That's not just a "starting an old abandoned car" video but a rescue of a vehicle that deserve go back to road. It's perfect for towing, doing offroad, enough space for 5 persons in a modern car without the annoying 2024 electronics. That's a good deal!
I have one here in the UK. 2003 2.9CRDi manual. Had it eight years and counting: beautifully built, totally dependable, nice to drive and here can tow 2800KG's, which is a good match for my car trailer. Really like it: no nonsense, just gets on with it.
That looks like an almost new car. I have never seen one of these before, nice big 4cylinder engine. No smoke at all either. That looks like a great truck and good for towing.
The Terracan... incredible vehicle. I had one for almost 9 years and only had problems with the damn Delphi injections. Once they were changed, for new ones with the new specifications, the only thing was to do maintenance every 10Mkm and add premium diesel. It's a shame it hasn't been manufactured more. Greetings from Argentina, a tear fell from having seen such a beautiful vehicle and the good results it gave me. 🇦🇷 ❤ 🇰🇷
Never saw this model before,i kinda like the design and its very well cared to the year it is. I noticed the noisy engine before, when u service that oil it was a major diference. It still have much life to give to a new owner. Great video like always.
The car was imported to Latvia in 2016, failed its first inspection for worn tyres and rusted brake lines. Then month later it passed the inspection with only 2 small problems - some cracks in the windshield and minor oil leak. I guess it went to Estonia not that long after. KM-1637 was the registration plate number in my country for this baby.
@@Hi_there_1226 I mean more along the lines from new to 2016. All Terracans were made in Korea but this looks to have been an EU spec vehicle. My guess is that it came from a western EU country like France or Germany.
I currently drive one of these in my country (Chile). Same 2.9 crdi, 5 speed manual (but mine is 2007). 7 seater, as it was the previous family car, with 233k kms and still going strong. Ideal for large families, road trips and offroading. Thanks for saving this one and giving her a new lease of life
Absolute TANK of a car, i had one just like the one in the video (same engine and transmission) but face lift model and it gave me 0 issues but sadly i had an accident and the car was total loss but i'm saving to buy another one. To me one of the best cars hyundai has ever made

There are neighbours near us that have a Grand Cherokee Limited 3.1 diesel probably sitting like 10/12 years in one place not moving, was asking if they were selling it, but they didn't wanted to sell it still. The car looks very clean for its years of sitting, but unfortunatlly they will scrap it someday.
My dude took over his old man's business and works as a mechanic and has seen a lot of J3-TDI engines like that car. he said It is quite durable enigne and if you replace consumables like engine oil on time, there is no serious problem at super high mileage. and i think thats true. my another friend have terracan as well, and he is not a type of car guy so he really dont spend a lot of time on maintenancing his car, but it still runs great anyways.
