This was very informative and educational. It's a great communicator for those getting started with their projects. The equipment pays for itself vs labor costs. Good stuff.
on your open cross beams gap //put on bottom side slide in 2x2 0.25 carbon steel angel iron-- fit up in and weld top and bottom use 1/4 think 2 inch for any support
Great job. I would weld plates on both sides of the transition for the dove tail. All of the weld joints in the same place will make this a weak area. What happens is the welds won't break, the base metal on both sides of the weld will tear.
It works great....there are others that I like. The other SSimder that did aluminum was better but they discontinued it. Lincolns and millers are Way way overpriced. this one is on special for like 229 right now. There is one from Vevor that works great too. mig 250. If you have little or no experience welding there is the bestarc. it only takes a small spool of wire but it is so easy to use. it only has 1 nob and does automatic wire speed. it is like 169 or something like that. I did a review on it. takes gas and flux core. Probably the best deal right now is the vevor for all around. For sheet metal I dont know about this simder. it is great for thicker metals but It does not come with anything for the .6mm wire. It would probably work and my favorite is the simber 250d which they stopped selling for some reason. If you just want to start welding I would go for the Bestarc. Cheap and you can upgrade it later. If your doing larger projects the small spool will get irritating. I may throw a .06 feed roller in this simder and see if it will do sheet metal since they stopped selling my favorite.
Yea I would never buy a lincoln or a miller today. they are super high priced. depending on your price point I like the ones I suggested. I may upload a video on the latest ones I like for the money.

Really nice job as always Mike, looks like a very functional, well thought out layout. Can't wait to see it in action!
