Hey Phil, your round 3 RG Init opponent here. I was eagerly awaiting this vid to see your side of the match, and it did not disappoint. #gottem with the Emrakul :D
This is awesome! Always love painter! With that said, I really want to see that rabbit DnT deck on the channel! Just sent a donation decklist (well, without the list) for it. Hope that's alright!
Your round 4 opponent using the talon gates to force the welder activation before the Endurance was a really heads up play. Props to them, they played really well.
17:53 As a Goblins player, I'm always happy when my opponent goes "What the fuck is this?" when I they see many of my cards XD DnT is often in a similar situation, with both being Vial Toolbox decks, with silver bullets that no one else may even consider playing. 20:26 You: "I'm not into Pyroblast currently." Your deck: "I said we Ancient Tomb and Pyroblast today!"
Editing felt much more comfortable on this video than the last few. Still seems just a tiny bit faster than what's been the norm, but I could be imagining it. Great video as always!
Phil, one of the reasons you are one of my favorite content creators is because of your stellar editing. Not sure how it is improving but I’m excited to find out.
The only thing I see is the space where he wouldn't be talking is being cut. So the content has a feeling of continuously rolling, which I am actually a fan of!
I’m also interested to see the funny bunny DnT deck! The editing looks great! The only thing is it seems the rounds aren’t showing up sectioned out for seeking. But I see them in your description, it’s just not as convenient. This was a fun deck! Always fond of painter!
The editing seems to be on the edge of cutting out too much. I am happy with this. Ideally I would prefer a bit more breathing room between sentences. Cutting more would get annoying, I think.
I've been running the Agatha version, with only 1 painter, grindstone, and Bauble and added 3 broadside bombardier, 1 one ring, and 3 fury 😅😅. Its been working 💪
The editing is the the best it's been post program update. I think I even like this better than the pre program update editing. Comments are tight enough to cut out all the dead air but still comfortable to the ears. 😊
I didnt watch the battle of wits video bc i didnt want to see a cool fun meme idea get smashed for a whole league, but now that i know you ran hot with it and can see how well you did with it, and that smirk says it all, i HAVE to watch it now and am so fucking excited >:333 ty for plugging that content cuz now im so looking forward to seeing it's utter ridiculousness in action and winning in the coolest ways :3 The only other time ive seen battle of wits in action is in pennydreadful. and it can actually be ridiculously funny there too and do well. or it can totally fall apart. but anything goes in PD leagues including lutri so yeah.
Like 3 years ago you played a string of painter decks and I was just starting to follow legacy. Now I’m only 2 painters away from having the deck built!
R3 opponent with the cheeky sideboard tech has similar feelings on the metagame to yours, it would seem. Also +1 on rabbits and taxes, that list looked dope.
The lightning bolts could be 1x Soul Caldron, 1x Devourer. It has most of the graveyard hate benefits of Unlicensed Hearse and you aren’t going as deep on your own graveyard.
at 34:19, i think holding the pyroblast until the end of their main phase, hoping they commit to the kill and miss the opportunity to play the second broadside precombat could’ve bought you the extra turn to go for grindstone
When you have both Goblins online, I usually Welder first, since this happens at no mana cost. If they respond, I can then activate Engineer in response to.
I would expect the space between sentences is going to come down to personal taste, and it looks like that's bearing out based on the comments. I personally feel like it's an improvement from prior videos, but it's a hair too fast. I would like just the smallest bit more air between cuts, maybe .15 to .2 seconds.
The increase of speed in commenting is a bit tiring from the regular edits. So far I do not like the rapid speed of commenting. It makes the video unwatchable on anything besides regular speed.

