Excellent review, I just got one and I did not know how to use the 30 deg base. This video was helpful in that. I must mention two negatives though. (1) Charging using micro USD is getting outdated, most people will carry around USB C with them. (2) My previous MX mouse was connecting to 3 devices, this connects to only two devices. One may ask why needing three, I actually used three devices a lot.
Sadly, this is due for a refresh. The option for 3 devices and magspeed scrolling on the MX master Series 3 turned out to be incredibly useful. I am on the road, forgot my mouse and am considering this one to stay in my laptop bag. This is almost perfect
1 issue that only rears its ugly head after a few years is the degradation and peeling of the rubber. The wheel can also eventually become clogged with debris (hair, skin etc.) requiring the mouse to be opened completely which requires long screwdriver bits. Finally the plastic that triggers the actuators wears away eventually and, in my case, required an extra piece of plastic in between to actually register clicks.
"The ball feels 'pretty' smooth"? The m570s that I have to replace almost every year - is due to the ball Not Gliding Smoothly. I have 6 of these laying around. Some have broken switches but mostly it's the dang scratchy feeling ball that goes, making, e.g., landing your cursor between two letters in a sentence challenging. I'm to the point now where I'm investigating other brands of thumb trackball mice!
I have the MX Keys and MX Master Series 3 which I picked up 2 months ago or so. After a month I went back to my Magic Keyboard and Mouse combo for my MacBook Pro. Not sure why, by the mouse scroll would flip on its own at times, which was only fixable with a reboot. The keyboard backlighting would send my MacBook out of sleep mode constantly, and at times the special keys would stop working, and again, only a reboot would fix it. I would disconnect the bluetooth and yet my mouse would still be connected... weird stuff man. If I could have I would have returned the set. I now use it on my Windows PC, and have my MacBook and iPad set as device 2 & 3. Barely use it now... Have you been using this mouse primarily with the MacBook, and if so, any issues or glitches?
That is so strange that the MX keys and Master series didn't work for your MacBook Pro. Which version do yo have? I've been using the ergo MX trackball mouse on my MacBook Pro with no issues at all for about a month. I just ordered the MX ergo keyboard and will be pairing it with the MacBook Pro. I'll do a video on the setup.

Is it possible to use BOTH the "normal" MX mouse and the ERGO+ mixed... I mean can I have both connected at the same time and use them one or the other? I would be happy with a response/answer very much... thank you and take care!

Can you remove the ball and manually use the mouse as you would traditional type?

Been using Logitech Trackball since '90s it's the white one with red ball PS/2 connection, never going back to mouse.
