At first I thought it was just dirty as hell but when the chicks washed it down and it still looked like you were blurring out a naked chick in front of you while driving I knew it was time to get it a new screen! As a single Dad I never asked for additional gifts for my kids. We donate as a family every year to Toys For Tots. I like to buy and gift the small Craftsman tool kits for a male and female teenager. I know the Marines will get them to some deserving young adults. It's not just kids under ten living in homes that are hurting during the holidays. I just finished a 9 day trip on my motorcycle riding around Nevada and California coast. People probably thought I was weird watching your epic Silverwing trip with my phone propped up on my footpeg while I sat on the curb and wolfed down a burrito. Can't thank you enough for being the inspiration to keep it weird. Now I gotta return to life and edit video. Totally worth it!

I loved seeing the Seca! I have an '82 Yamaha XJ750 Maxim, which is the same bike in a cruiser dress. Once you get the carbs tuned right, they're a blast to ride!

The season where they might start spreading road salt at any moment. The season I don't want to put my bike through anymore. Your not really looking thru the windshield. It's just placement of the camera. I ride I can see over mine but in my videos windshield blocks some of the view like Shade's.
Slingshots are cool, was lucky enough to drive one for a bit. I don't consider them Motorcycles but I won't hate on those who love them. Love what ya ride!
I have the same year 1500 as yours and mine started doing the sputtering thing, after researching Goldwing blogs on the net most have agreed probably old, broken vacuum lines below the carbs. Yes, replacing a few suspect vacuum lines my `89 runs like a raped ape! Good luck man!
Every time I see the silverwing, I can't help thinking you should toss on some dirt knobbies on and fab up a skid plate to build a budget off road ADV bike... then take it out to the off road park when Chey gets back on the green dirt bike!

You might already know this but some Silver Wings came with a stereo and I believe the radio pod from the older Goldwings are the same and fit your fairing. Secondly that trunk can be moved back and there's a passenger seat that fits on those. I still can't get over that you have one of these. My Silverwing was the same color too.

Hey Shadetree you should try the lemon with salt hack on Turd Fergusens windshield! Cut lemons in half add salt to the lemon and scrub the windshield rinse and repeat, worth a shot! It worked on my headlights.
I bought the 81 Seca new back in the day, Hella fast 11 sec quarter mile at 128mph, candyapple red with the fairing, magnesium engine guards at night I would scrape them going around a turn at 80mph and put off about 75 foot sparks like a sparkler to cool

My pops had a Seca and I got to ride it around to work a few times. That bike punches above its weight. Shelby's has a seriously sharp looking one. Hope he mends quickly and gets to put it through its paces.
I had a Yamaha 650 and my buddy had a Seca. My big mistake was taking a ride on the Seca. My 650 was forever a letdown afterwards. It was still fun but the Seca had it beat in every single way.
I grew up and bought a Road Glide! Then I realized I didn’t want to be grown up and threw a Redshift 468 cam in her to go with the S&S air cleaner and HPI 2-1 exhaust. She’s no longer a nice girl timid fuck… now she’s a screamer!

I rode the basic model when it was brand new and loved that bike but never rode it on the freeway as it was a friends new bike. I think this bike is more practical than a good heavy duty condom in a cheap Florida strip bar hooker date on a hot Friday date.

I took off for 3 weeks just before Labor Day from SW Ohio to mosey out Route 66 (Westbound, I know) and the Nevada Sierras up the Extraterrestrial Highway for three weeks on my 2004 Honda Helix CN250. Yeah, didn’t know that jetting carbs for altitude was a thing. I had a Honda CM-450 back from 88-91 when I worked in Area 52 & never had altitude problems riding that from Death Valley to over 8000 ft. Got a bike weight question for you though: you said you were driving tilted in the crosswinds on your CA-FL adventure on the Turd Ferguson Jr; how different is handling the crosswinds on a big cruiser or bagger? I was fighting being thrown off onto the shoulder or into oncoming traffic. Btw blew the brand new scooter back tire about the 4100 (tire) mile mark, 500 miles from home, just 7 miles west of the Mississippi River. Wasn’t a spare for a hundred miles! Had to rent and tiw that beast back home. Learned a couple lessons on that trip. Kept warm at elevation though!

This is awesome! My first bike was a 1983 GL650 Silverwing. It was a piece of shit that barely ran but it got me on the road and only cost me $300.
