I have Seaver King as a top 10 pick here’s my argument. Seaver King came from D 2 program Wingate which is one of the top schools in D2 he hit 411 there and a 47 game hit streak 11 homers 13 steals. He has 65 plus speed. He’s added 20 lbs at 195 and probably could add another 10 to his frame. He’s a line drive hitter now but will probably learn to elevate his swing for more power. I see his floor being 280 20 Hr 20 steals while playing 4 position solid to excellent . Especially in CF. Also you can get him under slot and save a million - 1.5 million. Y’all are sleeping on him calling him a “utility player” he’s going to be a solid MLB player. Also has an excellent demeanor . In an mlb article they comp him to Mookie Betts if he maxes out.

you think Wetherholt could slip outside the top 5? wouldnt mind the Sox taking Smith, or Burns but the rumors in chicago are Cags or Griffin at 5. i think im preferring Konnor Griffin first and then probably Burns or Wetherholt
Dude 2 Prep Bats for the Royals? You must be one of the “Royals this year are a mirage” guys. The Royals have only taken 3 Prep Bats in the 1st the last 10 years and one of them was the no doubt, slam dunk pick of Bobby Witt in that Draft so that hardly counts. They also have a new Scouting Director and with that comes Organizational Philosophical change. If the first 5 go as you think here I don’t see them passing up on Hagan Smith. While they have 2 Top 100 capable Prospects in Gavin Cross and Blake Mitchell on the position player side the Pitching side is nearly bereft with the only possible high upside Starter above A ball being Chandler Champlain. Smith adds a top end SP Talent to a system that desperately needs it while possibly being ready for his debut in the 2nd half of next year if he’s as polished and moves as fast as most Scouts think he will. With Smith at 6 Lindsey at 39 makes more sense but 1 of those picks needs to be a College SP…
If the draft plays out like it does here, picking Smith will be a drafting for need and not BPA. Smith is an ok pitcher but not a better player than Griffin.
