Lovely how original they kept it. None of that modern BS that ruins nice old houses. I would renovate what needs to be done, but keep is as original as I can.

Couldn't agree more. I love the wooden floors, the original doors, windows. I hope this house gets a new owner with taste, no grey please!!!

Yes, it's lovely. I hope the eventual buyer doesn't ruin it all with tasteless modern dreck.

That’s a good excuse for when you can’t afford to renovate your house.😊

I want this property because it has ground for my children to play in, gardens for me to stroll through, and frontage on the Thames to view and boat in and because it';s a short walk from the high street and only half-hour from London by train.

The grounds, the river-frontage, the proximity to the town and the distance to London are perfect for me and my kids, even though the bedrooms and the bathrooms are a bit cramped. Isn't the price a little steep, considering it is around 37 miles or 1-hour from London, so I'd be paying 5 million for 2.5 acres of land on the river that is 37 miles from London because the house does need extensive renovation.

I loved it. I will keep most of it and give it an update look.

I Loved it!! Even though by current standards it's in need of reburbishment, it looked like it had been a lovely family home with lots of memories. It made me feel a bit sad though when you said it had been in one family for 60 years, as I thought it might be a reluctant sale because the current owner may have recently inherited it, but can not afford the inheritance tax to keep it, which would be sad if it holds a lot of memories.

The only updating that the house needs, is some decent kitchen units. The cellar does NOT need excavating. 🤦🏽‍♀️

A- At almost 60 years of age, my sole interest in a property is to enjoy it, not save on it, provided I can afford all the expenses from my income. I don’t like to accumulate debt. If it’s a very large property, then I could even operate it as a resort, a country club, a boutique hotel, or rent parts of it out as an AirBNB.
B- With 4 children, all under 8 years of age, my interest also is in grounds for them to play on, quality schools for them to study in, environments for them to explore, and neighborhoods for them to culturally, socially, and intellectually enrich themselves with.
C- My sole interests are in the views of and direct pedestrian or metro access to a city, a beach, a river, a lake, or a mountain and either existent or potential multiple, large and wide-open living, social, and recreational venues. I have no interest in history, architecture, artwork or interior décor, etc. My preference is for a well-lighted great-room with towering ceilings, large windows and great views; a large office-cum library with great views; an owner’s suite with a desk and great views; independent rooms for my children and guests; an area for entertainment, another one for recreation, and a third area for socializing, but I’m not very rigid about these preferences. I also prefer masculine Italian and British interiors, but these can also be redone, so not very particular about them. I do prefer different interior palates for different rooms.
D- I want my UK property close to London or Cambridge---a bustling city with lifestyle and intellectual venues. I would appreciate river frontage.
E- I want one of my Italian properties to be in the middle of the city of Milan; another to have direct access to soft, white sand beach with waist-high, warm and crystalline waters; and a third property with a vineyard.
F- Luxury at my age would mean chauffeurs, majordomos/butlers, valets, maids, and maintenance personnel to maintain my properties, yachts and jets. Comforts at my age mean some level of independence via the metro and public transportation options and the ability to operate a part of the property entirely on my own with help from my children , so I’m not hostage to my servants, but a very heavy reliance on staff for creature comforts.
1-I don't like anything small, anywhere, provided I have the funds for its upkeep or the property itself can generate the income for its upkeep.
2- I don't want my primary residence more than half hour from the city.
3- I don't like properties that are in cold regions, unless the intent is to go skiing during winter vacations.
4- I don't want properties in sweltering hot regions, unless the intent is to spend time on a white sand or coral beach with waist-high, warm and crystalline water.
5- I want every property to have large and wide-open, multiple outdoor and indoor living, social, and recreational venues. I also want grounds for my children to play. Quality schools for them to study. Excellent outdoor and night life venues to indulge myself, not too far. I also want intellectuals for socializing. I can't stand under-educated or brash or dumb or low energy or unaccomplished or judgemental people. Unaccomplished and mediocre bums are generally petty, judgemental and ill-wishing because they don't have the inherent intellectual capacity to accomplish anything themselves, so envy those who can accomplish what mediocrity can't even dream of accomplishing. They're naive, dumb and intellectually constricted, so envious, judgemental and bigoted. I can't even stand the mere sights and sounds of mediocrity.
6- I neither like Baroque nor Minimalist interiors. I like a healthy blend of detail to engage the mind, but not too much to clutter it. I like masculine Italian and British aesthetic palates. I don't usually pay much attention to the interior or the structure or the layout because these can be redone, if the property is located in the right place.
7- I want properties in Italy and England.
8- I want my Italian properties to be a penthouse in a Milan(The Exclusive Penthouse with 400qm of terraces over the park, next to the pedestrian precinct), a seaside villa in Sardinia with soft white sand beaches and waist-high, warm crystalline waters( the 26-acre villa in Porto Rotundo, next to the Marinella Beach), a vineyard in Tuscany(the 170- hectare vineyard in Chianti), and, perhaps, a skiing villa in the Italian North(the 3-acre oasis Infront of Lake Maggiore near Stresa)
9- I want my villa in England close to London(the 2.2- acre riverfront villa in Henley-on-Thames).

    Never buy in this area
    Flood prone
If still stubborn, get ideas from the Dutch to build houses that will rise according to the water level

£5 million is a lot of money for a house like this. You need new electricity, heating, the facade has to be done, probably also the roof and the numerous renovation works. Then you would have to make from these small rooms 5 large bedrooms, new bathrooms, floor etc.. So you would probably have to invest £3 million to equip it luxuriously.

Very nice location, and the house could look stunning after some work on the inside, lick of pain on the outside re gravel the drive to the house. I couldn't make out form the areal view or there two properties attached to it. They looked very close. Also does Sunny come with the property 😋.

A lovely home. I just hope whoever buys it appreciates the history and doesn’t impose an ugly modern interior. This happens all the time in London and it should be a crime.
It needs to be further restored to its original Georgian splendour in my opinion with modern conveniences of course.
