he can’t wait for Lyds to decide on about a walk 😂

Oh I just love little Porter he is so cute. Why did you not take him outside for a poop when you knew he was going to go? It will make training a lot easier as he will be confused that you let him poo inside on the pads but then one day expect him to know to go outside.
Simply because the weather condition, at the point of filming he hadn't been out in the snow and on previous days he was struggling with the cold, following on from this clip after we found him to enjoy the snow he was being let out for the toilet.
You and Porter cuddling is so precious!
Why not open the door to let Porter out and do his business, it's just there! Once you take away the puppy pads (which are sodden!) he'll be encouraged to go on the floor...
In general we do and have been but on the morning of Snow I was waiting for Lydia to decide if she wanted him to be put out in it as the previous days leading up to it he had been struggling with the cold and in his desperation to get back in he didn't want to go. Funnily enough when we let him out later that day he loved it!
@@AliGordon , Put the puppy out, it is his genes to go outdoors, no offense meant but don’t baby him and those pads are a bad idea, I trained my dog to go out every time he ate and now 7 years later he still will ask to go out , it is harder to untrained a dog than to train him, all the best, he will succeed given a chance. by the way my dog was born in winter and it is his favorite season.

What a beautiful start to your vlog!! So magical
In my experience using pre stamped wax foundation definitely makes it quicker as the bees can immediately draw out cells from the foundation and start building up brood in the brood box or filling with honey in the super :) Also they will use the whole space in the frame rather than the more random shapes they create when they build comb themselves. I believe that top bar hives are best for letting them build comb. I am really looking forward to seeing you with the bees. It’s an amazing hobby and it will be the best honey you have ever tasted...especially on a warm day straight from the hive!
I love your videos, the beginning of this was so pretty, you did a great job filming Lumi in the snow and the music you put to it was like being at the movies. I liked the velvet jacket, that was really nice, but I would’ve liked seeing a cut out with you wearing the whole suit with the bow tie.

Ali I’d love to see you do a video for basic men about what ties to wear with what shirts to different events/ mixing and matching different patterns. Like when to match and when not to. Think it would be so helpful

Unsolicited advice or not below, they are correct in my humble opinion. I've trained several puppies myself. If you feel insecure, he will feel it and choose the easiest way out of his needs.

I feel like cinematography is really your strong point, the intro shots are beautiful. You could really tell a story with these types of shots and music, no need for unboxings, vlogs and all the basic youtuber (influencer) content imo. 😊 This would really set you apart. xx