Good sideboard card was good!
Would like to see when players start to side in soul guide lantern against gruul stompy
r1g2 - wow, great play with the priority hold. stuff like this is why you're one of my favourite legacy content creators out there

Or RnDnT
Death and Carrots
That deck was definitely insanely sweet
@@freya002YT lol, love the deck name

21:57 Never knew Pyroblast had upsides vs. Red Blast. Fascinating!
That second round rabbit deck was really interesting
I'll be playing it tomorrow!
@@ThrabenUniversity Sweet! 🐇

They are working on my end. I wonder if you started watching right before the video finished fully processing or something. Thanks!
They are working now! Just classic phone glitches. 🤷♀️ Thanks again for the great video!
I liked the extended outro / analysis
Awaiting for the Death & Rabbits video lol

It's always awesome to see you having fun with the matches. 10/10, great video
Love the evaluation and explanations. Thanks Phil and best wishes!
Love seeing my favorite Legacy deck on the channel. I like the pacing of the editing in this video too.
16:16 this is one of the best (and versatile) legacy players in the online domain.
Jeg like this editing style. When I watch any MTG gameplay I allways have YT on 2x speed to save time, and this editing style helps with that.
this is making me feel so much better about the playset of goblin engineers i bought when the card came out
Glad you're getting that Game 2 decklist! Looks fun.
@2:45 An in-depth deck tech analysis? YASS. S'why I show up Every. Single. Video. 🤘
G2 opponent is brewing!
Love the outro deep dive analysis on Painter!
Phil, I need rabbits and taxes in my life.
love seeing thraben play combo! an old mtg buddy of mine put me on him ^^

Not a member, but I've been watching for quite sometime - the editing seems great! Keep it up, Phil :)

The video was great, honestly.
What a stream of interesting plays. Very skill intensive as well.
Like 3 years ago you played a string of painter decks and I was just starting to follow legacy. Now I’m only 2 painters away from having the deck built!
Yooo, love to hear that.
R3 opponent with the cheeky sideboard tech has similar feelings on the metagame to yours, it would seem. Also +1 on rabbits and taxes, that list looked dope.
I love the new editing personally!
how do you feel about Karn, the Great Creator in Painter?
I'm not a fan, generally speaking. I don't think it is worth the mana in this relatively efficient deck.
The lightning bolts could be 1x Soul Caldron, 1x Devourer.
It has most of the graveyard hate benefits of Unlicensed Hearse and you aren’t going as deep on your own graveyard.
Been saying this since I saw bauble for the first time. Painter looks so good in the meta.
Sick last game that was really tight my guy
Editing had less cats on stream than I would have liked. Otherwise seems fine to me
at 34:19, i think holding the pyroblast until the end of their main phase, hoping they commit to the kill and miss the opportunity to play the second broadside precombat could’ve bought you the extra turn to go for grindstone
This makes me want to pick up jacked rabbit for my Adeline edh deck lol
Awesome video, thanks!
On 37:01 you used welder instead of engineer to play around faerie macabre, surgical, endurance, etc ?
When you have both Goblins online, I usually Welder first, since this happens at no mana cost. If they respond, I can then activate Engineer in response to.
It's surprising how often you're able to hardcast the oneof chaos defiler in this deck. Why not put in two? 😅
It's reasonable to play a second, but they aren't good in the early game AND can just be tutored with Engineer.
that r2 deck is dope
1:02:40 the 61 special 🤓
Am I going to be that guy? sure......... So anyway we started Blasting.

Rabbit tribal legacy DnT deck list NOW or we riot!
Wascally Wabbits!
🍭 Love me some Painter
Would it be worth playing one Wishclaw Talisman as a way to tutor up non-artifact spells with Goblin Engineer?
I've seen it before, but I don't know that the deck needs more tutors since comboing is a PART of the deck instead of the primary plan.
Nice
ggs❤
Clearly this deck needs 4 REB, 4 Pyroblast and 4 Null Elemental Blasts to deal with the Frog!
The increase of speed in commenting is a bit tiring from the regular edits. So far I do not like the rapid speed of commenting. It makes the video unwatchable on anything besides regular speed.
As a head up, I am making content that I assume will be watched at regular speed.
telling yourself "that's good content" after losing a close game is very much like sports fans betting against their team.
Or it's good sportsmanship and recognition of a good game.
Don't love the constant stream of commentary
Then turn down the volume 😐
You do realize that I cut out all the dead time from the video, right?
@@ThrabenUniversity Yea not a huge fan unfortunately
Consider muting the video, the commentary and the reasoning for the plays is why most of us are here.
@@Zauzzie I like Phil's commentary, I was talking about the speed increase in his editing.
