So, I'm not too familiar with how raising ranks goes in SFV, but why isn't Brian a Warlord? It feels like every time I watch a video of his, he's usually 1v1ing warlords or going on 10+ winning streaks in comp
warlord takes an extraordinary amount of time to get, there are only a few who have grinded that out. Of the best players in the world who play ranked, most are either grand master or ultimate grand master. If you want to get warlord, you have to focus solely on getting warlord
I just use warlord for clickbait the rank doesn't really mean much lol
Brian had to make a new account when he swapped to PC so that’s going to give him a lower rank than he “should” have. Plus as the person above said, the amount of LP required just to graduate from UGM to warlord is more than the amount of points it takes to get from rookie to I believe diamond or so. Add the fact that the population at ranks that high is very small, meaning games aren’t as plentiful as lower ranks, turns warlord into a matter of pure grinding that most people don’t have the time for
To get to Brian's rank you need 100,000 points. To get one step higher to warlord you need 3x that 300,000. At that rank majority of players you face off against are lower rank, so it becomes a grind of farming lower-ranked players for points. The only thing between Brian and Warlord rank is time

Brian, I have a question. Why do you trow ex fireball with Oro in neutral, when it takes little damage, doesn't give oki, and you're not even plus after a dash? Most of the times you do that, it seems like a waste of resources, and in this video it even robbed you of a chip-kill around the 4:50 mark

Sadly, Rose is down near the bottom as well. She's fun, but she's really got some issues...S5 seemed to err on the side of caution overall, and then...LUKE.

@@in4mus85 I ain't even gonna contest that. I love the character and I always have. I love her still in 5, but I have to work massively harder for my wins than I have to even on Gill, who's also fairly bad, and Lucia, who has always felt extremely middle tier to me. Tbh, after tons of practice and lots of matches as Rose, I'm still getting easier and more consistent wins with characters I've barely even played.
@@antonsimmons8519ou know it’s really a shame that rose is as bad she is because she’s a really fun character to play it’s just that like you said in order to win with her you have to work so damn hard. It’s saying a lot that you don’t have to work as hard with gill considering he is also not that good lol. Me personally I like playing as Menat. She’s got some really saucy stuff and is one of the most complex characters in the game which makes her fun imo. I really hope to see her return at some point in SF6

Which one, v trigger 1? It lets you dash through your opponent to the other side, extend combos, his flip becomes invincible and lands on the other side, some moves like his inferno get slightly powered up etc. It's a really good v trigger.

You can neutral jump on reaction and get a jump-in combo, or just interrupt it and beat his ass, he can do some left/right mix ups with ex fireball tho

Here's hoping SF6 isn't built around super slow normals that cover long ranges, are deceptively safe, have priority, can combo off counter or regular hit, causes crumple on counter...
I've play Chun since ST days, over half of my game is st.fierce. If only I could get the same conversions of st.fierce :/. I do play Rose and Poison too, so I can't talk there. Still think dictator is worse than those two though, especially Rose.
Now that we’ve seen quite a bit of gameplay of SF6 over the course of 2 closed betas what are your thoughts on it? Personally I’m super hyped for it SF6 I got in both betas and had a ton of fun, I really like the new drive gauge system. Mechanics like drive rush make it feel like so much is possible combo wise

Characters are low tier until SOMEONE finds tech. I can’t count how many times a character was “bad” or “low tier” then someone finds a way to play them and STOMPS. The they magically get replaced.
I believe In Tiers to a extent. I think it has more to do with the player and how their play style and personality come through the character.
People like analyzing the game like bots playing a TAS run. That’s why certain people (I’m not saying names) have been top players for years across multiple games. Because they just play and have fun.
I don't know if I'm convince about oro being low tier. Oro has good vtrigger pressure, zoning, corner carry, and good dmg output. Plus with Brian behind it, it's a whole new beast. xD
He suffers from the same problems Ryu has, mostly. Stubby normals, uninspiring walk speed and being in the second worst Street Fighter game to rely on fireballs in. (Most of the cast has effective anti-fireball tools that can get around oro's zoning... but third strike parry makes projectiles a joke so this is slightly better). His win condition is his V Trigger, and the rest of the match is a struggle until he gets it... But he's living proof that just because a character is low-tier doesn't mean they're not a ton of fun to play, and damn can he make some highlight reels.

It’s hard to say, it’s contextual to a current fighting game, where tiers aren’t quite so rigid.
I don’t think people are explaining the situation well. It’s not that Oro is strictly a bad character, it’s that he has more matchups where he has to apply strong pressure and mixup game.
The micro walk weave Brian does can get really tiring when you’re constantly judging spacing. Other characters have the benefits of easier safer pressure options. Oro’s punish game can just be very dominating if he’s in control.

Like I get where your coming from but the thing is Brian is making him look way better than he actually is and this is actually a pretty bad matchup for oro, bison is way better and yet he still made every single match competitive but if you notice he had to work way harder to get damage than the bison player did
