One thing to change and it'll make u a even greater rider in seconds stop looking at u r front tire look ahead always especially in mountain biking with the go pro on u can tell that u r looking a lot at u r front tire start looking ahead and I promise you your time to get down the hill will change significantly just by doing this one thing cuz everywhere else you r doing great keep it bro..!!!
Yeah this is something I have noticed a few times, focusing on the the front tyre placement resulting poor line choice. Something to work on for 2021 indeed!
Yah I think we've all been guilty of it at some point of our riding career I've raced dirt bikes witch helps to keep u r sights ahead but even then sometimes u get caught up with u r head down and that's us ally when u end up going down lol.!!! Keep it up the more you tell us elf to do something easier it gets and soon it'll be second nature and u won't have to tell yourself your muscle memory just knows to do it.. but I'm pretty sure you will be doing great in no time
eBike all the way!! I'm lucky to have both and love both, but where I hated the ups I now look for more techy climbs too. Just end up doing more for longer!!
I'm looking forward to the different riding experiences that an Ebike can provide! My dad said to me the other day "surely half the fun of mtb is riding up the hills, won't an Ebike take that away?" which made me laugh! He isn't a biker, but hoping I can get him out on one next year so he can see what it's all about. The future is Ebikes!
Great video, but a small bit of advice if you're able to do it. Not sure what setup you got! I'm finding myself trying to look forward on the trails a lot but your camera is pointed quite far down at the ground. If you were able to point it a bit more forward it'd be a lot better I think! Just my opinion though.
Thanks! Yep it is a good place to ride, I'm looking forward to getting back there soon as well. I use trailsforks a lot to help find the trails that aren't as well marked. It's a bit of a pain to keep pulling your phone out, especially if you wear gloves but it works.
I hear so many good things about the FOD looks good but not sure I'd drive all the way from the Peak District for it. If you're faster, go pasta.... Trail etiquette dictates. 👍 Subbed mate always good to see quality footage. You got a full face with cam on?
Hi mate, thinking about going Forest of Dean this week, are the trails signposted or is pot luck which one you end up on?! Did you use chest mound or chin mount for this video?
Yes the official trails were marked but to find the 'off-piste' ones you will need to use the trailforks app. I used a chin mount for this video. It is a great place to ride, enjoy!
Are you aware that "Off Piste" cycling on Forestry Commission land, (most of the Forest of Dean) is prohibited! Swallowvallets and the hardcore cycle tracks are the only areas permitted. Don't shoot the messenger!
forest of dean is not wales its Gloucestershire
Nice vid mate 👍. The Forest of Dean is part of England though.
Ahh thanks for letting me know. I should have checked haha!
You can tell its England compared to South Wales as there is alot less litter and fly tipping.
@@daveandmerlin ouch
@@archiejones7932 unfortunately it's the truth .
Nice mate...love that place...epic trails.
Awesome Video! Keep on riding!
The Forest Of Dean is in the county of Gloucestershire, England! South Wales my ass!
Correct. Pat on the back for you sir!
I live there and it's in Gloucestershire, England.
Yes, I really should have payed more attention during geography class!

Awesome, I'd love to live near there! Hoping to return again soon, would be great to have a guide 👍

@@4KMTBRider yeah he’ll love it. And tbh like I said I now look for more hills. But decents still what it’s about for me!!

Thanks for the advice and feedback. I will try and adjust it for future videos.
Gutted I missed some of those downhill runs. I only tried flatlands and sheep skull
Ahh yeah some more great trails out there to ride. Sheep skull is good though.
Nice vid, I’m hoping to get to FOD soon! Hoping the way markers are improved though-didn’t seem to be any on the way round!

Yeah thats some journey from there. 2.5hrs for me so not too bad. Thanks mate, yes chin mounted on the full face in this video.
@@4KMTBRider 2.5 hours... Not too bad 😱
Don't forget the cafe is for take away only now.
Great vid Mate. This is my local place and you rode it all well for a first time there. 👍
Thanks mate appreciate the feedback. It is an awesome place, can't wait to return!

How old are you mate. That climb isn't that bad.
I am 32. That's subjective...
Bro we are not in Wales! 😂
I know that now. Geography is not my strong point lol
Ha! The closer you get to the border the more important it gets. Just don't go around asking about bears and you should be fine 👍
What app are you using mate??
Great video!!
Thanks, I was using trailforks.
Which app are you using for route guidance ?
I am using the Trailforks app.
FoD, South Wales? Nah mate, it's in Gloucestershire (England)
cheers pal
Can you rent bikes there?
You can indeed
