Whilst the graphics weren't my cup of tea (not from a presentation standpoint but more my lack of knowledge of things graphic beyond Times New Roman and Verdana), I enjoyed your views on the American model press. I've found them to be flat since the 80's after authors like Malcolm Furlow, who was a great "why and how" author rode off into the sunset. I'm not really sure that new ownerships can save them, they basically regurgitate the same old concepts in a different wrapper.
Hello Ian, I drove and fired Terrier 662 Martello on the West Somerset Railway in December 2007. Driving up the cutting to Washford the track was wet and the engine started slipping; I shut and opened the regulator quickly till the wheels gained traction.
I purchased the Dapol O gauge Terrier 672 Fenchurch as it is the same colour.
How easy would it be to rename Fenchurch as Martello? I would have to change the name and change the cab plates to 662 plus the buffer bar.
Good question. I know there are many different ways to remove lettering. I found this page on the Rapido website that lists quite a few methods to try. rapidotrains.com/warranty/product-support/removing-factory-applied-artwork? There’s many a small cottage industry that would be able to make new cab plates for you.
@@MicroModelRailwayDispatch Thank you Ian. I will try using T Cut, as advised on rapidotrains site, to remove the lettering as I already have that for my motorbike.
As you say the cab plates are available.
