Absolutely the best. I always liked Tagliavini in this aria, with that heart-breaking vunerability. You get all that here plus a fabulous high B at the end. The guy is just a soul man, singing with his heart, great storytelling, what it's all about. High 5s
I think it is 1.5 miles at least...such a beautiful timber of voice, stretch and elevate without limit, and so passionate...where can we find another one now!
they don't really share the same kind of voice. Domingo never sang Wilhelm Tell/Rossini, Fisichella was no Othello. Domingo never sang on stage Bellini as Fisichella did. And Domingo was famous for his interpretations with the voice what Fisichella was not.

From the very first note I was captured this is a very difficult aria and requires much colour and finesse Gigli is the King of this Aria unequaled by all but this is still beautifully sung and doesn’t avoid the top note which most tenors who are famous today do
It's really not about what you have, but how you can sell it. Pav and Domingo were able to cash in on their talents much more successfully than the great Fisichella.
His voice is almost too expressive. You can't get over the first emotional impact of his singing before another one comes ... then another ... by the end of the aria, you're more drained than the singer who is professionally trained to keep his cool ! It's really difficult to mess up this phenomenal aria.
An inexcusable crime that this great tenor was not a regular at the Met. What did they do - throw him a few crumbs 4 or so performances in I Puritani when Pav could only embarrass himself in the role?? Vergogna!
This man is a very thoughtful singer and his interpretations are always well prepared and superbly sung. I admire his artistry.
he, together with Laforese, are/were underrated and unheralded majestic tenors.

buena interpretación de una de las áreas mas nostálgicas del maestro cilea y por cierto dramática bravo maestro Fisichella
Never heard anyone sing it this good since Tito Schipa! This is Bel Canto! Bravo!
Grandissimo !!!
Splendida voce!
Magnificent
Magnifico,emotional and a class of interpretation,splendid Fisichella.
Unico, davvero!
Oh, what a superb performance. He had it all. Thank you for this video.
I noticed more than one of comments, please don’t ever compare ANY (singing) artist, the all have their own capacities..... 🙏🙏🙏
Great singing great voice
Bravo ! émouvant et magnifique !
Bravo!!!!
Thank you 🤗
Such feelings this is how it should be sung
Un grande !!!
GRANDIOSO
¡ Maravilloso !
One of the great, great, yet unheralded Italian tenors of history. Beats the overrated Domingo by a mile!

well said, totally agree, yet he is less known, I am very disappointed and surprised same time at this.

Pobres Domingo, Pavarotti y etc.
Yes, they certainly did pay agents to super-hype them & create, then perpetuate, a giant hoax (except for the younger Pav, who was darned fine).

el agudo no fue en mascara, al estilo Luciano Pavarotti, pero fue una buena presentacion.
Constricted and aspirated nasal and caprino . Wow not so good at all
mister opera, go to your channel. don not make a shit here
Oml, get out of here with that shit.
Bravo!!
