As an Australian, who gets excited by a building over 150 years old, I am always amazed by the style and beauty and variety of your homes. And believe me, if I had a spare £10,000.000 I would be there in a flash. We are descended from the Plantagenets and I think that this beautiful home would suit our royal blood superbly.

@@karenglenn6707 your history is fascinating! I used to live and work in Exeter, Devon, so know powerham castle, I didn’t go inside! Although you can! But it has a beautiful location situated on the river.
Would have been nice to see the bedrooms and bathrooms. Next to the kitchen, they are what draw people to a property like this.

A stunning house but it would need completely redecorating. The staircase is amazing. The grounds also have such potential. I cannot believe that a leylandii hedge was allowed! That path should lead to a focal point. How about a Roman portico with a reflection pool? But it leads to just, well, nothing. I would make some of the gardens more formal with more flowering plants, a parterre, a knot garden, rose garden, more topiary and some balustrades, urns, fountains etc. I'd spend millions on the garden basically! But I couldn't live there. Imagine that warren of empty basement and attic rooms after you've watched a horror film and had a few glasses of red wine!

Exceptional? Lool he was fine but we saw maybe a third of the house n spent three mins walking through gardens looking at grass n trees lol like it's so hard to do a speed up,/fast forward effect as he walked to the tennis court instead of just watching trees for three mins...just a tip if they don't let u show the full house..decline n find another one

What a lovely country house, it is absolutely fabulous! I am glad there hasn't been any interior designer to come up with the awful idea of erasing its charm and character by corrupting it with some bland and tasteless modern elements.
I really love what they have done with the house. Really charming in my opinion
Honestly the amount of light that is pouring into those rooms! It give the entire property such a positive and grand feeling.
what can you tell us about the original owner?
Its so so bright! apparently the first ever owners were the Moors...hence Moor place

The exterior of the house is gorgeous as are the surrounding grounds. Inside the layout is has a good flow. The interior design in regards to decor isn’t up to the standard I believe this home demands. The good thing is that can easily be swapped out with the new caretakers.
It's a perfect layout isn't it...The Georgians certainly knew how to design perfect homes

@Tim_prime_property Elizabeth Bennett traveled into Hertfordshire, to visit her friend, Charlotte Lucas, who had married Mr. Collins, rector for Lady.....aunt to Fitzwilliam Darcy, whom Elizabeth married at the end of Jane Austens novel "Pride and Prejudice ". So, this lovely estate could have been visited by Jane Austen, herself. Interesting isn't it, Tim.....e

@@Tim_prime_property I was being exaggerating a tad. My mum has a (c1800+) grade 2 listed house and has to / would have to get permission to do anything major. Grade 1 is even harder...

Lovely building, crass & unimaginative interior design. Doesn’t do any justice to a beautiful Georgian building or some of the antique furniture. Evidentially not the work of an informed Interior Designer. A wasted opportunity.

Where are all the bedrooms and bathrooms? Grade 1 & 2 properties are utter nightmares cant do anything with them due to the WOKE planning regulations and red tape!
