Smoke the mold , something i learned helps with a better pour.
I usually set it on top for awhile before I start

What jig head mold is that?
Great video lots of detail I am thinking about buying a crappie jig mold and was wondering what you would recommend and what is your favorite size for crappie?
Appreciate the input! I don’t fish crappie too much but the sizes I see the most are around the 2” size. Hope that helps!
Would you clear coat them too? As a final step, after the eyes for example, just to make everything more solid?
I’ve never had a problem personally with no clear coat. Everything stands up pretty well in my opinion
Got to keep that powder coat fluffy. You actually use less and save a few pennies.

how do you keep the eyelets clear of paint?
I use a thin piece of wire when it’s when and if it’s covering the hole after it’s baked, I have a drill bit that’s a tiny bit smaller than the eyelet and then file the hole so it won’t cut the line
You need some sprue cutters my man
I have some, but I just didn’t like how they cut. I’ll try a different pair after your comment!

I’m not sure if I have any molds that small. I will have to look when I get back in town tomorrow. No underspins yet. That will be in the future though.
