"Go a little bit further after it clicks"....no sir thats not correct, when the torque wrench clicks then its at the set point you put it at. Id recommend stopping when it clicks. 👍🏼 Nice wheels man, love the alcoas
Going a bit further after it clicks is called over torqueing. Thats how you break studs, stretch threads, and lose wheels. Go til it clicks, then a second time, then move on. Retorque it after about 50-100 miles.
one of the sickest duallies out there! there is not another one looking as kick ass as this one. the way you got those big rig wheels on there just makes it look so mean with the 35's. I miss the stack tho, one of my favorite channels, you, and your fam just make it awesome to watch. cant wait for more videos.
Thanks so much for the kind comment and support! We really appreciate it and that means a lot to us! We’re glad you like the truck and the channel! The stack will be coming back soon! Not sure when just yet! More videos on the way soon! Thanks for watching!
Nice wheels. So 4 foot bar to remove the lug nuts but 18 inch torque wrench to put them on. You can get a shorter wheel stud for those adapters. Those are so long because they normally have a brake drum on them also
Nice video. That’s definitely one of the sickest setups I’ve seen on a 2nd gen. I liked the look before but man it looks so nice with these wheels and tires.
Thanks for the support 💪🏻 we’d have to agree with that lol, the wheels really set off this truck! Got some other cool mods on the way soon! Can’t wait to share it with you all! Thanks for watching!
What width are your wheels? I just bought 24.5 SEMI wheels for my 2nd Gen Ram 3500 and I’m taking them to get milled next week. Also mine are 12” wide, so I’d like to know how wide yours are and if you have had any clearance issues?
Why no spare for the front? I know you can still make it home or to a shop if one back tire blows, but you're stuck on the side of the road without a spare for the front. About the torque wrench, you don't "give it more" after it clicks the first time. You risk damaging the spring in the torque wrench if you keep tightening the bolt/nut passed the "click" sound. You rotate the handle until you hear it click once, release your pressure on the torque wrench, then rotate it until you hear it click again. Failure to follow the correct procedure can leave the fastener over or under torqued. It might not be that critical on spacers for semi wheels, but please don't "give it the beans" when you do any engine or drivetrain work.
I ran 16 ply tires on my duramax milk truck on 19.5's for 5 years up the I-70 corridor, and I'm sure thats why I destroyed my back. Great on tire wear and load handling but seven destroyed discs and scores of ruined HD front tie rods. Once I get further into my recovery I am going back to ten plys on 20's.
When you had the Alcoa on there what size tire did you have before you did the swap an what size spacers were on there before all of it nice rims what did you endedbbbbnm
It definitely fits the truck well! More mods are on the way and it will look even more amazing! We can’t wait to share this build with everyone! Thanks for watching!
He hasn’t had any problems with this set up. No rubbing either. Not sure of the adapter brand, I can’t recall but he purchased everything from a place called Dually Proz in Ohio! Thanks for watching!
Awesome to see a fan from Puerto Rico! Any diesel trucks like this from where you’re from? We’re glad you like it! Thanks for the support and for watching!
any update on the ride..? do they rub? got mine milled just searching for tires.. was gonna go with 33s but your 35s look like just the right amount of meat. awesome job good video!!!!
My brother ordered everything as a kit for this wheel setup from a place called Dually Proz! They’re based out of Ohio! Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!
If you wanna keep them up to par order the right equipment cause water will actually make those rims look like garbage not before long, you need a Chicago adjustable speed polisher, medium, heavy, and finish cut polishing wheels, zephyr pro 40, charcoal lighter fluid, spray bottle, lots of rags, and you need 2 specific polishing bars, I used to polish semis to where we actually got it too reflective an ended up catching my buds pants on fire cause he sat there too long, those are clean rims, but not what they could be, an if they get a scratch you can sand up from 80-800 grit in stages an get rid of any blemishes or scratches
Ohh for sure, we’re gonna look into some equipment and materials to keep these rims up to their cleanest potential lol. We appreciate the tips! Well look into some of that for sure. Thanks for watching!
What do you guys think about Dodge change trucks to Ram. I am getting a 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 in two weeks. If I bought new it would be a Ram 3500 made by Ram. A Ram Ram 3500. I ordered new headlights for my truck. Yours look good.
It’s all on preference. 2nd gens are very popular, but might require alittle work if you don’t buy one in perfect shape. The newer year / gen you get the more expensive it is also likely to be. Thanks for watching!
Looks good👍🏾👍🏾I did the same thing to my gmc duramax dually after awhile the stock 3:73 gears were replaced with 4:56 gears front and rear and she pulls hard👍🏾👍🏾....I can do 70mph at 1800 rpm 75 mph at 2000 rpm which isn't really that bad for a 6 speed automatic
Did you recalibrate the speedometer after you swapped the wheels? I mean, wouldn't a bigger wheel affect what the truck speed was calibrated for with the smaller ones? I know nothing about the ratio on wheel sizes, but I have seen it on several other videos after they upgraded to a bigger wheel size.
Yeah the speedometer might be alittle off now. We’re going to have to recalibrate it. The new tires aren’t that much bigger but it all adds up when talking about speed. Good comment and we appreciate the advice! Thanks for the support and for watching!
They look amazing that’s for sure! If you get the opportunity you should get one! Heck sometimes I wish I owned my brothers truck lol! Thanks for watching!
Most kids that like to roll coal and put big wheel little tires on don't haul anything or need a 3/4 or 1 ton truck. You get one just because you want one no problem with that. Enjoy
Hey brother I may have missed it. 35”x??/22 whats the tire width? I’m wanting to do 37/12.5/22 on Alcoa’s on my 2020 Cummins 3500 and have you had any issues since this? Also I’ve heard torque the adapter to the truck 140lbs but up to 300lbs on the wheel to adapter is that true?
They are 35x12.50x22. There were no issues other than a few lug nut spike covers bending in rear from heat. But heard that’s normal. I can’t recall the torque lbs on the adapters. I believe we did 160lbs but could be off by a bit. Thanks for watching!
Cat stack exhaust tip, 😂 check out our install video on it lol. We might be putting the huge stack from the old truck onto this one soon! Glad you like the truck! Thanks for watching!
Those thunderer track grips are the nicest and cheapest tire you can buy. They dig, don’t make much noise and have a nice meaty tread. I got mine in 33x12.50s on a 17 in rim and they look great.
"Go a little bit further after it clicks"....no sir thats not correct, when the torque wrench clicks then its at the set point you put it at. Id recommend stopping when it clicks. 👍🏼
Nice wheels man, love the alcoas
Have a set on my semi
Friend: "yeah just keep torquing".
Also Friend: "damn, are they that tight".
People wonder why they break bolts. Guten tite

Trucker here… those lugs are normally set near 200 lb/ft of torque. So yes, extra long breaker bar required.

I just took my 22.5s off after 5 years of suffering a super stiff ride. My mistake was not milling them down to 22 so that I could use regular tires.
Still sounds like you have a nice set up! Stiff rides are no fun lol! Thanks for watching!
Let's see Flatbed conversion really though, nice ride
