After watching this (and a bazillion more) review and demo of the RF 85 f/2 Macro IS STM I'm super excited to get mine, which should be here tomorrow! I am new to mirrorless shooting, I upgraded and downsized from the Canon 6D MkII to the EOS R, the same camera you used in this video. And speaking of this video, it was very entertaining and informative. The model is gorgeous and your western theme was super cool! Five Thumbs Up!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thats awesome! Getting a new lens is always exciting! I hope it helps you realize your artistic vision. Thank you for watching and for your kind thoughts!
Nice video. I like the pictures, but some of them seem too bright on my phone. I'll watch it again on my PC screen. 😉 it's been very nice to see how other photographers are acting on a Portrait shoot. Great Job. 😉
Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment and for watching! Yes you'll find I lit her a little on hot side. This is something I do when I don't want to do a lot of skin retouching after the shoot. It's not your phone. Keep Shooting!
Nice pictures and just wondering why to shoot at 5.6 and ISO 400, when you have flash and can capture the ambience light by lowering your aperture or may be just don't use the flash out and give it natural look?
Thank you! It's true you're options are many with a camera like the "EOS R" and an off camera flash. I sometimes like to start with my ISO around 400 so I don't need to fuss with it mid-shoot as the sun sets and the ambient light quickly drops. Another added benefit of ISO 400 is I don't need to run my strobe at full power, extending the life of the battery during my shoot. Thanks for watching and inquiring!
Thanks for the detailed shooting-video. I wonder if you do have some shots with her laughing? Between the shots she had some nice natural face expression while laughing. Do you like the 85mm f2? Greetings.
Her smile really does shine. There’s another video on my channel with lots more footage of Tamara smiling. I like the 85mm it’s light and early to shoot with. Thanks for watching!
Hello Master : Please help and give me some advice, The camera I am currently using is Canon EOS R10, The kit lens used with it is (RF-S18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM) My main subject matter is toy photography. The secondary shooting content is street photography or portrait photos. Now I want to buy new lenses, after watching your video, Want to compare between Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM and RF85mm F2 Macro IS STM After making a choice, I would like to ask you to give me some advice on which lens is more suitable for me? Thank you.
I saw many of your videos and i noticed you usually crop the feet of the models. Is it done on purpose? In this video many shots look overexposed in the face.
Hello, ignoring other factors that only care about the sharpness and color of the image, Canon RF 85 f2 is still very good, isn't it, I don't need bokeh and background removal. Thank ( Google Translate)
Hi! Yes this is a sharp lens and the colors are consistent and accurate. I'm going to art school right now and I've been using this lens to document my art projects, it's been the perfect lens for photographing paintings and sketches! Thank you for the question, hope this helps.
5:38 pics are completed blown out. Why shutter speed is at 1/400 instead 1/1000 or 1/2000 and shoot it with f2 and iso 100. It will look much better.
Thank you for your comment!

Why u over exposing the model with the flash bruhh turn that sht down hahaha
Don't worry we got that flash dialed in later in the vid! Thanks for watching!
sarebbero state più belle senza flash
A iluminação na modelo aparenta estar superexposta!
Aparenta? Tá superexposta pra cacete kkkkk
Wow. I don't care for how any of those portraits are lit. Not the lens' fault. Way over exposed on the face. Looks pretty terrible to be honest.
📸😍
I see only the girl 🫣🥳
