She's running great!!!!! You should try putting commom rail injection on a Detroit! A guy did it to a 8v92 on "OL2Stroker" youtube channel using Duramax injectors. Thanks!
@@detroitgarage9430 om617 is on the weak side the usual suspect for a swap is a om606 with a P pump, the people that like modern technology go for the om 613 and 648 with the commonrail. I wouldnt worry about the weight of a detroit in it, I am a bit more worried about the detroits power... I dont think she will plane with it... but only one way to find out...
@@don_prince The OM606 would be perfect, but finding one for a decent price is another thing. I already have a running 617 T, so I'll give that a go and see if I like it.
Little Jimmy sure starts nice with the 21:1 N pistons in it. I swear it makes more noise from the blower/intake than from the tailpipe. Any oil analysis yet?
On the dyno it was burning 1 gallon an hr. In the forklift it is a fuel miser, I'm not sure what the consumption is but not much.:) Maybe 1/2-3/4 gallon an hr would be close.
👍she seems to run clean with little visible smoke
Yeah, should call this a fuel miser.:)
Cool concept, detroit powered vehicle and machine helping to rescue other detroits ))
True, Detroits helping Detroits.:)
Love your videos, look forward to seeing everyone of them
Thanks.:)

Yeah Jason's Fat cab is pretty sweet. He's running two CP3 pumps from a Duramax from what I gather, very nice setup.:)
That bayliner is begging for a detroit (and we are too 😉)
Lol, I would love to swap a Detroit in but they're just too heavy and too large. I've found an OM617 for it, so that's a swap for the future.:)

Yeah it runs real nice, no oil analysis yet, might take a sample in another 10-15 hrs.
Hey. We run a bunch of 471s in terex scrapers. Where are u located. Need some motors rebuilt
I'm in Kelowna, BC.:)
Speaking of fuel how many gallons per hour of diesel does it go through? Anyways Thanks for the update video cheers
