for real i hit subscribe just of the way you are presenting here. Love it. You make people feel good and your content is quality. Thanks for your work.
1. You narrate well. 2. You clearly know typography 3. I would have liked this video even more if the visual portion was all examples. Basically when it comes to typography i feel awash in an ocean of possibilities. Fortunately I do non fiction so its garamond or times new roman for me. But typography is THE most important part of non fiction book covers. Anyway i will watch it again but it is less eyestrain if i don't have to try to find the actual visual content in the video.
No. Font and typeface are not the same thing. A font is a specific glyph set within a typeface. A typeface is the group of fonts within the same family. Goudy Old Style Italic is a font. The family of Goudy Old Style fonts (Regular, Bold, Italic, Bold Extended, etc) is a typeface. (And, yes, this distinction does matter, especially when setting type by hand.)
Try rotoscoping the subject in your video. After it’s done rotoscoping, freeze it. Now your subject should be separated from the background. Now you would need a background for your subject. Then you can now layer the text atop the background, and it will be behind your text.
Any videos about visual storytelling with graphic design 👀 Im finding myself diving deeper and deeper into that subject lately and would enjoy it from the Master himself 🫡
Absolute legend, you actually give infos in such a unique way that I prefer taking it from you other than a professional course.

The example of the two display fonts clashing was so helpful. It's rare to find actually unique typography tips!
You are definitely a necessity to the design community. Blessings
I think you meant 'monospace' font, not 'monotype'? Monotype is a company that makes all types of fonts.
I always leave a Seso video, more educated than I was before.
