This home shows how easy it is to have all the modern conveniences whilst honouring the home's roots first and foremost. Stripping a home of its original identity is like taking away its soul imho. Lovely English home! I can’t stand the homes every inch packed with a life time of hoarding, you don’t know where to sit or look. Every space is carefully curated, thought out and absolutely lovely.

The kitchen is brilliant love the bar and those pocket doors are crittall is amazing. Love also the entrance as well very charming. The brick is great gives character in the room that otherwise might not be as textural. Cinema room is also very textural and calming even if you just sit in the room is sweet. A bar? interesting indeed. Boot room is smart and organized and transitional if you ever needed storage you have it. Your sitting room is charming love that fireplace you did well I am envious. I would have changed the stairs too I can't stand glass stairwells I don't trust it. Love the downstairs loo brilliant sense of humour :) You have room for a chaise longue in your sleeping quarters but hey some ppl like to have room to walk around why not :) Your home has personality nothing wrong with it as it happens kids are like that it's memories :) A lot of clever designing there :) I was surprised you put the washer dryer in your sleeping quarters but I suppose it would be one of those that's quiet so you wouldn't hear it. Well done Louise and LH very inspirational home nothing wrong with being house proud and in development keeps things interesting :) Not sure I would rent out my home but hey if you are away for periods I suppose it works you must have line up of people wanting to stay in it now ;)
At the second "i'm not gonna show you" I stopped the video and that's it. Please normalise unfinished and messy rooms/houses. The houses are NOT always pretty, tidy, above all with kids. Don't pretend or make believe that's it's easy and quick have a perfect home to show. Rich people have messy home too. Amen!! 🤷🏻♀️

I see what you're saying, but I could see the precaution in having a black one. If it blended in too much, someone may accidentally touch a Hot surface not realizing.
I find it odd when I hear people say they cook while entertaining. My food has got to be prepared and sitting in a serving dish on the island for consumption. I don’t want my guest smelling food in the process of cooking nor do I want the fan and steam all up in their faces and making noise in their ears. Also, I want to be in a relaxed host position so that I can serve drinks, or be part of the conversation and not focused on making sure the food isn’t burnt. I have a my sink by the window and washing dishes and loading the dishwasher is a dream, looking out into the back garden. If I couldn’t have the sink by the window, the island would be the next place so I can see people while doing dishes or watch television if in a great room setting. I use my sink more than the stove top so the stove top in the island, is a no go for me.
How do people always walk barefoot in their home these days? I would lose half of my toes by the end of the first day, because of furniture corners and stuff.
The rear extension, back garden and main bedroom left me cold. I wouldn't want to lie in bed and stare at the walls or sit in the garden without flowers/and or joy. A house for city professionals with too little time, too much money and pretend artistic inspiration.

By and large, the architecture is based on the idea of simplicity, similarity, and the overall interior colour says that it's suitable for only tidy people
I find it funny when these women take credit for the interior design when they clearly worked with a company, who did all the actual work. The extent of their involvement was pointing and pictures, choosing colours and answering yes/no to questions presented by the interior design company. I also highly doubt she funded any of this and it was paid for by her well paid husband

The entranceway is beautiful. Why is everyone putting in those awful looking farmhouse sinks? They remind of some type of pig trough.
Notice the useless cupboards above the sink at the ceiling. They are totally useless for storage and she said as much.
I’d actually probably use them to store kitchen towels, oven mitts, cloth napkins, etc!
