There are players who try to send a message by not respecting the opponent, even in disadvantageous positions. There are also players who just, won't accept the fact that they are in a disadvantageous and will try to break out of that position out of recklessness. There is also a chance that maybe this guy was willing to lose health/rounds/matches for the sake of knowledge. Maybe he was trying all things possible to know what he can and cannot do.
I've done that last before. I lost round after round learning how a certain player would react to things I did. I whiffed and unsafe-threw everything in my kit in every situation, just to see what worked and didn't...and then I had gathered enough info, and it suddenly went from me always losing to this person, to me absolutely stomping his ass repeatedly. Sometimes losing is the best way to learn to win.
People get impatient. It's a zoning thing. Same deal I get with Rose doing setups. People get anxious and try to fight through it, or they see you closing in and get scared of the throw.

I’ve learned that it’s not about not caring about winning, in the sense that it’s not that your goal shouldn’t be to win, it’s that you need to not care too much whether you win or lose. Like, when I’m playing I’m playing with the goal in mind to put forward all my effort and try to win, but at the end of the day I really don’t get worked up over whether I win or lose because I’m not playing to win or lose, I’m playing to play, and when you play your goal is inherently to win, but at the same time you’re not going to work yourself up over whether you win or lose. Of course, winning is exhilarating and losing isn’t exactly a positive outcome, but at the end of the day it’s not that big of a deal. You can play to win with a healthy mindset on winning. Your version of caring about winning sounds like you put way to much important on winning. You don’t need to care about winning less, you just need to quit giving it so much weight and have such an emotional viewpoint on the outcome of a game. That’s what it feels like to me anyways, but as you’re aware I’ve never met you and just watch your videos lol. I felt like God was telling me to post this on the video, idk why he wants me to though lol. Well, I don’t know the outcome of such a situation anyways, but I guess that’s not really any of my business as far as I’m currently concerned. Maybe it’s just to have me do it when I’m asked even though it’s a TH-cam comment section and people will feel the need to ridicule you for bringing up anything that even smells like they’re saying God had anything to do with it.
