I recognized it too. I think the ambient track that plays in mission 3 of the First Homeworld game would have been more fitting. You know, the opera one.
For lore I could imagine an empire forming from the plethora of habitable moons around Jool that for some reason were never colonized back in the "dead" kerbol system, where Laythe and Val are all habitable (maybe tylo too)
combine the lore of the mods and base game together and think about it and it becomes very sad. the kerbals are forced to abandon their old homeworld, eden, and start from nothing again. they thrive for a couple billion years and are forced to abandon their home again. they flee to another planet, watching as their original homeworld is destroyed, and their last one burnt to a crisp. they then have to leave even that world, and go to an entirely unfamiliar solar system, then starting all over again
The most recent beyond home trailer (4) uses the saddest song I am aware of to show off the mod and how the Kerbals have to constantly leave their world. if you haven't watched it already, I suggest that you do :)
For the most part, I guessed accurately at what planets where witch sense I saw a review of the "after kerbin" mod and saw that Eve was being destroyed leaving kerbin to be the first planet of the system. Duna was also obvious from that mod and Jool, well it's the only "gas giant", or the only one with a green atmosphere, so it obvious as well.
I made this trailer for those who never played AfK, and are coming from stock. It is quite simple to figure out but some people never even visit the planets!
I expected the planets to be melted, then completely frozen again, as you'd expect from a star reaching it's maximum brightness then dimming down into a white dwarf. Is there any explanation as to why these planets still have heat, despite kerbol being a white dwarf which wouldn't be able to heat them up that much? The lava lakes on Kerbin, for example, should've solidified, creating large expanses of almost perfectly flat ground? What's preventing that from happening, or are you literally just excersizing your creative liberty? Or is the lore that Kerbol has JUST collapsed back down, not giving them enough time to cool off? If that's the case then where's the planetary nebula? Regardless of some of the unrealistic changes, the mod looks awesome! I'll be getting it once I completely swap to my now superbuffed desktop. Hopefully I can actually run EVE at anything greater then 2 fps.
Kerbol has just died down again. The skybox wasn't used in this trailer, but the entire skybox is a vast nebula from the remnants of Kerbol. Laythe has heat because it's heated by tidal forces by Jool. Eeloo was semi colonized but it failed, so it has a breathable atmosphere but its temperature is incredibly low. I hope you enjoy playing the mod!
N O I C E . Just a question tho , I see that some planets are way different in this pack than in after kerbin (wich is normal for some , kerbin for exemple) but some have changed in a way they couldn’t realistically have changed into (laythe) . Not saying this is bad or anything , just asking , the mod is still magnificent !
Laythe is heated by Jool/Janus' tidal forces which maintains its atmosphere and water. Sure, laythe now has more water than Aridos does but that is still possible if a comet hit it.
If they orbit a white dwarf, how do they still have water? Laythe always had some black magic going on, but Duna/Dynasty? And for that matter, how are the atmospheres not frozen?
When I put all the required mods in to the gamedata folder including the beyondhome folder when I launch the game it doesn’t work for some reason. Plz help

Seriously. Thank you so much for making this. Time for another Career Playthrough.
Can Confirm. Runs better than Stock. And is absolutely stunning.

Its called Janus, not Jool. At least on this mod.
@@gurrenlagannsc8658 Yeah, I've always wondered why the names change for every mod along the timeline.

Post a screenshot of your gamedata folder either on the forum thread for Beyond Home or the Kopernicus discord server.
How do you post a screenshot on the forum.
