They should have just let Jordan speak for the entire show. He’s the only one out of all of them qualified to explain the reasons for the behaviour. The rest of the politicians clearly are only interested in being re-elected. If you listen to what they said they added nothing of value to the conversation at all.
@@crazedscot4248 There is a really strong link between violent criminals coming from fatherless homes. Doesn't mean everyone that comes from a broken home is going to stab someone, obviously, most won't. But if you're a male violent criminal the chances that you come from a broken home are really high. Thomas Sowell talks a lot about this, worth looking up!
@@everyman1 fatherless is strongly linked with lack of oppurtunity which peterson did talk about. had he been given more time he wouldve bought it up, positive male role models in the youths upbringing.
@J S Lol I'm happy to discuss the effects of fatherless kids. I was trying to add to the discussion, pertaining specifically to stabbing. My point was: although a lot of these kids came from broken homes most kids from broken home are not arrested for stabbing. That was the extent of my comment. Also I'm certainly not too sensitive to discuss the wider issues. Ihate men who cheat. I won't associate with cheaters. I know how damaging a broken home can be.
Am I the only one that gets filled with joy when I see Jordan Peterson? He's like a breath of fresh air in the otherwise dark and murky waters of public debate.
Come to the black neighborhoods and actually talk to the people who live there,it'll be found that many of us supported stop and frisk,as we were /are the main victims of crimes...black on black.
What exactly do they mean by "knife crime"? Do they mean violent crime using a knife as a weapon? Or does that include other crimes like carrying a knife with a blade longer than 3 inches?
Brits and most of Western Europe (plus Canada) have been politically oppressed to the point where a majority of citizens have become docile...perfect victims by the way.
What exactly are the dangers of over-analyzing Kwasi? It's more efficient to continue being reactive and talking tough on crime, rather than to take the time to be thoughtful about it? Frightening levels of denial and ignorance here.

Absent fathers must surely be one of the root causes but none of the panel dares to broach the issue.
Most of us were raised in broken homes. Most of us aren't stabbing

Since carrying a knife in uk is illegal i guess it would be included.

A multi-factorial analysis should include race, no?
Race tends to correlate rather than cause. The causes are cultural and socioeconomic.
Differences in average IQ and impulse control between races are likely causative.@@garywood97

I hate this debate format. Too many guests and too little time to go into anything deep.
Daily racism from the indigenous host population breeds the anger and resentment that leads to this in the dis-united Kingdom.

Stop and search is a violation of human rights, period.
So's being stabbed ..
I agree. But if it's the only thing that stops the stabbings I don't care

Stabbing someone is illegal.

If millions of people get stabbed, it still doesn't justify stop and search.
No it’s not reasonable suspicion is needed to search
