I think the plugin sounds great. I genuinely excited to see how they implement it on the QC. Having that extra clean channel opens up the ability to have some really diverse presets, especially with how well the Soldano does heavy distortion too
The SLO Sparkle capture (I think it's by Rabea Massad) is really good for a nice clean tone. I found I had to turn down the gain a bit, but depends on how hot your pickups are.
Amalgam's captures Sounds like the best. I myself have also tested Toneking vs. Amalgam and Morgan 20 vs. Amalgam. I can at least hear the difference that the captures take away the profit.
I definitely prefer the sound of the plugin over the included QC or Amalgam captures. Excited to hear it ported over to the QC soon. Are you going to check out the Fortin Nameless plugin as well?
Wow slo plugin sounds great against all. I already love it but I was wondering for a comparison. Thanks for making it happen 🙏🏻 Are you planning to do any other? For me the Rabea, Tone King, Cory Wong etc. would be so interesting 😊 Thanks for your effort 🤘🏻
BTW did you ever use the "Sold slo crunch" capture of ToneJunkie? I really wondered your opinions for a comparison of that one with the SLO plugin after this beautiful video 👊🏻

One tone I have yet to perfect on the QC is that 80’s clean chime tone, but it sounds like you have it at 3:28!
I've done a couple things on that: th-cam.com/video/4UOd0pcag4c/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/VG_4vfT3gpc/w-d-xo.html

I may look into it, but I'm not much of a high gain player so it's not a plugin I'm familiar with.
@@davlavmusic7070 Do you know what amp it is trying to emulate?
@@Doublehelix3216 I think its the Fortin Meshuggah signature amp

Here's the Tone King: th-cam.com/video/KEGRVYORYgY/w-d-xo.html

Plini: th-cam.com/video/iUbG1LIQ3zg/w-d-xo.html
I've done a few but likely won't do other comparisons until they get closer to the QC compatibility.
Really good comparison davlav. Agree with the rankings, plugin sounds best followed by the amp sims. What guitar/pickups are you using?
I was using my John Page HSS. The mech pickup is a Suhr V60 put the others are stock.
@davlavmusic7070 Thanks. It sounded great!
please upload to cloud cortex
Done. You'd need to have purchased the Amalgam Captures to fully use it, but the model configurations are there.
